Surf and Sand in Laguna Beach

Kandice Jackson and Radley Soni, residing in Texas but with family on both coasts decided on a most beautiful venue for their August 17 wedding — Surf and Sand Hotel in Laguna Beach.  Planners Amanda and Julie made sure that their long-distance dreams came true, and Great Officiants of Long Beach recommended Rev. Dr. Gary Barmore to plan with them and preside over the ceremony.  They “met” with Gary over the phone and knew that all would be well and wonderful.  One memory they shared with Gary, asking him to make mention in the ceremony, involved a couple they met at a Mexican resort.

After taking photos of Radley and Kandice’s engagement event, the gentleman said, “We’ve been married just two years, so I’m no expert, but let me offer this advice:  Always remember that you now play for the same team.”  Good words for all marriages and families!

Great Officiant Anthony did a 2fer in the OC this weekend

20140322 MIchelle & Michael

So, Saturday Anthony was honored to be Officiant of record for both of these fine, small weddings!

First, Michelle and Michael (Mike) in Newport Beach. What was supposed to be a 10 +/- guest event turned into 40+!! Moved from Laguna to Newport 2X!! Finally landing on the beach just off the boardwalk, we stormed the beach and formed a big semi-circle. Opened with a prayer from Michell’s father. Included a sand pouring with the Michell’s children, Andrew, Casandra and Chrissy joining in.

Then, down to Oceanside!!

20140322 Erika Ashley AVY

Another on the beach ceremony with Erika and Ashley – and their one friend/witness Noah!

Timed it so kiss happened as the sun touched the water. (watched for the green flash but no one saw it) This was a short, basic ceremony but the energy, emotion from these two ladies was amazing!

Staying in small bungalow right on the edge of the beach, rocks, they had an a amazing view of the rest of the sunset while enjoying their first married toast! (It got cold quick and windy – got back to room fast after the kiss!)Share This Post:

Crescent Bay Park in Laguna is a perfect place for a small wedding.

Having performed ceremonies up and down the coast in Southern California I have to say one of my favorite overlooks is Crescent Bay Park in Laguna.

Surrounded by water on three sides it is a picturesque place for couples tonight.

When we book a couple there we take care of all the arrangements the permits the insurance the decorations and of course the Officiant. We have even created a lshear cover to cover the amphitheater.

Today was just a simple ceremony with a lovely couple who had no decorations except for the bouquet and boutonniere.

But it still was beautiful. How could it not be the surroundings.
