Roger had three weddings, one at Coyote Hills Country Club in Fullerton, Orcutt Ranch in West Hills, and Adobe Park in Mission Hills

Image

Roger had the honor of officiating the wedding of Edward and Roda this last weekend at ever so beautiful Coyote Hills Country Club in Fullerton. ¬†This wedding was amazingly touching. ¬†The groom Edward, a pretty stoic, mans man of a guy, had tears running down his face as Roda walked down the aisle. ¬†And to top it off, their fur-baby Cosmo was spot on walking down the aisle in his ‚Äútux‚ÄĚ. ¬†And Roger knocked it out of the park with a great ceremony. ¬†It was a perfect day !

Roger got to partake in a roller coaster of a ride this last weekend when he married a wonderful couple, Jose & Crystal at the Orcutt Ranch in West Hills. ¬†Roger has married couples there before and it‚Äôs a beautiful venue and always spot on‚Ķ‚Ķ.. But this particular Sunday, it seemed like Murphy’s Law was raising it‚Äôs ugly head and messing with the day! ¬†First of all, the ceremony was running behind by 45 minutes plus‚Ķ. And to top it off, there was no power to the ceremony site. ¬†Thank goodness for the amazing work of DJ Omid who literally saved the day and was able to jerry rig everything together to get power, thus sound and music for the ceremony. ¬†And the wedding planner Erica Kumala kept everybody on their toes trying to get things back on track. ¬†Plus the photographers had to double time because of losing light‚Ķ. And all this amazing work was happening all the while our couple knew nothing about it. ¬†And that is the way is should be. ¬†Roger was very proud to be part of such an amazing team of vendors who turned a hectic day into a perfect day ! ¬†Touche to all ! ¬†Oh yeah, Roger crushed the wedding too !

Roger had the honor of marrying Angel and Nancy this last weekend at the Andres Pico Adobe Park in Mission Hills.  This little gem is is one of the oldest adobe structures in the city of Los Angeles.  Built in 1834, it represents a bygone ear and the rich historical past of San Fernando Valley.  And this is where our Angel and Nancy wanted to have their wedding ceremony.  Both being long time residents of San Fernando Valley, they thought it would be the perfect place to tie the knot !  And with Roger’s help, the wedding was a great success !

Roger has three weddings, one at Coyote Hills Golf Club in Fullerton, at the Double Tree in San Pedro, and at the Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach

Image

Roger had the pleasure of marrying Jason & Katie this last weekend at the always spot on and professional Coyote Hills Golf Club in Fullerton. ¬†It was rather fitting that Jason and Katie marry at a golf course because that met in golf college and both make their living in the world of golf ! ¬†They are a truly amazing couple who couldn‚Äôt wait for this day to happen. ¬†They both laughed and cried during the ceremony and it was a wonderful day. ¬†And Jason and Katie added something most unusual to their ceremony, something Roger had never heard of‚Ķ. It‚Äôs called the Lovelock Tree Of Life Ceremony. ¬†It‚Äôs presented as this beautiful framed tree that holds places for ‚Äúlovelocks‚ÄĚ that represent major moments in their lives. ¬†The locks have no keys and cannot be opened. ¬†Their first lock was presented by both parents and was locked onto the Tree Of Live right then and there during the ceremony. ¬†It was a beautiful touch to a perfect wedding. ¬†

Roger had the pleasure of marrying Robert & Christine this last weekend at the Double Tree Hotel in San Pedro.  A beautiful small hotel just off the water.  And Rob & Christine, although only having a handful of guests, wanted it memorable.  Roger told them not to worry, that is the only kind of wedding he does.  And Roger had a lot of fun with this one.  You see, Robert is with the CIA and Roger asked him if he should mention that or not and Robert said he had nothing to hide ha !  So Roger pulled out the stops and gave the a fun-filled wedding with lots of laughs and tears !  It truly was a perfect, intimate wedding.  And Roger passed the background check too !

Roger had his comedy skills tested that last weekend when he had the very fun job of officiating the wedding for Dennis & Krystyna at the Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach.  Now Roger knew from the first time he met with Dennis & Krystyna that Dennis was a joker…..big time !  And every time Dennis would throw out a joke at the planning meeting, Krystyna would just roll her eyes.   She was used to his comedy ways and expected no less of it at the wedding. And boy oh boy did he deliver !  All thru the ceremony Dennis had funny lines and comments, mostly only that Kyrstyna and Roger could hear, so both Krystyna and Roger had to keep their wits about them in order to get thru the wedding !  All in all, it was the perfect wedding and Dennis is missing his calling as a comedian !

3 Awesome Weddings, one at the Summit House in Fullerton, one at Orange Hill Restaurant in Orange, and a Beach Wedding at Heisler Park Gazebo in Laguna Beach

Image

Ever since they met, Mark Jimenez and Lisa Tone have celebrated life and love with gusto. ¬†They value family and friends as the best blessing from above. ¬†So their wedding ceremony at the Summit House in Fullerton featured all that and more! ¬†They selected Rev. Dr. Gary Barmore of Great Officiants to plan with them and carry out a wedding of romance, commitment, faith and joy. ¬†The guests were particularly pleased to be asked for their affirmation of the couple, and they did just that with enthusiasm. ¬†Following personal “love letters” expressed to one another Lisa and Mark recited vows led by Rev. Gary. ¬†As they repeated each phrase, eyes locked on eyes, Mark and Lisa drifted physically closer and closer to each other, until at about six inches, Gary interjected, “Can’t kiss ’til vows are finished.” ¬†The couple and the crowd loved the moment … and even more the moment when they did embrace and engage in the holy kiss of marriage.¬†

Marco Corona and Aleena Huber, very much in love, planned meticulously for their wedding day. ¬†Most importantly they (1) reserved the ballroom and outdoor chapel at Orange Hill Restaurant, and (2) Through Great Officiants booked Rev.Dr. Gary Barmore to lead the marriage ceremony. ¬† They liked Gary’s open-minded Christian faith, his vocal energy, and the fact that they could meet with him at his home for planning and getting better acquainted. ¬† Then came the swift wild-fires in and around Tustin and Orange, bringing fear and devastation to so many. ¬† Rev. Gary contacted Marco and asked if they needed his help in finding another wedding venue. ¬†Is Orange Hill Restaurant still standing? ¬†Fortunately although the grounds were threatened and the staff prepared for evacuation, this classic site for dining and parties was spared. ¬†And by October 21 at 5pm, most of the smokey haze was gone and the sunset was beautiful. ¬† While our hearts went out to all those who suffered loss in the fires, it all worked out wonderfully for Aleena and Marco and their guests. ¬†The couple’s handsome beauty, plus their education and determination, mixed with a willingness to listen and consider the other’s perspective bodes really well for their life together in marriage.

Amy Kayl and Corey Madsen first met 26 years ago, but at age nineteen she declined his proposal of marriage. ¬†Going their separate ways, each remembered the power of their attraction and wondered what happened to their long-lost beloved. ¬† By means of the modern-day cupid — Facebook — they reconnected. ¬†Love’s fire blazed anew, and next to the baggage claim at John Wayne Airport, Corey dropped to one knee and popped the question — followed by Amy’s excited “yes!” ¬†Their favorite Bible verse, of course, is “Love Never Fails.” ¬†So for this greatest love, this couple selected the “Greatest Wedding” from Alan Katz’ Great Officiants. ¬†Alan’s crew secured the spectacular Gazebo in Laguna Beach, had it beautifully decorated, and suggested Rev.Dr. Gary Barmore to plan with them and conduct the ceremony. ¬† After meeting with Gary, Corey and Amy knew all the perfect pieces were in place. ¬† When the ceremony began at 2pm October 27, their was a mystical cloud-bank over the ocean, and then when the vows were being exchanged, the fog lifted and glorious sunshine sparkled the water and lit up the wedding site. ¬† For this dear couple and their guests, it was truly “The Greatest.”

Christina & Maulin S. - 08.07.16
Congratulations to Christina Hueso and Maulin Soneji on their August 7, 2016 wedding at the Fullerton Arboretum at Cal State Fullerton in Fullerton, CA.¬† The setting there is always beautiful and serine ‚Äď back to nature!¬† The ceremony in the midst of the trees, greenery and wildlife, with guests sheltered from the elements.¬† They added the sand ceremony and a presentation to Christina‚Äôs son, Sebastian by Maulin.¬† The rose presentation to their moms was very heartfelt and touching.¬† The ceremony was the perfect blend and coming together of very different cultures in a very beautiful way.¬† My best to Dr. & Mrs. Soneji as they head to the Mideast to begin their new life with a hopeful return to California in a few years.

On Sunday Dec. 6, the decor at the Springfield Center in Fullerton was beautiful

On Sunday Dec. 6, the decor at the Springfield Center in Fullerton was beautiful, and so was Bride Monique Fuentes, as reflected in the eyes of her waiting groom, Peter Edwards.¬† This was the first wedding where I got to quote “The Godfather,” one of the couple’s favorite films. Even better, the wedding was only 5 minutes from my own house. And best of all, bride and groom were thrilled with the ceremony, saying, “it was so awesome!”

A Beautifully Decorated Ceremony from the Heart at Coyote Hills Golf Club in Fullerton

Image

Justin and Angela had nowhere to turn, they were looking for a traditional Indian ceremony, fused with some traditional American customs, and a reading from the Bible. Many Hindu Pundits even turned them down because they had tattoos.

This truly saddened me.

In this day and age, there was still discrimination against how someone looked or how they chose to live their lives. Suvin representing Great Officiants, was more than happy to help this beautiful couple.

At the beautiful Coyote Hills Golf Club, I provided a traditional ceremony, in full garb, starting with a prayer, a garland exchange, a unity candle, and ending with their custom written vows.

They laughed at the appropriate and well placed jokes, they cried at the romantic elements, they smiled at the love being shared.

A Lovely Ceremony at the Muckenthaler Mansion in Fullerton

Image

20150919_174006_resized
David and Liz’s wedding at the Muckenthaler Mansion in Fullerton was simply lovely. ¬†We scheduled a rehearsal ahead of time, which gave us the opportunity to run through the ceremony and ensure that Liz and David and their entire wedding party (quite a bunch!) knew exactly what to expect the next day. Working with their wedding coordinator Sara was great!

The Muckenthaler Mansion was really beautiful, especially with all of the flowers and wedding decor.  There were different areas for wedding, appetizers and cocktails, and dinner and dancing.

I very much enjoyed getting to know this sweet couple and hearing about their relationship and what brought them to this point.  I was also glad to spend some time getting to know their parents and hearing a little bit more about the Korean culture and unique wedding celebrations.

Blessing to both David and Liz and their families as they begin their new life together as a married couple!
