A Cute Little Ceremony in Our Cute Little Wedding Chapel

Djedje & Terence & A Mauricio
Terence confided that initially his fiancé, Djedje, had some concerns when scheduling an appointment in early November with Great Officiants to have their Marriage solemnized at the Cute Little Wedding Chapel on Atlantic Avenue.  He was concerned that they might be confronted by someone with attitudes to same-sex marriage similar to those held by a certain Kentucky county clerk. Both grooms, however, were relieved upon meeting A. Mauricio Lubong who, without hesitation, cheerfully accepted their License and afterwards counted it a personal pleasure to officiate their Wedding.

A few days after their ceremony, the newlyweds¬†submitted an online¬†review that started with, ‚ÄúA.Mauricio was a wonderful official. He was funny and made us feel at ease on this stressful day;” and concluded¬†with “A.Mauricio was great and I would recommend him to anyone getting married.”

A Walk in at Our Cute Little Chapel In Long Beach

20150513_165001
It was a lovely afternoon in Long Beach for a wedding. This couple drove all the way down from Murrieta to get married today here in Our Cute Little Chapel. We issued their marriage license in the office, then they were off to the chapel! The bride got ready in our bridal room while the groom awaited in anticipation. To the sound of "Here Comes the Bride", the beautiful bride walked down the aisle.

I incorporated a couple prayers into this ceremony, as the lovely couple said they were spiritual. I talked a little bit about how they met (at a trampoline park, how fun!), and how they fell in love. I talked about what love meant, and how a good marriage lasts.

I know these two are going to happy, today, tomorrow, and forever. Congrats you two!

A Cute Couple Married at our Cute Little Chapel

Ninette and Michael are a match made in heaven. They came in today with a full house of 30 guests to get married at our Cute Little Chapel. They chose the my Favorite Ceremony package, it was beautiful. They incorporated the ring pillows and flowers that we offer. They also ordered our in house photo package, look at how great these pictures turned out!

WEDDING BELLS CHIME IN LONG BEACH FOR THESE TWO TEXANS

La’Vanae & Jessica

015_2

Once La’Vanae & Jessica re-thought their original idea of a Quickie I-Do ceremony out here in California, everything changed!

After some months of planning on Skype & email with Great Officiant Pris, these two wonderful women enjoyed an Ultimate custom ceremony, complete with Maya Angelou poetry, personal vows and jumping the broom before their family & friends in our cute little chapel downtown.

Pris

Their ceremony was also streamed live from our chapel, and within seconds of becoming lawfully wedded wives, they had a huge response on social media with over 50 tweets and more!  You go girls!

Rev Roger is inundated with Compliments!

Roger

Rev Roger has received compliments over the past few weeks and we’d like to share some to show Roger how grateful we are to have him on our team!

Roger married Brian & Melyssa at our Cute Little Chapel last August:

Hi Roger! I want to¬†THANK YOU¬†again for giving us the best ceremony EVER! The whole family is still talking about how awesome¬†the ceremony was¬†for our special day. It was the perfect blend of words from the heart and laughter to go with it. I’m not sure if you remember but Brian and I had changed the wedding last minute to save as much as we could to buy a house, and we did! The hard work paid off. We bought a house. Hopefully we can move in and enjoy it soon.

Warmest Regards, Melyssa

In early April, Brandon and Diane married at the Portofino Hotel

Hi Roger, Now that the dust has settled a little bit I just wanted to take this time to thank you for making our wedding so special. ¬†You were so amazing to work with and all of our friends & family said that the ceremony was lovely. ¬†Except for that awkward moment with my Mom’s “crazy long song” ūüôā I think the singer got a little carried away but you were so calm it made me calm. Lol. ¬†It isn’t a wedding w/out a few awkward moments, right? Anyway, Brandon & I are so happy to have met you, it was such a pleasure, you were great even from our very first interaction. We cannot Thank You enough!

Love, Brandon & Diane

P.S. Thank you for keeping Brandon company while we were all taking pics in the lobby.

Liz performs a very sweet ceremony ay our Cute Little Chapel

In addition to our regular chapel staff sometimes a couple requests one of our other Officiant team. Liz was requested for this couple. She tells her story here:

I’m a wedding planner who moonlights as an Officiant – apparently I have very limited

interests. What I love the most about both gigs is hearing each couple’s story. Alisha and Thomas had a wedding last August on the East Coast, but because of technical and logistical difficulties, they weren’t able to get themselves and a marriage license in the same place! This happens to more couples than you’d think, but it gave them the opportunity to get legally married on the anniversary of when they met – December 16th. Another of my favorite parts of each gig is helping dreams come true – they were just so happy that they could do that! While I was helping them write and their ceremony script, using one of Great Officiants templates, ¬†I was struck by the changes and affirmations they wanted to include ¬†No reminders of what love and marriage means, and what it takes to maintain and sustain both, but confirmation that they already were doing that. “You must be open to one another,” became “You are open to one another.” You must have the faith to move forward together without knowing what the future brings” became “You have the faith.” Nothing passive, no questions or worries. They were already there. Their ceremony was in the chapel at Great Officiants, and attended by local family. Alisha and Thomas wrote their own vows, and they were heartfelt, and appreciative and grateful of the journey and life they had together. That’s the hardest part of officiating for me – not choking or tearing up, myself. But the best, best part of officiating is standing in front of so much love. It just radiates and touches every thing and everyone present. And I always feel so honored to be there, and to be a part of their day.

See you at the end of the aisle,
