Check out these three awesome weddings Roger performed

The Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills is an amazing place to marry.  It can hold hundred’s of guests for an over the top, giant wedding……..  But in Mario & Laura’s wedding, it was no more than 10 people.  Just an Intimate, family ceremony.  So why did they choose Greystone ?  It was a place that Mario would take Laura when they first started dating and they wanted to marry where it all began.  And Roger got to be part of this amazing event.

Roger was fortunate enough to be part of a picture perfect wedding this last weekend.  He married Jaime & Kara, a wonderful couple truly in love.  The wedding was held at the Eagles Nest Country Club in Cypress.  The only concern was the weather forecast……. It was predicting triple digit heat and everyone was worried that this outdoor wedding was going to be ruined…….  Well, it was either Roger’s wishing, or mother nature wanting to help, but the temperature at the venue was a comfortable level and everyone had a great time.  Not too hot at all !!

If you had to pick the perfect place for a sunset wedding, the Laguna Beach Surf & Sand Hotel up on the terrace would be in the top ten…….That is where Roger had the pleasure of marrying Darryl and Alexandria this last weekend.  And to top off this amazing wedding venue, Darryl & Alexandra told Roger that their guests were coming to party and Roger needed to bring the fun, funny and romance to their ceremony !  Boy did they come to the right guy !  Not only did Roger have the guests in stitches, but many, many heartfelt moments throughout the ceremony.  It was a perfect wedding !

Eric and Kathy invited me to celebrate their wedding this Saturday The ceremony took place in warm and sunny Santee at the Carlton Oaks Country Club

After the priest who was going to celebrate their wedding canceled on them at the last minute, Eric and Kathy invited me to celebrate their wedding this Saturday

The ceremony took place in warm and sunny Santee at the Carlton Oaks Country Club. The venue, situated about 15 minutes east of central San Diego,  I would say is sort of a hidden gem in the San Diego area.

The ceremony began as the sun dipped behind the trees leaving the grassy area where the wedding would take place in the cool shade.  The couple wanted a full and traditional Catholic Rite of Marriage Outside of Mass.  Reading were done by Kathy’s Aunt and Eric’s sister.  Kathy’s niece sang in place of the responsorial psalm.  The couple chose to use the Church’s traditional vows and, after being pronounced man and wife, enthusiastically sealed their commitment to one another with a kiss.

Steve and Teryn chose the Altadena Country Club for their day of celebration on April 1, 2017

When planning a wedding, it is important that the couple be aware of their parent’s wishes and try to accommodate them if they can, but ultimately the decisions about the ceremony are up to the bride and groom. Steve and Teryn chose the Altadena Country Club for their day of celebration on April 1, 2017.  Being an interfaith couple, Teryn, requested the pastor of her family’s church to co-officiate with Rabbi Barry.  Having never performed an interfaith ceremony, Pastor Jean was open to suggestions that would make this event all-inclusive.  However, at the last minute, Steve’s mother requested that the pastor not use certain Christian expressions as she felt they might offend their Jewish guests.  Pastor Jean was willing to honor her request, however, Steve and Teryn insisted that he use the language of his faith and to be himself. The ceremony was sweet and the pastor was sensitive to all involved. Though planning a wedding takes a village, planning a ceremony is between the bride, groom and officiant(s).

Congratulations to Laura Ortega & Cory McDermott on their September 9, 2016 wedding at The Canyon Crest Country Club in Riverside, CA

Congratulations to Laura Ortega & Cory McDermott on their September 9, 2016 wedding at The Canyon Crest Country Club in Riverside, CA.  Once the wind died down it was the perfect day for a wedding – temperature just right, right on the green with a great view.  Cocktail hour was upstairs, outside overlooking the ceremony site with the same great view.  The bride was anxious and ready to go and the ceremony started on time precisely as scheduled.  Everything was just perfect (which was extra special considering that due to unexpected circumstances the venue was changed just three weeks prior to the ceremony).  All vendors did an exceptional job.

Congratulations to Tehra Yosifi & James Kanooni on their July 23, 2016 wedding at the beautiful Woodland Hills Country Club in Woodland Hills, CA

Tehra & James K. - 07.23.16
Congratulations to Tehra Yosifi & James Kanooni on their July 23, 2016 wedding at the beautiful Woodland Hills Country Club in Woodland Hills, CA.  It would be an understatement to say it was a HOT day in Los Angeles (especially with the fires in neighboring Santa Clarita).  There were no issues and all went well.  The ceremony was well-coordinated, started on time and exceeded the couples expectations!  The coordinator, Rebecca was great and left nothing to the imagination.  While the ceremony was simple, the addition of the Sand Ceremony, the perfect blend of humor and seriousness and an eloquent-looking couple and bridal party resulted in a beautiful ceremony that everyone enjoyed!

Another Seacliff County Club Wedding for Great Officiant Greg!

20160625_162649
Great Officiant Greg had the honor and pleasure of marrying Beau and Haylee Bergevin on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the beautiful Seacliff Country Club in Huntington Beach, California. The private club, owned by American Golf, is a wonderful venue for a classy, elegant and fun wedding and reception.

Beau and his groomsmen were very handsome and sharp in their black tuxedos, and Haylee was just beautiful and elegant in her wedding dress, and the bridesmaids were beautiful too!

Beau and Haylee selected “My Favorite Ceremony” which was customized by Great Officiant Greg.  The loving ceremony was laced with just enough humor to keep the ceremony fun.  Haylee was beside herself with tears of joy, and Beau was so happy.  Haylee steadied herself by replying “Hell yes” when asked by Great Officiant Greg “Do you take Beau to be your Husband”?  (That does qualify as a correct two-word answer, in lieu of “I Do”)  Everyone had a great time!

Many of Beau and Haylee’s friends commented on how much they enjoyed the ceremony, that it was the best they have ever experienced, and how enjoyable, loving and fun it was!

Many thanks to the staff at Seacliff Country Club for their expert help and support, and to Johnathan the DJ and sound expert for his assistance.

All of us at Great Officiants wish Beau and Haylee much love and happiness in their life together.

On a beautiful June 10 at California Country Club in Whittier, William Smith and Ashley Lidwin pledged their lives together in marriage

On a beautiful June 10 at California Country Club in Whittier, William Smith and Ashley Lidwin pledged their lives together in marriage.  They have lived for some time in Pennsylvania, but family and friends mostly reside in Southern California. So after securing the beautiful outdoor venue, they wondered who could they find as qualified clergy to lead their ceremony.  Turning to Great Officiants, they chose to engage the ministerial services of Rev Dr Gary Barmore, and sure enough, their vision of those most important fifteen minutes of their life was truly fulfilled.  Great Officiants even took care of acquiring for Will and Ashley a California marriage license.  They return to the East Coast with photos and memories, best wishes and a lifetime of love together.
