Saturday, Kevin and Megan got married at, Plaza de Magdalena in San Juan Capistrano. These two foodies designed their Custom Ketubah to reflect their passion for cooking. Smiles were everywhere and reflected the serene coming together of these two incredible people. Mazel Tov to a wonderful couple.
On Saturday, the eve of the Feast of St. Mary Magdalene, the Jaramillo and Benton families gathered with their friends to celebrate the Catholic Rite of Marriage Outside of Mass at Plaza de Magdalena. Located only a block away from Mission San Juan Capistrano in south Orange County, Plaza de Magdalena is an ideal and beautiful place to celebrate a wedding.
Kimmy and Kevin opted to have scripture readings included in their Rite of Marriage allowing for fuller participation of their families in the ceremony. In addition to using the vows of the Church, they also wrote their own beautiful vows to one another. The ceremony ended with the parents of the newly married couple performing a “sand ceremony” along with the couple.
It has been a real pleasure over the last few months to work with Jinwen Li and Christopher Fong on the preparations for their wedding ceremony. Today, surrounded by their families and friends, we finally celebrated their wedding at the Catamaran Resort in San Diego.
The Catamaran, a truly beautiful place to celebrate a wedding and to mark the start of a new life together, is located in the San Diego neighborhood of Pacific Beach. The beautiful property sits between the San Diego Bay and Mission Beach.
The actual ceremony took place in the warm white sand overlooking the calm blue water of the bay. Although the marine layer rolled in off the Pacific just before the wedding started, the sun came out from behind the clouds as the couple read the vows they prepared for one another. Appropriate to the setting, they closed their wedding with a sand ceremony to mark the permanent character of their commitment.Share This Post: Follow Us On Social Media:
Roger had honor of marrying Alan & Aileen this last weekend at the beautiful Serra Plaza in San Juan Capistrano. It is a beautiful place and a lovely couple. But this wedding had something extra special that Roger had never experienced ! They had a grand sendoff ! Now we have all seen in movies when the bride & groom rush out to their car with all their guests there to celebrate them…. Well that is exactly what happened ! They had this beautiful classic car running and waiting and they made their way out and off they went ! It was spectacular !!
It was truly breath-taking. Jayme and Janeen had a classic spanish guitarist play them down the aisle. The Villa in the small spanish town of San Juan Capistrano looked the part, covered in ivy, a large mahogony door with handmade door knockers to welcome guests. And even though Jayme is a hardcore Yankees fan (he’s from the East Coast) and Janeen is a huge Giants fan, their unity was truly heartfelt. They even included their 7 year old Boston Terrier, Yankee, into the ceremony. It was truly a treat for all.
When Sean and Ashley were discussing their wedding ceremony with me they wanted to do something different. Being that they enjoyed beer, they chose to do a black and tan beer blending unity ceremony.
Black and tan is customarily done by mixing two beers together Harp and Guiness. when poured together properly they separate leaving the dark beer on the bottom and a lighter beer on top and then when the class is tilted and drank both parts flow onto your palate.
So during the ceremony they blend of the two together and drank it.
Then similar to the wine box and love letter ceremony they placed a bottle of Harp and Guiness into a box along with some love letters that they wrote the night before.
everything in the ceremony just turned out so wonderful and special and the couple and all the guests loved it.
Officiant Greg had the wonderful honor of marrying John and Yulie Park on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the historic and beautiful Serra Plaza in San Juan Capistrano, California.
What a beautiful venue! Located very close to the Mission San Juan Capistrano, it was constructed in the "Mission Style" with a central courtyard and fountain. Historic tile frescos depicted the story of Father Junipero Serra life's work building the Missions in California.
The central courtyard was the most perfect spot for the wedding. The fountain, the stringed quartet, as well as perfect weather made John and Yulie's special day the best it could possibly be!
Yulie's wedding dress was very elegant with a long train that made her so very beautiful. John's gray tux looked very sharp. All the bridesmaids and groomsmen looked marvelous.
The ceremony, customized by Officiant Greg was loving, warm heartfelt, and just a little funny. The ceremony included the "blending of the sands" which was very special. The couple presented their own personal vows, which were very sweet, loving and romantic. John and Julie, as well as their dear family and friends really enjoyed the wedding.
Special thanks to Jenny Chang of Rocknevents for her expert help and assistance.
All of us at Great Officiants congratulates John and Yulie and wish them much love and happiness in their future together.
On May 10th, our Great Officiant Anthony was the Officiant of record for this intimate an elopement at the Palisades Gazebo Park. It was just the three of us for a short, basic ceremony on a perfectly lovely day!
Nikki & Randy
Nikki and Randy had a fairly traditional ceremony at The Villa in San Juan Capistrano, a WONDERFUL venue! We were interrupted by the bells ringing at the mission so we took a short break until that ended. They did however add something personal – a pinky promise. This is something they have done since early in their relationship. They made their promises hooked pinkies and kiss hands. So romantic!Share This Post: Follow Us On Social Media:
