Check out these three awesome weddings at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, Hotel Laguna in Laguna Beach, and a private home in Hacienda Heights

Congratulations to Shamrock Clifton & David Stankunas on their July 15, 2017 wedding at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, CA.  Although it was a hot day, the temperature was perfect at the ranch.  There was about 160 guests in attendance.  The reception took place in the beautiful Redwood Room with a continuous cascading waterfall behind the bridal table.  The couple also included an abridged version of the “Chinese Tea Ceremony’ to honor their parents.  (Shamrock’s parents and, as she put it, David’s half Asian-ness).  The ceremony started on time — the DJ, photographer, and coordinator all did an exceptional job.  My best to the new couple!

Congratulations to Tatiana Lupu & Ryan Cacacho on their Sunday, July 23, 2017 wedding at the Hotel Laguna in Laguna Beach, CA.  It was a small beach wedding with about 25 guests.  The ceremony was simple with no Brides’ Maids or Groomsmen.  Tatiana walked down the aisle unescorted and was met by Ryan and their son.  They included the Picture Frame Sand Ceremony and a special reading in their Non-Denominational ceremony.  Photos were taken on the beach after the ceremony followed by cocktails and a dinner reception

Congratulations to Marie Ndoutoume & Adrian Dorsey on their Saturday, July 29, 2017 wedding at a private residence in Hacienda Heights, CA.  It was a beautiful backyard spiritual ceremony under a tent at a private home with close family and friends for this out-of-state couple.  It was a simple ceremony with  no “add-ons,”  just spiritual The weather was a little warm but no competition for the feeling of warmth and love radiating from their family and guests!  My best to the happy couple!

This is Andrew and Christina a really cool couple… Their wedding was in Garden Grove on July 1, 2017 at 3 PM in the backyard of a beautiful house

This is Andrew and Christina a really cool couple… Their wedding was in Garden Grove on July 1, 2017 at 3 PM in the backyard of a beautiful house with white linens, blue overlays and Silver tone’s… This couple when I first met them was so chill and so in love that it resonated throughout the Starbucks… On the wedding day Andrew was the coolest groom ever; I mean so relaxed and comfortable and at ease, looking forward to seeing his bride come down that aisle in her dress that he had never seen before… Christina was full of energy and love and smiling so beautiful in a white wedding dress that accented her smile, her beautiful brown eyes and gorgeous hair… She looked awesome… At the altar they join each other in holy matrimony by incorporating the wine ceremony, communion and the sand ceremony.  You felt the love that they resonated with their guests, family and friends… This was a great wedding from Great Officiants.

Congratulations to Maira Barajas & Salbador Morales on their Baby Shower turned Surprise Wedding at their home in San Bernardino, CA on Saturday, May 27, 2017

Congratulations to Maira Barajas & Salbador Morales on their Baby Shower turned Surprise Wedding at their home in San Bernardino, CA on Saturday, May 27, 2017.  It started off as a Baby Shower at around 4pm with guests doing what they do at a baby shower.  When I arrive arrived 6:30, I mingled for a few minutes then asked for everyone’s attention, and with the groom at my side, welcomed everyone to what was now a wedding ceremony.  After everyone stopped applauding and crying, the music started and Maira entered from the house with her escorts and we began the traditional ceremony.  Guests remained standing, taking pictures throughout — a little less formal than usual.  At the conclusion, the newlyweds continued mingling with their guests and the party continued!

Last weekend was busy with two intimate and unique ceremonies that I will always remember.

Redondo Beach was the setting for the wedding of Karl and Cathy Aldridge. Close friends and family gathered at the Portofino hotel. The most touching moments aside from the love the ride and grok clearly displayed was the affection their wedding party had for them.

Congrats Karl and Cathy!

A small cadre of family and friends gathered at the home of the neighbor of wedding couple Doug and Truc for a traditional Vietnamese Tea Ceremony that preceded the vow exchange.

The bride and groom presented gifts to each other’s parents who then blessed the union with the receipt of tea and wine.

Susana Valdez and Joseph Cannavo flew west from their home in New England so that their wedding could be held in her sister’s home in Whittier

Susana Valdez and Joseph Cannavo flew west from their home and careers in New England so that their wedding could be held in California among family and long-time friends.  Her sister’s home in Whittier converted beautifully into a chapel of lights, and the Rev. Dr. Gary Barmore of Great Officiants led the ceremony as he always does — without notes and speaking directly to the couple and guests, communicating just what the bride and groom requested.   Planned cross-country via email and telephone, the couple appreciated that the ceremony perfectly reflected their vision, and the couple and their guests were inspired by Gary’s words of faith, joy and love.  Comments after the wedding centered on how amazing that such a simple setting could be so blessed with dignity and delight.  Coming from out of town, Susana and “Jay” were so appreciative of Great Officiants’ service of securing the wedding license.  They are returning to the east coast happily married and rich in memories.

Intimate Gathering through the Power of FaceTime.

John and Curtis are not about having a big shindig when it comes to their wedding. In fact, all they wanted were a few friends, and John’s parents watched the ceremony with FaceTime over an iPhone. Their lovely little daughter Evelyn came down the aisle with flowers, eventually tearing up saying that she was shy. It was a small, loving group of people but the tenderness they  felt toward this couple filled their entire home. And what a gorgeous home it was!

Lisa had the pleasure of marrying Miguel and Leonor November 26,2016 at their home

No wind, no rain, no ring could stop this couple from getting married on this wet lovely Saturday afternoon all the guest arrived to honor and witness the marriage of Miguel and Leonor at their home in Carson CA. Thanks to the quick action of some great men who scrambled together and were able to prevent the rain from coming into the patio (I forget to say it was outdoors) We had a lot of laughs as we continued the ceremony I asked ” Who has the rings?”  As we found out no one did, we waited a few minutes and the best man went to get them from safe keeping. Our joy , conversation and laughter was about to explode with anticipation!
As we concluded the heartfelt ceremony! Everyone cheered and wished them well. As I pronounced them husband and wife. The evening was celebrated with delicious Mexican food Beverages and of course wedding cake ! Many years of love and success to Mr & Mrs Miguel Lara
