The Perfect Wedding and Wedding Venue

Calamigos Ranch is a one of a kind wedding venue.  Not only is its location buried amongst the trees in Malibu, but it has many different settings on its grounds to have that perfect wedding. And Roger’s favorite is the Oak Room.  With that stunning waterfall as the backdrop, it lends itself to creating that perfect memory for the perfect wedding.  Now the only thing that Bobby & Meg, Roger’s wedding couple this last weekend, needed was the perfect ceremony to go with that perfect location.  And this is where Roger steps in.  Roger gave Bobby and Meg the fun-filled wedding they were hoping for.  All of the officiants that work for Great Officiants know that every wedding they do needs to be fun and romantic.  That’s their brand !  And this had all that and more.  It was a perfect wedding.

An & Gene had a very elegant Wedding Ceremony at the, always gorgeous, Calimigos Ranch in Malibu, CA. The venue is amazingly picturesque & a perfect place to have an outdoor Event. What a very sweet couple that took the time to create their own vows. This always makes a Ceremony very personal & meaningful! They are headed to Tokyo for their honeymoon & even invited me to go along (just kidding😜)!

Calamigos Ranch in Malibu is my favorite venue in all of Southern California. The fairy tale “Enchanted Forrest” vibe made me fall in love with it the very first time I step foot there

Calamigos Ranch in Malibu is my favorite venue in all of Southern California. The fairy tale “Enchanted Forrest” vibe made me fall in love with it the very first time I step foot there. I’ve only done three weddings here and wish I could do many more. It feels like home to me and if I ever get married it’s definitely going to be there!

Christian and Alejandra are such an amazing couple! Easy-going, relax, roll with the punches, “we’ll do whatever you think is better” type attitude made my experience delightful and unforgettable. To an extent where I didn’t want the ceremony to be over. They are the kind of couple that will stay in my heart forever!!!

God bless them!!!

Always a beautiful wedding at the Oaks Room…………

Roger had the pleasure of marrying Ryan & Ashley this weekend at the always amazing Calamigos Ranch.   Ryan & Ashley chose to marry in front of the waterfall at the Oaks Room, Roger’s favorite at the ranch.  It was a beautiful wedding and the coordinator Courtney was on top of everything to make sure they had the most perfect wedding…..and they did !!

When I arrived to their venue, the beautiful Mastro’s Ocean Club in Malibu, and met Raed for the first time we realized we’re both from Puerto Rico!!!

Raed & Gustavo live out of state so we didn’t have a chance to meet in person before their wedding. We were only able to communicate via email and texts as their careers are very demanding and on top of that they were planning their wedding on their own. All I knew was that they wanted a Spanish ceremony so I designed the perfect one for them and they loved it!

When I arrived to their venue, the beautiful Mastro’s Ocean Club in Malibu, and met Raed for the first time we realized we’re both from Puerto Rico!!! Five minutes into our conversation and being introduced to his friends I realized they knew part of my family and some of my friends from back home. The automatic love and connection between Puerto Ricans that meet outside of the island was immediately intensified!! It was like being with my own family and friends!! They even had a seat reserved for me and asked me to stay with them through the night.

I ended up exchanging numbers with some of their guests and the AWESOME couple invited me to come stay at their beautiful home. Needless to say we established a lifelong friendship. These people will be in my life forever.

I cannot express how much love I felt from them and all their guests. This was truly the best experience I’ve ever had!!!!

A Wedding Day Sign Like No Other………

Roger married Nicu & Marina this last Saturday morning at Point Dume.  It was to be a small, intimate, loving ceremony, maybe only 10 people attending.  The only worry for the day was the forecasted rain.  When Roger left his home that morning to head out for the wedding it was raining pretty hard.  He could only hope that Mother Nature had different plans that day other than to ruin a young couples wedding ceremony….   Because at Point Dume, you don’t really have any other back up plans to get out of the rain……. Roger got there extra early to see if he could formulate some kind of plan if indeed the black storm clouds overhead erupted into rain.  But as Roger was waiting for the couple and the wedding party to arrive, he noticed something…..  Blue skies !  He couldn’t believe it !  Mother Nature had come thru !  And once the wedding party arrived along with Nicu and Marina, Roger wasted no time rounding the group down on to the sand, better not to push their luck, not knowing how long the blue skies would last…….  And no sooner did the wedding party make their way down to the water than Mother Nature played it’s last card…….  Just as Roger was starting the ceremony, the entire wedding party started shouting……….just directly behind them, maybe 50 yards off shore……..were two Pacific Gray whales !  It’s migration season and these two love birds (whales) stopped and stayed for the wedding !  It was amazing !  All the while during the ceremony, these two whales kept rising out of the water to watch the proceedings !  It was like they were giving a sign that all was well with this wedding.  You could not ask for a better sign.

Easter Bunny shows up at wedding at Point Dume in Malibu Beach Wedding

Joey and Gustavo wanted to get married on Easter Sunday so i dad to bring along my bunny head.

I didn’t wear it for the ceremony only for pictures after. It made for a great laugh.

They chose Point Dume in Malibu. I was all ready to walk out onto the beach when their friend pointed to the top of the cliffs and said the wedding is up there. I was not ready for that as I was ready to be barefoot on the beach. SO I put on my dress shoes and trecked up the hill.

It was worth every gasp when i got up there. The view is amazing

They decorated the area with wild flowers and draping and the grooms walked down the gauntlet of friends to the end of the path to where I was waiting.

They did a beautiful Sand Ceremony blending their lives together.

After it was all done they had a big kiss and got tons of pictures with their family and friends.
