Rev. Sarah performs a wedding on the sand in Redondo Beach, Frank performs one at Casa Romantica in San Clemente, and he performs one at Hotel Maya in Long Beach

On the very beach where they got engaged, Alex and Jenny said, “I do!”   They opted for a Great Officiants Beach wedding, so everything was set up and ready for them when they got there –and it looked beautiful!  With the arch, flowers, and white chairs—it was the picture of perfection!  Of course, what really made it perfect was the two of them.  Walked down the aisle, by her son, Jenny looked gorgeous.  Alex had kept his gaze away, so he wouldn’t see her as she walked down the long Redondo Beach ramp and made her way to the aisle.  When he turned around there were tears as he locked eyes with his bride.

Both Alex and Jenny are salsa dancers, to their ceremony was focused on the intricacies of dance as a metaphor for marriage.   In this bilingual wedding  they chose to say their vows and exchange rings in Spanish, while I went back and forth between the two languages.  Their journey together has been very much like a dance, as they have gently maneuvered their lives, all the while letting love lead. Now as they begin their lives as a married couple, they vow to continue to dance, even when it’s hard, when they’ve forgotten the steps, or step on one another’s toes…still they dance and as long as they let love lead, their dance will be beautiful!

It was a joy to get to know this couple and see how they support one another, make sacrifices for the other, compromise, and invest in their love.  Many blessings Jennifer and Alex!   May your marriage be as beautiful as your wedding day!

Congratulations to Kaitlyn Marmaduke & Shawn Davidson on their Saturday, August 5, 2017 wedding at the beautiful Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens in San Clemente, CA.  It was a beautiful day, not to mention an exceptional setting overlooking the pacific ocean from the balcony cliff patio.  Although you were able to feel the temperature the ocean breeze was present as well.  It was an eloquent ceremony that was perfect from start to finish in every aspect.  They added the Rose presentation to their moms, which is always a toughing part of the ceremony.  Afterwhich, guests enjoyed cocktails on the beautifully appointed lawn followed by dinner in a “long awaited air conditioned” banquet hall.  My best to the NOW Mr. & Mrs.!

Congratulations to Diana Catibog & Vinson Yague on their Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Hotel Maya in Long Beach, CA.  It was a beautiful evening for a wedding with approximately 200 guests on the lawn at the edge of the water overlooking the Long Beach Seaport Village.  It was an elegant ceremony which included a Rose Bouquet presentation to Diana and Vinson’s moms as well as an exchange of heartfelt written personal vows.  The reception banquet room was eloquently appointed and the setting for a perfect time for all in attendance with beautiful ocean views following a relaxing outdoor cocktail hour on the patio on the water.  My very best to the newly married couple.

A Glorious day has just happened GREAT Officiants Lisa Smith had the pleasure and honor of composing and officiating Jon and Samantha’s perfect Dream Wedding Ceremony. We came up with one of the best ever ceremonies, one that  creates  lasting heartfelt memories. These two young lovers are  Doctors in the PHD department studying at UCLA. They are building a perfect future together and chose to become united in marriage today. At Los Angles Athletic Club. Located in Downtown Los Angles. This is a beautiful historical venue, family owned since the 1800’s. Wow what a first class blast from the past. So opulent, ornate, and grand simply elegant ! The nuptials took place on the rooftop at 6:45 pm surrounded by excited loving family and friends. We were granted perfect weather a balmy 78* slightly breeze. With a fabulous view of Santa Monica Beach and all of Los Angles A big Thanks to Coordinator Cynthia Najares and the professional first class staff everything was very well Orchestrated! All involved communicated so well we were all on Point. Bravo for a beautiful bright abundant future to Mr. And Mrs. Zink Thanks for choosing Great Officiants

This weekend joined by friends and family they were all honored to be there for this lovely couple they were sharing “universal love” ! the love between two families who come from so far away. From  two different continents. For this beautiful once in a lifetime occasion It took place at Alta Vista Golf and Country Club in Placentia California.  We were blessed with the most beautiful day a light breeze in the air with the dappled sunlight glistening through the trees we proceeded with our Heartfelt Ceremony. Amy’s dad was so proud to give his daughters hand in marriage there was not a dry eye in the house, or should I say on the beach! Emotions were very high but we pulled through with good tears and laughs. The sand ceremony was also a grand symbol of the blending of these two lives. followed by the awesome reception it was just inside set up so perfect with all the trimmings and great attention to detail the view was outstanding all the windows facing the glorious sunset over the Pacific ocean as jackie and Amy joined by family and friends they ate fabulous food, partied and danced the night away. Check out these three weddings at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, the Piru Mansion in Fillmore, and the Portofino Hotel in Redondo Beach

Image

Roger had the honor of marrying Andrew & Marie this last Sunday at the always wonderful Calamigos Ranch in Malibu.  And it was at his favorite spot there, the Oaks Room !  This amazing location at the ranch overlooks an extraordinary waterfall and is the perfect place to marry the person of your dreams !  It was going to be a fun filled wedding and best of all, their love-of-their-life dog who they call Bear was going to be there to celebrate with them.  Now Bear is a beautiful Golden Retriever and she was incredibly excited to be part of the action that day !  So much that at the exact moment Roger asked for the rings from the best man, Bear decided that she would jump up and help facilitate the handing of the rings to Roger !!  Needless to say, standing next to a waterfall with rings being bounced around made for great fun !!  But all turned out and the wedding went off without a hitch.  And best of all, Bear stole the show !

Roger had the honor of marrying Matt & Jill this last weekend at the beautiful Piru Mansion in Fillmore.  It was a perfect day, the weather was stunning, and Roger had a great time with the audience.  They were a fun group all there to celebrate this adorable couple Matt & Jill.

Roger had the honor of marrying Sheldon & Christine at the ever so beautiful Portofino Hotel & Yacht Club in Redondo Beach this last weekend.  It is a beautiful place to marry, overlooking the bay.  And it is such a nice location, the local seals also find it very appealing.  So Roger always tells his couples that they may hear a few squawks from the local seal residents during the ceremony.  When Roger got there, the groom mentioned that it was surprisingly quiet from the seal community that day and that on their rehearsal day, they were in full swing!  Roger told him that maybe they would get lucky !  Not so fast…….  No sooner did the music start to play for the processional, so did the seals join in for their part of the song !  And they never stopped !  It was actually quite amusing watching Roger trying to dodge the sound effects of the “additional guests” !  But Roger, the trooper he was, gave a wonderful ceremony albeit a very noisy one !

The Beautiful Wedding………

Image

Roger had the honor of marrying Mark & Taylor this last weekend at the most extraordinary Redondo Beach Historic Library and Community Center.  It was a beautiful wedding with a fun filled crowd and Roger really pulled out the stops on this one.  Lot’s of laughs and lots of tears.

It was a wonderful wedding…. So much that Mark & Taylor took time out or their celebration to send this note below.

Roger,

Just wanted to say, thank you thank you thank you! You knocked it out of the park with our ceremony.  It was thoughtful, hilarious, and sweet.  We loved it and our guests were absolutely blown away by how funny it was.  It exceeded our expectations and we are so grateful to you for really taking the time to understand what we wanted, and delivering it!!

Sincerely,

Taylor and Mark

Last weekend was busy with two intimate and unique ceremonies that I will always remember.

Image

Redondo Beach was the setting for the wedding of Karl and Cathy Aldridge. Close friends and family gathered at the Portofino hotel. The most touching moments aside from the love the ride and grok clearly displayed was the affection their wedding party had for them.

Congrats Karl and Cathy!

A small cadre of family and friends gathered at the home of the neighbor of wedding couple Doug and Truc for a traditional Vietnamese Tea Ceremony that preceded the vow exchange.

The bride and groom presented gifts to each other’s parents who then blessed the union with the receipt of tea and wine.

Michele and Bob had a Casual and Fun Wedding at the Charthouse in Redondo Beach, by Suvin

Image

Michele and Bob have a wonderful love story and celebrated this at the Charthouse in Redondo Beach. They wanted to share this with their guests, so they elected to have the Greatest Package. With this upgraded package, I wrote custom vows and sprinkled tid bits of their relationship into the ceremony by a relationship questionnaire they filled out. They met 37 years ago, crossed paths many times throughout the years, and finally re met through the magic of Facebook! They were such a fun couple, they wanted a casual beach feel with lots of humor. Surrounded by family, friends, and the amazing view of the ocean, they exchanged vows, laughed together, cried together, gave each other that magic kiss, and may they live happily ever after…
