Wonderful Bride & Groom, & their dog Sadie!

Roger officiated a beautiful wedding at the amazing Ritz Carlton this last weekend. The bride and groom, Blake & Shanell were a really fun loving couple who, when Blake proposed, the first words that Shanell said were “yes and can my dog Sadie be in the wedding?” Blake subcribes to the adage “Happy Wife, Happy Life” and said of course! Well, it was an amazing wedding and Sadie stole the show!!

A Bride a Groom and 3 Dogs show up for a beach wedding

Celene and Milton wanted to have a beach wedding so we were happy to design it.

beach wedding dogs

They wanted the arch and chairs and flowers and that’s what we do.

They also want to have their 3 dogs there and so we got the ok to have them in the ceremony.

We did it at our special beach in Long Beach and it was a blast.

They did a sand ceremony and some prayers and then I did a excerpt from How falling in love is like owning a dog by Taylor Mali

On cold winter nights, love is warm.
It lies between you and lives and breathes
and makes funny noises.
Love wakes you up all hours of the night with its needs.
It needs to be fed so it will grow and stay healthy.

Love doesn’t like being left alone for long.
But come home and love is always happy to see you.
It may break a few things accidentally in its passion for life,
but you can never be mad at love for long.

Is love good all the time? No! No!
Love can be bad. Bad, love, bad! Very bad love.

Love makes messes.
Love leaves you little surprises here and there.
Love needs lots of cleaning up after.
Somethimes you just want to get love fixed.
Sometimes you want to roll up a piece of newspaper
and swat love on the nose,
not so much to cause pain,
just to let love know Don’t you ever do that again!

Sometimes love just wants to go out for a nice long walk.
Because love loves exercise. It will run you around the block
and leave you panting, breathless. Pull you in different directions
at once, or wind itself around and around you
until you’re all wound up and you cannot move.

But love makes you meet people wherever you go.
People who have nothing in common but love
stop and talk to each other on the street.

Throw things away and love will bring them back,
again, and again, and again.
But most of all, love needs love, lots of it.
And in return, love loves you and never stops.

Great Officiant Roger’s Wedding Went To The Dogs!

Roger1Sign

Our Officiant Roger had a fantastic wedding March 8th at the Big Red Sun in Venice.

Roger2Coupleanddog
He married Wendy and Steven, a lovely couple who had their Boston Terrier in the wedding.

Now this dog was a very big part of their life together. The couple wanted her to march up to Roger to offer the rings.  The problem was their little terrier was partly Peroni” dog treat (that he had brought with him just in case) and rubbed it in his hands and the dog walked right up to him with the rings! Success! We believe Great Officiants is voted dog’s best friend!

We can’t tell you how happy we are with the ceremony!  You are totally responsible for setting the tone for what all of our guests called “the best wedding they’ve ever been to!”
We are eternally grateful to you and your passion for making our special day that much more special!
You made our dream come true!
Mad love,
Becks and Ash

Chihuahua dog takes an unexpected wedding swim

This was a first for me.
I met Amy and Michael at the Santa Monica pier. We walked down to the sand and did a loving ceremony with just the 2 of them a friend taking pictures and their mini sized Chihuahua.

After the ceremony I held the dogs leash while they got their pictures takin in the surf. The dog squirms out of the collarr and runs toward the surf and gets enveloped by a wave. The groom rushes over and pulls him out from under the curl.

We and every one surrounding us were freaking out. Thankfully the dog was safe just a bit scared and soaking wet.

It was a wedding to remember.
