Congratulations to Asssumpta Batac & Hin Chau on their Saturday, September 16, 2017 wedding at the Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel in Buena Park, CA.  It was a beautiful day as their 250+ guests began arriving at the hotel.  The ceremony was conducted in the courtyard, as was the cocktail hour, followed by the reception in the ballroom on the upper level.  Music was supplied by a wonderful string duo.  The ceremony began as scheduled with the groom escorted by his parents, followed by the bridal party, then the bride, who was met at the beginning of the aisle by her parents and escorted to the alter and presented to her “soon to be” husband.  The ceremony included a Unity Candle and a Rose presentation to their mothers, as well as a special scripture reading and a “short” sermon at the request of the couple.  My very best to Assumpta and Hin as they begin their life-long journey together!

Congratulations to Hiromi Sugano and Alvin Cara on their Saturday, September 23, 2017 wedding at the Tivoli Terrace in Laguna Beach, CA.  It was a simple, yet “Classy” ceremony with about 100 guests and lasted about fifteen minutes.  Ceremony music was provided by a pianist, which added elegance.  The brides entrance up the stairs with her dad was “royal.”  The couple greeted their guests for some pictures and the cake cutting immediately after the ceremony.  Afterwhich the new Mr. & Mrs. and bridal party returned for pictures while guests enjoyed cocktails, which was followed by the reception on the terrace level.

Congratulations to Griselda Salazar & Mario Garcia on their Friday, September 29, 2017 wedding at the Mountain Meadows Golf Club in Pomona, CA.  It was a beautiful day for a wedding.  Everything was perfect, and went as planned!  The coordinator had everything down to a science.  Even the music was queued perfectly (supplied by “DJ” Officiant Frank), which included 30 minutes of pre-ceremony soft music while the guests were arriving and being seated.  Their ceremony also included their Personal Vows, the Wine Cup and Rose presentation to their mothers.  Some “teary-eyed” moments from the heart!  My very best to the happy couple.

Roger has three weddings, one at Coyote Hills Golf Club in Fullerton, at the Double Tree in San Pedro, and at the Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach

Image

Roger had the pleasure of marrying Jason & Katie this last weekend at the always spot on and professional Coyote Hills Golf Club in Fullerton.  It was rather fitting that Jason and Katie marry at a golf course because that met in golf college and both make their living in the world of golf !  They are a truly amazing couple who couldn’t wait for this day to happen.  They both laughed and cried during the ceremony and it was a wonderful day.  And Jason and Katie added something most unusual to their ceremony, something Roger had never heard of…. It’s called the Lovelock Tree Of Life Ceremony.  It’s presented as this beautiful framed tree that holds places for “lovelocks” that represent major moments in their lives.  The locks have no keys and cannot be opened.  Their first lock was presented by both parents and was locked onto the Tree Of Live right then and there during the ceremony.  It was a beautiful touch to a perfect wedding.

Roger had the pleasure of marrying Robert & Christine this last weekend at the Double Tree Hotel in San Pedro.  A beautiful small hotel just off the water.  And Rob & Christine, although only having a handful of guests, wanted it memorable.  Roger told them not to worry, that is the only kind of wedding he does.  And Roger had a lot of fun with this one.  You see, Robert is with the CIA and Roger asked him if he should mention that or not and Robert said he had nothing to hide ha !  So Roger pulled out the stops and gave the a fun-filled wedding with lots of laughs and tears !  It truly was a perfect, intimate wedding.  And Roger passed the background check too !

Roger had his comedy skills tested that last weekend when he had the very fun job of officiating the wedding for Dennis & Krystyna at the Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach.  Now Roger knew from the first time he met with Dennis & Krystyna that Dennis was a joker…..big time !  And every time Dennis would throw out a joke at the planning meeting, Krystyna would just roll her eyes.   She was used to his comedy ways and expected no less of it at the wedding. And boy oh boy did he deliver !  All thru the ceremony Dennis had funny lines and comments, mostly only that Kyrstyna and Roger could hear, so both Krystyna and Roger had to keep their wits about them in order to get thru the wedding !  All in all, it was the perfect wedding and Dennis is missing his calling as a comedian !

The Safest Wedding Roger Has Ever Officiated

Image

Roger married a wonderful couple, Eric & Lindsay this last weekend at the always beautiful Los Verdes Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes.  It was a wonderful wedding and the ceremony was perfect !!  But Roger started this wedding off differently this particular time……Now, normally Roger doesn’t ask the question “who objects to this wedding today?”, but in this case, the groom Eric wanted it asked…..  You see the groom Eric and his ENTIRE batch of groomsmen were ALL Costa Mesa Police Officers !!  So when Roger asked “Is there anyone here that has just cause for this couple not to be united?”  Then at that point, Roger simply said “gentleman” and ALL the groomsmen and the groom pulled back their suit jackets to show that they were ALL carrying their service weapons !!  Funny, nobody objected !!  It got a great laugh and was the perfect start to a very funny and romantic wedding !!

Best Man Was The Hero And Saved the Wedding Day !

Image

Roger had the honor of marrying Tim & Allison this last weekend at the beautiful Mountain Meadows Golf Course in La Verne.  Now Tim & Allison are both really fun people, very care free and both were looking for a really crazy, fun filled wedding.  Neither of them expected to be emotional at all during the ceremony……….That is why when, all of a sudden Allison started to majorly tear up right at the start of the wedding, that the groom Tim & Roger were both caught off guard !  Here our poor Allison in full blown tears and no tissue to be found !!  That is until the the hero of the day, the best man Kyle stepped up and handed her his handkerchief and saved the day !!  If was fitting and proper that one of the boys in the bridal party would be the hero since they were all wearing action hero socks that even had capes on them !!  You can see the capes in the picture !!

Congratulations to Jenae Olivas and Ramon Alba on their May 20, 2017 wedding at the Los Amigos Golf Club in Downey, CA

Congratulations to Jenae Olivas and Ramon Alba on their May 20, 2017 wedding at the Los Amigos Golf Club in Downey, CA.  The weather cleared up and it was a great, sunny, warm day in southern California with about 140 guests attending the ceremony. The ceremony included the sand ceremony and a rose presentation to Jenae and Ramon’s mothers which, as usual, was a very touching moment.  They included personal vows, which is always a special moment, but Ramon’s life challenge with Jenae at his side brought a tear to everyone’s eyes.  The ceremony continued with laughter and seriousness ending with one happy MR. & MRS.!

The Ring Bearer Stole the show………

Image

Roger had the pleasure of officiating the wedding of Justin & Jhoanna at the Green River Golf Course in Corona this last weekend.  This was Roger’s first time there and hopefully won’t be the last.  The venue was beautiful and the staff were spot on !  Everything was planned and organized except for one wild card………. Their ring bearer was going to be their dog Square.  A beautiful boy who loves his mommy & daddy very much.  He was to walk down the aisle and deliver the rings to Roger.  Now generally when dogs are involved (and this happens quite a bit), someone walks the dog down the aisle on leash to make sure he or she does not get distracted while delivering the precious cargo.  And Roger being a giant dog lover himself (three English Bulldogs), is always on board for a dog being part of the action!  So in the wedding planning meeting (where Roger got to meet Square), Roger suggested the leash and Justin said “no worries, he will come straight to his dad”.  Well Roger had to defer to Justin who knew Square better than anyone and went with it.  So on the wedding day, after the bridal party had made their way up the very long aisle to the alter…..they unhook Square from his leash and this beautiful dog comes running full steam  DIRECTLY UP THE AISLE !!  He ran right up to his dad and sat down. Never once veering off track and his responsibility ! It was amazing !  Good boy !!!  And to top off this amazing dog’s performance, he sat down between Justin & Jhoanna thru the entire ceremony.  He was perfect and the wedding was perfect !!
