Kandice Jackson and Radley Soni, residing in Texas but with family on both coasts decided on a most beautiful venue for their August 17 wedding — Surf and Sand Hotel in Laguna Beach. Planners Amanda and Julie made sure that their long-distance dreams came true, and Great Officiants of Long Beach recommended Rev. Dr. Gary Barmore to plan with them and preside over the ceremony. They “met” with Gary over the phone and knew that all would be well and wonderful. One memory they shared with Gary, asking him to make mention in the ceremony, involved a couple they met at a Mexican resort.
After taking photos of Radley and Kandice’s engagement event, the gentleman said, “We’ve been married just two years, so I’m no expert, but let me offer this advice: Always remember that you now play for the same team.” Good words for all marriages and families!
Roger had the honor of marrying Greg & Shannon this last Saturday at the always so beautiful Crescent Bay Park in Laguna Beach. It was an intimate ceremony and the only bridal party was her two young girls. Well during the first part of the ceremony, Roger noticed that the two girls who were standing over to the side were very emotional and both were crying (with happiness) inconsolably. So Roger made an audible and invited the two girls to join Greg & Shannon and totally off the cuff, explained that this wedding is the joining of the entire family and the girls should be right next to them as well. There was not a dry eye in the house….. It was a beautiful moment and a beautiful wedding.
Congratulations to Asssumpta Batac & Hin Chau on their Saturday, September 16, 2017 wedding at the Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel in Buena Park, CA. It was a beautiful day as their 250+ guests began arriving at the hotel. The ceremony was conducted in the courtyard, as was the cocktail hour, followed by the reception in the ballroom on the upper level. Music was supplied by a wonderful string duo. The ceremony began as scheduled with the groom escorted by his parents, followed by the bridal party, then the bride, who was met at the beginning of the aisle by her parents and escorted to the alter and presented to her “soon to be” husband. The ceremony included a Unity Candle and a Rose presentation to their mothers, as well as a special scripture reading and a “short” sermon at the request of the couple. My very best to Assumpta and Hin as they begin their life-long journey together!
Congratulations to Hiromi Sugano and Alvin Cara on their Saturday, September 23, 2017 wedding at the Tivoli Terrace in Laguna Beach, CA. It was a simple, yet “Classy” ceremony with about 100 guests and lasted about fifteen minutes. Ceremony music was provided by a pianist, which added elegance. The brides entrance up the stairs with her dad was “royal.” The couple greeted their guests for some pictures and the cake cutting immediately after the ceremony. Afterwhich the new Mr. & Mrs. and bridal party returned for pictures while guests enjoyed cocktails, which was followed by the reception on the terrace level.
Congratulations to Griselda Salazar & Mario Garcia on their Friday, September 29, 2017 wedding at the Mountain Meadows Golf Club in Pomona, CA. It was a beautiful day for a wedding. Everything was perfect, and went as planned! The coordinator had everything down to a science. Even the music was queued perfectly (supplied by “DJ” Officiant Frank), which included 30 minutes of pre-ceremony soft music while the guests were arriving and being seated. Their ceremony also included their Personal Vows, the Wine Cup and Rose presentation to their mothers. Some “teary-eyed” moments from the heart! My very best to the happy couple.Share This Post: Follow Us On Social Media:
The Mission Inn in Riverside is such a cool venue. It has an almost medieval feel to it! The couple was so happy, they wanted something short and sweet, with some epic references. It was a picture perfect day for a summer wedding in Riverside. The Bride walked down the aisle to heavy metal. They looked into each other’s eyes with love the whole ceremony. Congrats to the happy couple!
Melanie and Jonathan are such an awesome couple. On a beautiful August day, they tied the knot at Waterfront Park in San Diego. San Diego is such a cool town, I love doing ceremonies down there. Waterfront Park is a beautiful location near downtown San Diego. It is almost secretly nestled near the water and downtown.
They had a beautiful Christian based ceremony. I performed it complete with some bible readings, and some jokes to make it light hearted. The couple wrote their own vows as well, which added such a nice personal touch.
Congrats to the happy couple!
Antoinette and Jaime are such a loving couple! They had their ceremony at the picturesque Surf and Sand in Laguna Beach. It was a warm August Saturday, but there was a nice breeze to balance out the heat. As you can see from the view, Surf and Sand is one of our favorite places! Look at that amazing view of the ocean.
They had an amazing love story. Almost in Brady Bunch fashion, they met because of their kids! The older kids went to the same school and knew each other, and set their parents up! Their children served as their wedding party, and I made a special mention at the beginning of the ceremony about how this all happened because of the kids and had everyone give them a round of applause.
A beautiful day for a beautiful couple, congrats!Share This Post: Follow Us On Social Media:
Ever since they met, Mark Jimenez and Lisa Tone have celebrated life and love with gusto. They value family and friends as the best blessing from above. So their wedding ceremony at the Summit House in Fullerton featured all that and more! They selected Rev. Dr. Gary Barmore of Great Officiants to plan with them and carry out a wedding of romance, commitment, faith and joy. The guests were particularly pleased to be asked for their affirmation of the couple, and they did just that with enthusiasm. Following personal “love letters” expressed to one another Lisa and Mark recited vows led by Rev. Gary. As they repeated each phrase, eyes locked on eyes, Mark and Lisa drifted physically closer and closer to each other, until at about six inches, Gary interjected, “Can’t kiss ’til vows are finished.” The couple and the crowd loved the moment … and even more the moment when they did embrace and engage in the holy kiss of marriage.
Marco Corona and Aleena Huber, very much in love, planned meticulously for their wedding day. Most importantly they (1) reserved the ballroom and outdoor chapel at Orange Hill Restaurant, and (2) Through Great Officiants booked Rev.Dr. Gary Barmore to lead the marriage ceremony. They liked Gary’s open-minded Christian faith, his vocal energy, and the fact that they could meet with him at his home for planning and getting better acquainted. Then came the swift wild-fires in and around Tustin and Orange, bringing fear and devastation to so many. Rev. Gary contacted Marco and asked if they needed his help in finding another wedding venue. Is Orange Hill Restaurant still standing? Fortunately although the grounds were threatened and the staff prepared for evacuation, this classic site for dining and parties was spared. And by October 21 at 5pm, most of the smokey haze was gone and the sunset was beautiful. While our hearts went out to all those who suffered loss in the fires, it all worked out wonderfully for Aleena and Marco and their guests. The couple’s handsome beauty, plus their education and determination, mixed with a willingness to listen and consider the other’s perspective bodes really well for their life together in marriage.
Amy Kayl and Corey Madsen first met 26 years ago, but at age nineteen she declined his proposal of marriage. Going their separate ways, each remembered the power of their attraction and wondered what happened to their long-lost beloved. By means of the modern-day cupid — Facebook — they reconnected. Love’s fire blazed anew, and next to the baggage claim at John Wayne Airport, Corey dropped to one knee and popped the question — followed by Amy’s excited “yes!” Their favorite Bible verse, of course, is “Love Never Fails.” So for this greatest love, this couple selected the “Greatest Wedding” from Alan Katz’ Great Officiants. Alan’s crew secured the spectacular Gazebo in Laguna Beach, had it beautifully decorated, and suggested Rev.Dr. Gary Barmore to plan with them and conduct the ceremony. After meeting with Gary, Corey and Amy knew all the perfect pieces were in place. When the ceremony began at 2pm October 27, their was a mystical cloud-bank over the ocean, and then when the vows were being exchanged, the fog lifted and glorious sunshine sparkled the water and lit up the wedding site. For this dear couple and their guests, it was truly “The Greatest.”Share This Post: Follow Us On Social Media:
Congratulations to Shamrock Clifton & David Stankunas on their July 15, 2017 wedding at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, CA. Although it was a hot day, the temperature was perfect at the ranch. There was about 160 guests in attendance. The reception took place in the beautiful Redwood Room with a continuous cascading waterfall behind the bridal table. The couple also included an abridged version of the “Chinese Tea Ceremony’ to honor their parents. (Shamrock’s parents and, as she put it, David’s half Asian-ness). The ceremony started on time — the DJ, photographer, and coordinator all did an exceptional job. My best to the new couple!
Congratulations to Tatiana Lupu & Ryan Cacacho on their Sunday, July 23, 2017 wedding at the Hotel Laguna in Laguna Beach, CA. It was a small beach wedding with about 25 guests. The ceremony was simple with no Brides’ Maids or Groomsmen. Tatiana walked down the aisle unescorted and was met by Ryan and their son. They included the Picture Frame Sand Ceremony and a special reading in their Non-Denominational ceremony. Photos were taken on the beach after the ceremony followed by cocktails and a dinner reception
Congratulations to Marie Ndoutoume & Adrian Dorsey on their Saturday, July 29, 2017 wedding at a private residence in Hacienda Heights, CA. It was a beautiful backyard spiritual ceremony under a tent at a private home with close family and friends for this out-of-state couple. It was a simple ceremony with no “add-ons,” just spiritual The weather was a little warm but no competition for the feeling of warmth and love radiating from their family and guests! My best to the happy couple!Share This Post: Follow Us On Social Media:
The Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills is an amazing place to marry. It can hold hundred’s of guests for an over the top, giant wedding…….. But in Mario & Laura’s wedding, it was no more than 10 people. Just an Intimate, family ceremony. So why did they choose Greystone ? It was a place that Mario would take Laura when they first started dating and they wanted to marry where it all began. And Roger got to be part of this amazing event.
Roger was fortunate enough to be part of a picture perfect wedding this last weekend. He married Jaime & Kara, a wonderful couple truly in love. The wedding was held at the Eagles Nest Country Club in Cypress. The only concern was the weather forecast……. It was predicting triple digit heat and everyone was worried that this outdoor wedding was going to be ruined……. Well, it was either Roger’s wishing, or mother nature wanting to help, but the temperature at the venue was a comfortable level and everyone had a great time. Not too hot at all !!
If you had to pick the perfect place for a sunset wedding, the Laguna Beach Surf & Sand Hotel up on the terrace would be in the top ten…….That is where Roger had the pleasure of marrying Darryl and Alexandria this last weekend. And to top off this amazing wedding venue, Darryl & Alexandra told Roger that their guests were coming to party and Roger needed to bring the fun, funny and romance to their ceremony ! Boy did they come to the right guy ! Not only did Roger have the guests in stitches, but many, many heartfelt moments throughout the ceremony. It was a perfect wedding !Share This Post: Follow Us On Social Media:
