The Bride That Can Do It All!

Image

Wesley was honored to get to officiate Steve and Suzie’s Beach Wedding at Little Corona Del Mar. They initially had planned their baby shower the day¬†before, and since all the family was in town, they thought why not knock it all out in one weekend! It was a wonderfully intimate ceremony with their close friends and family. They had gorgeous jagged rocks behind them during the ceremony as the water cascaded off of them. Suzie and Steve have been together for over 13 years, so they were eager to finally tie the knot. Steve got emotional during the repeating of the vows, which in turn made everyone cry. It was such an incredible love that they shared and was also supported by the love of their friends and family. And afterward, they even got Grandpa to climb up to the top of a giant boulder for pictures!

I look forwarding to celebrating with you!

Rev. Gary had three weddings, one at the Rose Garden in Westminster, one at the beach at Little Corona del Mar, and one on a private boat in Balboa Bay

Image

It was my honor to lead the celebration of holy marriage for Mara Patricia Castaneda and Vincent Richard Paul on the evening of November 4 at the Rose Garden facility in Westminster. ¬†Great Officiants of Long Beach suggested my ministry for their big day, and then we got acquainted and planned via telephone, emails and meeting in my Costa Mesa home. ¬† I am, by the way, Rev.Dr. Gary Barmore, pastor emeritus of Fairview Community Church and retired professor of Orange Coast College … but I answer to Gary or Captain or Dude or Pastor or Prof or her husband. ¬†Vincent and Mara turned the courtyard into a beautiful chapel, and Vincent, to his credit and to the delight of Mara’s family, said the ring vows not only in English but uttered his beginning Spanish in their united statements: ¬†“Con este anillo, ¬†Yo prometo mi amour, ¬†Y compartir mi vida.” ¬† ¬†Then, during the time I turned the couple toward the guests for affirmations all around, I said that ¬†“most of you never would have met in this world had not these two brought their lives together, and now you are all related! ¬†So at the reception, get to know each person here. Ustedes son una familia para este familia!”

Two winter-holiday “Little Corona del Mar” wedding ceremonies, conducted by Rev.Dr. Gary Barmore, were blessed by glorious setting and perfect weather. ¬† On Christmas Eve Day Gary Schenk and Rose-Anna Romero pledged their eternal love in the cathedral-cove while gentle waves ebbed in and out before them. ¬†Then at first light of the first day of the New Year, joined by fifteen early-rising friends, ¬†Dennis Prat and Gloria Morgan stood on the sand where the stream enters the sea, and expressed their love, their faith and their joy — joy not only for their marriage, but joy for finding the ring which fell into the sand during the best man’s handoff. ¬† Both couples ¬†expressed gratitude to Great Officiants of Long Beach for providing Rev. Barmore’s personal and dynamic ministry for their beautiful, wonderful day!

Jerry Palazzo and Debora Acciarito, finding one another in mid-life as the perfect marriage match, wanted so much to have a beautiful wedding to match their love. ¬†But venues and extras were way beyond a responsible budget for this track coach and language teacher. ¬†Instead, they crafted an amazingly beautiful and romantic wedding day with just two phone calls: ¬†(1) to a dear friend whose home on Balboa Island includes a Duffy Electric Boat, and (2) to Great Officiants of Long Beach, who put them in touch with Rev.Dr. Gary Barmore. ¬†Meeting with Gary, a touching and joyous ceremony was crafted, and on February 4 (in the morning before Super Bowl kickoff) ten friends boarded Captain Chris Price’s sparkling vessel and in perfect weather motored to a beautiful cove for the nuptials. ¬† As Gary pronounced them husband and wife, a jet passing over provided an exclamation point to the declaration — as if it too was planned. After dropping off the minister and signed license, the merry crew crossed the bay to dock and celebrate at a Newport restaurant. ¬†All the money in the world could not have provided Debora and Jerry more satisfaction and joy than this one that launched their married life together.Share This Post:

A beach wedding in Santa Monica, Little Corona del Mar, and a Wedding at Orange Hill Restaurant by Suvin

Image

Jaronica and Darryl came from Georgia and Missouri, respectively, to have their ceremony in the sands of Santa Monica

It was a beautiful day, and they got married at the perfect time, catching the golden hour for the sunset. The entire family surrounded them on the beach, and surrounded them in love. They had a Christian ceremony, sprinkled with a little bit of humor here and there. They did not want to write their own vows, but still wanted a personal touch. I advised them to share some words with each other right before the conclusion of the ceremony. Nothing formal, nothing written down, just a few loving words straight from the heart.

We delivered the marriage license also! This saved them a trip down to the county clerk’s office since they were in town just for a few days.

Congrats to the happy couple.

On a warm July day, Hala and Nicholas tied the knot overlooking the amazing view provided by the Orange Hill Restaurant.. I met this awesome couple at the Orange Hill Bridal Show, and they wanted to incorporate some Arabic traditions with some Christian elements. They did not want it too heavy handed though. I recommended we have a reading from Rumi and 1st Corinthians. A quick wedding prayer at the end of the ceremony tied everything nicely together.

Although it was a warm day, everyone enjoyed. They had a large wedding party complete with friends and family, and look at that beautiful walkway!

Brittany and Vincent had an intimate ceremony at Little Corona Del Mar, one of my favorite beaches.

They had a trying situation, Brittany’s mother has stage 4 bone cancer. In situations like this, I was happy to donate my services to this loving couple. They traveled all the way from Vegas so mom could experience this moment. They were able to have the ceremony of their dreams in front of their family on this gorgeous summer evening. They were able to catch the sunset as well.

I performed a Christian based ceremony with a sand blending. Sand Ceremonies are such a cool addition to beach ceremonies. It really captures the vibe of the moment, and it is a perfect expression of two people’s lives joining into one.Share This Post:

The Perfect Beachside Wedding‚Ķ‚Ķ…

Image

Roger had the honor of marrying Elliott & Stephanie this last weekend on the beach at Little Corona Del Mar in Newport Beach.  Alex and Cameron flew out from Arizona so they could have that perfect beach wedding.  Just a small, intimate group, maybe 15 people.  Roger and the group walked down to a quiet end of the beach by the rocks and just as the tide was coming in, they had the perfect wedding ceremony.  It was a beautiful day and a wonderful wedding.Share This Post:

A long time dream comes true for Philip and Marti Officiant Lisa Smith of Great Officiants had the honor and pleasure of marrying this loving couple on beautiful Corona Del Mar Beach, California. Saturday, June 3, 2017 ¬†Philip and Marti came from Indiana to fulfill their dream wedding on the beach of the Pacific ocean at last. It took a lot of phone meetings and careful planning to make it all happen Marti and Philip were joined by their son daughter family and close friends. ¬†As we all gathered for the ceremony it seemed that time stood still for this precious moment in time. The look on Philip and Marti’s faces said it all!
They composed their own heart felt vows to one another there was not a dry eye on the beach it was so romantic just magical.  They included a colorful Sand Ceremony and poem.  As Philip and Marti continued filling their sand container All of us bowed our heads for a special marriage blessing and to wish Philip and Marti Love Health and Happiness for their lifetime and forever more. Dream Granted  Bravo!!

A Beach Ceremony at Little Corona Del Mar in Newport Beach by Rev. Gary

Image

If you live in Minnesota and wish to get married in the most beautiful spot on earth, you come to “Little Corona del Mar” in Newport Beach, and that’s just what Great Officiants recommended to Anna King and Greg Davis. They and their three “blended” children came to SoCal for theme-park exploration and, most importantly, their sacred vows of marriage. ¬†Rev. Dr. Gary Barmore, also recommended by Great Officiants, brought the blessing of God upon their love and commitment to life together, in a natural cathedral of spectacular rock formations, crashing surf and blue sky. ¬†Following the Sunday morning ceremony, they asked Pastor Barmore, as a long-time local, if it would rain on their afternoon of activities before heading back home on Monday. ¬†He said, “no rain” — ¬†and thereby will always be regarded by Greg and Anna as a wonderful minister but a poor prognosticator of weather, given the rainy day it became.

I had the absolute pleasure of marrying a wonderful couple: Marcus & Inna Hobson. They wanted to be married in one of the most beautiful & picturesque place in Southern California. I had to refer to the “Master” of Beach Weddings…Alan Katz. It was a gorgeous day at Little Corona beach in Del Mar. The Ceremony was very intimate with a photographer, Bride & Groom & Jamie Jacobs (me the Officiant)! We located a quaint little spot & had a very meaningful & Loving Ceremony…just before the tide rolled in! I know this…these two will be together forever & have some amazing memories from that day!
