British Rapper, Young MC Could Not Steal The Show….…..

ger1
This last weekend Roger married a young couple Chris & Samantha on the ever-so-amazing Queen Mary. They were to have the ceremony outside on the aft deck of the ship……Now when Roger first had met with Chris & Samantha to write their wedding ceremony, the ceremony length turned out to be about 30 minutes with everything they wanted to add. Not a problem at all for Roger and that is what he wrote for them….. But a problem arose the day of the wedding. That morning, the groom’s mother called Roger and told him that they had a major dilemma. It seems that the grassy area off of the port side of the Queen Mary was holding a giant 80’s music concert with over a 1000 people in attendance!!! And the concert was to happen right during the wedding at 6pm!! But the great wedding staff on the Queen Mary had arranged for the concert to take a 15 minute break right at 6pm and could Roger squeeze his well written, lengthy 30 minute ceremony into 15 minutes!!!! Not a problem!! So with a little finesse….heck……a lot of finesse, Roger was able to squeeze 30 minutes into half of that time… But the concert didn’t live up to it’s promise and starting talking and gearing up for music at the 12 minute mark! So Roger had to kick in into high gear to finish the pronouncement before the very loud music started back up! And right when Roger was announcing them husband and wife, the 80’s rapper Young MC broke out into the great 80’s tune "Bust A Move"! So this young couple got the wedding of their dreams AND a celebrity singer to boot!!

After 34 Years, Married “At Last”! at the Reef in Long Beach

Mauricio just sent in this blog entry

Congratulations to Salvador and George who, after enjoying 34 years of committed

Salvador & George 2
love, married this past Sunday in Long Beach at The Reef on the Water. They were surrounded by friends and family including their surviving parents — George’s Mother and Salvador’s father. A recording of Etta James’s iconic song, “At Last”, played as the grooms entered. Standing with them as Salvador’s and George’s Best Men were their brothers Manuel and Karl respectively.

For their ceremony, Rev. A.Mauricio incorporated an excerpt from Judge Walker’s ruling that initially overturned Prop. 8 and referenced King David’s and Jonathan’s relationship which “surpassed the love of women” and ancient Egyptian same-sex couple Khnumhotep and Niankhkhnum (circa 2400BCE). It was a perfect day for George’s and Salvador’s rooftop wedding: The air was crisp and clean, the sky bright blue… even the Queen Mary seemed to bellow her affirmation at the appropriate time!

“Losing was never so wonderful!” Says the Groom

Thomas and Rachel were married at the Hotel Maya one of Long Beach’s most beautiful venues. Facing the waterfall with a view of the downtown skyline and the Queen Mary, Thomas and Rachel professed their love in an intimate ceremony with live classical music playing in the background. Truly a stunning setting and ceremony with many of their guests coming from South. Korea just the day before. Thomas playfully had to admit during the ceremony that he fell in love with Rachel the first time he met her when she soundly beat him in a round of golf! He said, “losing was never so wonderful!”

Congratulations Thomas and Rachel

The Queen the Don and Oh Maya

Did some Great Wedding Ceremonies this weekend.

Ana and Thomas Got married at the Awesome Hotel Maya in Long Beach. It was a celebration of love and laughter. It started late because one of their Parents were late, so I went out and entertained the crowd while they waited for it to begin. I was the warm act act. LOL.

Randy and Linda got married at Don the Beachcomber in Sunset Beach. I did a modified Hawaiian ceremony for them. What a beautiful tropical place to get married.

Kari and Ulf booked a huge suite on the Queen Mary Ship (my recomendation) and with just some close family they exchanged vows in their candle lit room.

We have a special “Wed and Bed” package set with them. Call us for the special code.
