At the beautiful Hotel Laguna, surrounded by their friends and family, Christina and Charley said, “I do.”

At the beautiful Hotel Laguna, surrounded by their friends and family, Christina and Charley said, “I do.”   Coming from the high desert, the ocean breeze was refreshing, offering them the perfect paradise to officially begin their lives as husband and wife.  With her father nervously walking her down the aisle, Christina looked the picture of perfection, and as they approached the flower adorned gazebo, Charley greeted her.  His own eyes had teared up the moment he saw her.

Both Charley and Christina know the importance of faith in their lives. Reading from Colossians they grounded their marriage in the words of Paul who reminded them to clothe themselves in love and always be grateful for the lives and love they have been given.

There were lots of laughs in their ceremony: there was a bit of difficulty getting Charley’s ring over his knuckle – the pair demonstrated their skill in working together as partners and eventually got it on!   We know it’s not ever coming off!   And when the time came for their sand ceremony – we all giggled a bit as they employed a ketchup bottle move, in order to get the still damp sand out of one of the bottles.   Like marriage, we can make all the best plans—but things are often out of our control.  Thankfully, Christina and Charley know laughter is the best way to make it through when things don’t go exactly as expected!  In the end, those little moments of laughter will be memorable moments!

They were all smiles, when they were finally announced husband and wife, cheered on by their friends and family!  Congratulations to the happy couple: Charley and Christina!

A long time dream comes true for Philip and Marti Officiant Lisa Smith of Great Officiants had the honor and pleasure of marrying this loving couple on beautiful Corona Del Mar Beach, California

A long time dream comes true for Philip and Marti Officiant Lisa Smith of Great Officiants had the honor and pleasure of marrying this loving couple on beautiful Corona Del Mar Beach, California. Saturday, June 3, 2017  Philip and Marti came from Indiana to fulfill their dream wedding on the beach of the Pacific ocean at last. It took a lot of phone meetings and careful planning to make it all happen Marti and Philip were joined by their son daughter family and close friends.  As we all gathered for the ceremony it seemed that time stood still for this precious moment in time. The look on Philip and Marti’s faces said it all!
They composed their own heart felt vows to one another there was not a dry eye on the beach it was so romantic just magical.  They included a colorful Sand Ceremony and poem.  As Philip and Marti continued filling their sand container All of us bowed our heads for a special marriage blessing and to wish Philip and Marti Love Health and Happiness for their lifetime and forever more. Dream Granted  Bravo!!

Congratulations to Zoe Rahimi & Jason Nolen on their March 25, 2017 wedding at the Vibiana in Los Angeles, CA.

Congratulations to Zoe Rahimi & Jason Nolen on their March 25, 2017 wedding at the Vibiana in Los Angeles, CA.  The venue was breathtaking, for which pictures do not do justice.  It was a former church converted into an event center that retained the altar and church motif.  The altar area was complete white marble with marble flooring and stairs.  The brides runway was white marble planks.  It was a Persian wedding.  Although they did not have a traditional Persian ceremony, they did have a “huge” Persian Sofreh Aghd on display.  After the brides entry, I explained (for the benefit of the non-Persian guests) the significance and symbolism of the Sofreh Aghd.  I also delivered my open remarks in Farsi!  The couple made a rose presentation to their moms and replaced the traditional sand ceremony with a glass ceremony, which is similar to the sand ceremony except that glass crystals are used which are later blown into a personalized glass sculpture (bowl, vase, etc.).  The ceremony went flawless from start to finish with the perfect mix of seriousness, humor, laughter and some tears (of joy)!  I’m sure all 200+ guests had as great a time at the reception as I had officiating for such a great couple!  My very best for a great life together.

Congratulations to Kristie Beckman & Thomas Rinehart on their March 5, 2017 wedding at The Mitten Building in Redlands, CA

Congratulations to Kristie Beckman & Thomas Rinehart on their March 5, 2017 wedding at The Mitten Building in Redlands, CA.  The ceremony went exactly as planned with the “nervous ” groom managing to get through the ceremony in one piece!  He was breathing so heavy, we couldn’t keep the candles lit.  Kristie’s entrance was great as she entered right on queue with the Bagpipes.  They added the Sand Ceremony to the traditional ceremony for the perfect personal ceremony.  My best to the happy couple!

Congratulations to Christina Hueso and Maulin Soneji on their August 7, 2016 wedding at the Fullerton Arboretum at Cal State Fullerton in Fullerton, CA

Christina & Maulin S. - 08.07.16
Congratulations to Christina Hueso and Maulin Soneji on their August 7, 2016 wedding at the Fullerton Arboretum at Cal State Fullerton in Fullerton, CA.  The setting there is always beautiful and serine – back to nature!  The ceremony in the midst of the trees, greenery and wildlife, with guests sheltered from the elements.  They added the sand ceremony and a presentation to Christina’s son, Sebastian by Maulin.  The rose presentation to their moms was very heartfelt and touching.  The ceremony was the perfect blend and coming together of very different cultures in a very beautiful way.  My best to Dr. & Mrs. Soneji as they head to the Mideast to begin their new life with a hopeful return to California in a few years.
