Wesley had three awesome weddings at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs, Calamigos Equestrian in Burbank, and the San Dimas Golf Course

Tim and Stephanie were wed at the infamous Ace Hotel in Palm Spriings. Tim had friends and family fly in from England, while Stephanie had all her friends and family fly in from New York, where this couple met. Needless to say, it was a classy affair. New York is where they both discovered and realized their love for Habañero Margaritas. It’s also the city they love, and where they reside. The whole event was stylish, and even a bit Hipster-ish. All they needed was a live performance from the Killers.

Kaleena and Mike were united at the beautiful and unique Calamigos Equestrian in Burbank. Even though they were young, they have  devoted and developed their relationship over 5 years of being together. They also both have a love and respect for each other’s cultures, as we had a Lasso Ceremony celebrated in Mexican Culture for Kaleena, and an Irish prayer at the end for Mike. It was a beautiful union of two souls!

So Janette and Eddie, aka Her Worshipfulness and the Scoundrel, love Star Wars. So we definitely mentioned the Death Star destroying anyone who objected to their wedding. They also wanted their two cats, Wilson and Dexter to feel included so we did a short Family Unity ceremony with them as well! Janette and Eddie love each other so much, and could just be themselves with each other. It also showed in the way Eddie proposed to her. They took a helicopter to the top of a Glacier in Alaska! It was lighthearted and fun at the San Dimas Golf Course, and I am sure they will not witness such a unique ceremony for some time to come!

A Golf Course Resort Wedding for Great Officiant Greg!

Image

20160515_174201
Great Officiant Greg had the honor and pleasure of marrying Robert and Rita Bont at the beautiful SkyLinks Golf Course on Sunday, May 15, 2016.  The course and club, located “across the street” from the Long Beach Airport (Known as Daughtery Field in the Donald Douglas days and named a City of Long Beach Cultural Heritage Landmark in 1990), made it easy for the bride’s grandfather to fly from Istanbul, Turkey for the wedding!  What a great joy!

The Christian Ceremony, customized by Great Officiant Greg was religious but fun and filled with happiness.  The outdoor setting with the gorgeous waterfall and acres and acres of green links of the course makes a wonderful site for a wedding. Of course, the happy couple and the wedding party on golf carts after the ceremony left for a “secret” spot for pictures.

Many thanks to Sidney DeLancy, the coordinator at SkyLinks and the sound coordinator DJ Ceaser Flores for their help and assistance with the beautiful wedding.

All of us at Great Officiants wish Rita and Robert all the joy, love and happiness in their married life together!

As You Wish

The Diamond Bar Golf Course was beautifully decorated on May 20, for the wedding of Joe Gotti and Leah DeMarco.  But nobody except the bride and groom themselves expected the ceremony to be led by the Impressive Clergyman from “The Princess Bride.” In fact, references to the movie embellished the whole ceremony where parallels arose in telling the guests this adventurous couple’s own unique love story, evoking much laughter but also bringing many poignant tears. The couple even invented a new Unity ceremony, the Unity Cocktail, which they shared immediately before the vows.

One Classy Wedding

Michael & Erika got married at the always beautiful Coyote Hills Golf Course this last weekend.  It was a perfect ceremony from beginning to end, especially when Michael surprised Laura by dipping her for the final kiss !  Everyone loved the wedding and Roger received many kudos from the large, fun loving crowd.

Erika also had some kind words for Roger:

“Roger, thank you so much! We received so many compliments from our guests as well. We really loved it. You made it so special! “

Another wonderful ceremony at the La Mirada Golf Course

Image

Rain was the order of the day as Debi Griego and Raymond Montanez tied the knot at the La Mirada Golf Course.  But no one seemed to notice the rain, as the couple only had eyes for each other.  Besides, I don’t think the heavy stuff is going to come down for some time yet.

The rain held off long enough for April Zimmerman and Ken Paquin to dry up their gorgeous backyard, and promise sunny days to each other for the rest of their lives, in a beautiful ceremony largely written by April herself  Immediately after the ceremony the only thing flowing were drinks at the bar.

Superman Wedding Ceremony takes off in Fountain Valley

FullSizeRender

When Luella and Kevin and I were designing their ceremony at the David Baker Memorial Golf Course, we came up with a lot of different ideas. We were doing a full Filipino Ceremony, with cord, veil, and coins and since they were gamers and loved comic books, I suggested Superman! They loved it and so did I! I began the ceremony dressed in a nice gray suit but with a hidden surprise under it. The ceremony went off as normal until after the ring exchange. I then took off my jacket and handed it to the best man and said how hot it was up there. Then I said wow, its SUPER hot, to which I ripped off my shirt, with buttons flying, to reveal the big S on my chest! I then dropped trou to reveal the rest of my outfit and cape. I then finished the ceremony with a wine box and love letter add in, then shared these words with them on how to use their super powers:

Superman – learn what each other’s kryptonite is and avoid using it

Spiderman – use your spidey senses to know when thing are going sideways

Wonder woman – Know that she will always have special powers and never underestimate her.

Hulk – try not to make each other mad. You wouldn’t like you partner when they are mad

Captain America – fight for what’s right in your relationship

Iron man – power up your heart every day

Wolverine – know when to evolve and when to retract your nails

Thor – Know when to put the hammer down

Everybody was completely surprised and loved every minute of it. We wish them a super life together and hope that on their honeymoon that he was not faster than a speeding bullet! Lol.

Last Minute Changes for a Nervous Bride and an Emotional Groom……..

Roger married Darryl & Maria this last Saturday at the always beautiful Los Verdes Golf Course. Things got a little crazy the night before the wedding when suddenly the layout and schedule for the ceremony took an about face on how and when things were to happen. But fortunately, the DJ, the coordinator and Roger all pulled together and made it happen! The ceremony went off without a hitch! Plus, this couple really touched Roger. The two times Roger met with them, the bride Maria was very bubbly and excited and the groom Darryl was quiet and reserved. But as soon as the ceremony started, it was Darryl the groom who already had tears in his eyes and continued through out the entire ceremony. It was the most beautiful sight. This tall, man’s man, overwhelmed with emotion standing in front of the love of his life. And Roger got to be part of it. This is why we do this.

Marie was really happy with the wedding too!! She had these kind words to say…

"Roger thank you so much for everything! The ceremony was unforgettable and truly the best part. Thank you for making it such a special moment for us! And thank you for those pictures (Roger always takes pictures of the witnesses signing the license and sends them to the bride & groom) they are ones we will cherish forever as well as the amazing words."
