Another Amazing Wedding at La Venta Inn

Image

Roger has married many a couple at the extraordinary La Venta Inn in Palos Verdes and it never fails to impress. Not only are the views amazing but the staff there is always top notch.  From Brian the parking director to Sharla the on site wedding coordinator, always a great team! Plus with Susan as their wedding coordinator, they were in good hands. Aaron and Britny, the wedding couple, who flew in from Missouri for the wedding wanted a light hearted ceremony with lots of laughs and heartfelt moments and boy did they get it! The both of them were cracking jokes thru the entire ceremony trying to make each other laugh and then they both tried to get Roger to break as well… And Roger being the professional that he is, held it together… sort of! Laughs were had all around!

The Gorgeous Vistas of Roessler Point

Image

Janet Reveles and Luis Morales were married in a gazebo at Roessler Point with a gorgeous vista from the cliffs of Palos Verdes. ¬†Not only did Great Officiants recommend to them this venue, they also recommended the ministry of Rev. Dr. Gary Barmore to plan with them and preside at their wedding. ¬†The nuptials were scheduled for sunset at 7:30. ¬†When it was 7:15 about twenty guests were present, but one or two had not arrived. ¬†Then another wedding group of ten showed up and their officiant asked if they could enter the gazebo for a “7 minute ceremony.” ¬†Luis and Janet — gracious all the way — said to go ahead. ¬† Then at 7:28 Rev Gary and the groom and immediate family entered the gazebo to commence the wedding event for this lovely couple. ¬†The bride’s father escorted her in just after the red-tinged sun had dropped out of sight in the west. ¬†Knowing the disappointment that might be there, Rev Gary said, “Luis and Evelyn, the sun on your wedding day has just set, but sunrise tomorrow will proclaim the oneness of the rest of your life on which will shine the blessings of God.”

Congratulations to Katie George & Daniel Zehr on their June 24, 2017 ceremony at the South Coast Botanic Garden in Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA.

Congratulations to Katie George & Daniel Zehr on their June 24, 2017 ceremony at the South Coast Botanic Garden in Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA.¬† It was a perfect day in the beautiful horticultural hideaway!¬† It was a “semi-simple” ceremony.¬† The couple added a reading by Daniel’s dad and a Rose presentation to Katie and Daniel’s moms.¬† They also added a Ring Warming ceremony, where before the ring exchange, the rings are passed through the rows and each guest holds the rings and “warms” them with a squeeze, a breath or a prayer of good wishes for the couple then hands them to the person next to them.¬† The last person hands them to the Best Man who hands to me (the officiant) who proceeds with the ring exchange portion of the ceremony.¬† Background music plays during the ring warming.¬† Another interesting note is that the groom handmade the wedding bands — might I add two very professional pieces of work, made with much love!¬† At the conclusion of the ceremony, the bride and groom danced off ‚ĶShare This Post:

Roessler Point Palos Verdes California May 2017

Wow what a hidden gem. Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Lisa Smith of Great Officiants had the pleasure of performing the nuptials for DG and Mariah it was a very chilly misty day however everybody gathered under the gazebo and created a very warm environment for this lovely couple joined by family from the Bay Area and close friends DG and Mariah ¬†tied the knot. Both DG and Mariah are so in love, I don’t think they even knew anybody else was there. The ceremony was very heartfelt they chose to write their own very special ¬†vows . And just as I pronounce them husband-and-wife a beautiful cool breeze blew the clouds away and there was the sun wishing DG a Mariah a lifetime of love peace health and happiness congratulations to this happy couple.

Rev. Ralph married Justin & Julia at the Roessler Point Gazebo

Image

There were only four of us there, but it was a joyous occasion as I (Rev. Ralph) married Justin & Julia in the presence of God and photographer McKenzie Smith (mckenziesmithphotography.com) at the Roessler Point Gazebo, Malaga Cove, in beautiful Palos Verdes.  It rained the day before and the day after, but was clear and calm for the quiet ceremony by the sea.

Claudia & Scott celebrated their marriage at a lovely setting by the seashore, at the Point Vicente Interpretive Center in Palos Verdes. ¬†Arriving early, Rev. Ralph stopped to enjoy the setting, and greet some of the arriving guests. ¬†The couple’s 2-year-old daughter Lola was the flower girl. ¬†As the ceremony began, Rev. Ralph asked Lola if she would promise to help make the family a happy and healthy one, and Lola responded by bursting into tears! ¬†We think that meant “yes.” ¬†After the ceremony, Claudia & Scott posed with Rev. Ralph and it was “all smiles” after that!

White Dove Release Wedding

Image

rogerjosekatelyn

Roger had the honor of officiating the wedding of Jose & Katelyn this last weekend at the most amazing La Venta Inn, a beautiful wedding venue and (a little bit of history) the first home built in Palos Verdes !  This wedding location has an amazing view of the ocean and expansive views of the coastline and what not better way to celebrate of this beautiful view and their wedding, but with a white dove release !  For as long as time, the white dove has been has been a symbol of peace, love and new beginnings… And at the end of the ceremony, Jose & Katelyn opened the beautiful cage and released the two doves who would now fly home together as a couple for doves stay together for life.  And you could easily spot the male dove because he was the one not following directions home.  The female dove had stopped talking to him as well!
