BEAUTIFUL WEDDING NEAR THE SITE OF A GREAT RESCUE!

Cassandra Hummel and Jamie Cruz-Flores were married at four on August 30 in a personal and dynamic ceremony conducted by Rev.Dr.Gary Barmore of Great Officiants.  The venue, Orange Hill Restaurant, was just up the hill from OC Mining Co. where a bride and groom, exactly two weeks previous, were rescued by Great Officiants.  It seems that the couple had been abandoned by their minister and two hours before “kickoff” the coordinator called Alan Katz of Great Officiants, who called Gary Barmore, who flew off with robe and vows to serve the stressed-out wedding party.  The bride and groom quickly warmed to Rev.Barmore and expressed afterward that it was the most beautiful ceremony they could have ever wished for.  The guests were amazed when they found out it was a “rescue” wedding, saying it seemed as if the minister had planned with the couple for months.  (That’s what Pro’s can do!)  Now as for Jamie and Cassandra’s nuptials at Orange Hill Restaurant, the terrace view was beautiful, and although the heat wave had finally eased, the guests appreciated the engaging and expeditious ceremony, so that after 20 minutes they could head into the air-conditioned ballroom.

French kiss at the French Estate in Orange

Sarah and David got married at the French Estate in the city of Orange. They pulled out all the stops with the kitch (see photos below.)

Their ceremony was a wonderful celebration they did a mother's rose presentation and a sand blending ceremony. They forgot to bring the sand in jars but luckily I have an extra set in my car. At the end of the wedding ceremony they brought up their child and did a family tribute.

The venue is a very cool place and works well with many different types of design.

A Picturesque View at the Orange Hill Restaurant

Wow! what a beautiful view from the patio of Orange Hill Restaurant for the guests of Mark and Kristi, and the view exploded to stunning when I turned this gorgeous couple toward the guests, affirming to family and friends that they were there not as spectators but participants in the ceremony. Then the guests unleashed a hearty "we will" in their pledge to be loving and supportive of this blended family of five.

Here is some information about Orange Hill Restaurant, direct from their website:

A Hawaiian Couple Ties the Knot in CA, by Frank

Congratulations to Emily & Michael Pesicka on their February 21, 2015 ceremony at The Vintage Rose in Orange, CA.  Everything about the ceremony was perfect – the venue, the coordinators, the DJ.  The couple made their way from Hawaii for three beautiful days in Southern California before heading home.  I was told that SoCal has it all over Hawaii.  Hard to believe, but it must – they didn’t get married in Hawaii!

Two weddings, a year apart in just a month, by Michael

Date: 12/14/14

Venue: Casa de Lago, Orange

David and Rebecca are such a sweet couple and an amazing way to end my year of weddings!  Everything at their venue was ready to go with one problem – a previous wedding's bride and groom were still in the ceremony location taking pictures!  Luckily I knew the photographer and he helped me quietly usher them away so that we could begin our ceremony.

They exchanged Vows, I Do's and walked away as husband and wife to a lively mariachi band where they ended their ceremony with a festive dance.

All our best!

Date: 1/17/15

Venue: Huntington Beach Waterfront Hilton

Cary and Wes were a joy couple to work with!  They wanted something truly unique to them, so I custom wrote and integrated their love story into their ceremony – how they met, first date, proposal, and other fun anecdotes we discussed over coffee a month prior.  Their guests loved it, and it set a perfect mood for the rest of the ceremony.

After they exchanged Vows, Rings and I Do's, I invited both of their mothers up to participate in a unity candle ceremony.

When they got back from their amazing honeymoon, they had this to say:

"Hey Michael,

We just got back from Maui…. Back to the grind.   It's great to hear from you.   We had a fantastic wedding day & it all started with a fantastic ceremony.   Cary &  I couldn't thank you enough for the love story you put together for us.   We had so many different people come up to us & compliment us on how great the entire ceremony was &  asking us how we knew /found you."

It was my great pleasure – congrats to you both!

Four Wonderful Weddings From Octavio, a Great Officiant!

Kyle & Jennifer

Kyle and Jennifer

Kyle & Jen are a spectacular couple, and the proud parents of an adorable little angel.  We met at a Starbucks so that they could get to know me a bit and decide if they wanted to book me as their Officiant.  This is something I do with most couples so they feel comfortable with who I am.

This wedding ceremony took place in a beautiful Malibu Estate!  The chairs and altar were set up poolside overlooking the ocean.  The weather couldn’t have been more perfect.

I walked down the isle first and took my position.  Then Kyle came down with his Mom and his Stepmom, bridesmaids and grooms men, then the beautiful Bride with her incredibly cool dad (who I had the chance to joke around with before the wedding).

This ceremony was magical as well as everyone there!  It is such a gift to be able to participate in a couple’s special day.  Each wedding is a reminder of why I chose to become an Officiant.

Juan & Mandi

Juan and Mandi

Juan and Mandi had an Officiant already booked but unfortunately due to a last minute change, he cancelled just a few days before their wedding.  Luckily they were referred to Great Officiants who of course saved the day, as we always do, and with great pleasure!

I received a call from one of our representatives a couple of days before asking if I could officiate their wedding and my eyes lit up!  “Of course!” I said.  Because it was so close to the wedding, we didn’t have a chance to meet in person.  We emailed back and forth so that I could find out what type of ceremony they wanted, etc.

The wedding took place at Orange County Mining Co., a beautiful venue located on a hill overlooking part of Orange County.  Juan and Mandi looked amazing and were so grateful that I came to officiate their wedding.  Mandi had a bun in the oven so I was super impressed with how grounded and calm she was through the entire ceremony.  Juan had the energy of an angel.  I’m truly grateful to have met them and have been a part of their wedding.

Shout out to Mandi’s mom, who was the sweetest person ever, her dad, and her stepfather!  And of course Juan’s mother, who also embraced me with her angelical energy, obviously who Juan got his from.

Julio & Ana

Julio and Ana

Julio contacted me a couple of weeks before his wedding.  We discussed some details and he decided to book me.  We didn’t meet up before the wedding because they were busy with work and all the other preparations as the couple took on the great task of planning their own wedding without a wedding planner.  Something not everyone can do but they excelled at it!

The wedding took place outside Khoury’s Restaurant in Long Beach, overlooking the ocean.  I had the pleasure of helping them with the order each would walk down the isle and where to stand, avoiding Julio from seeing Ana before the wedding.  The ceremony was in Spanish so that everyone would understand all of it.  It was a very sunny day, with no wind which made the perfect setting for an outdoor wedding.  Julio and Ana were the stars and did a wonderful job!  Needless to say they both looked stunning!

Thank you both for choosing me to be a part of one of the best days of your life!!!!!!

Julian & Iris

Julian and Iris

Julian, Iris, and I started working together via email a couple of weeks before their wedding.  We discussed all the details of what they wanted for their ceremony and everything came out spectacular.  We decided we would do the entire ceremony in Spanish.

This wedding was extra special for me.  For some reason, when I arrived to their home I felt like I was visiting my family back in Puerto Rico.  I felt very warm and welcomed.  Not to say I never have, but there was certainly something special in the air at this wedding.  The setting was beautifully done!

We started the ceremony and I could see the tears running down Iris cheeks.  Tears of joy and love.  It was such a heartfelt experience for me.  Julian was extraordinary as well.  I will never forget them.

Julian and Iris, blessings to you both and the best of luck always.  Thank you so much for giving me the gift of officiating your wedding!!!!!!
