On a glorious Saturday afternoon I had the honor and pleasure of officiating at The Bel Air Bay club. This private over 100 year old club is truly old California. Spanish Moorish style, overlooking the sparkling Pacific Ocean Calvin and Helen got married in ultimate style. Every thing about this event was absolutely perfect. Trina Schmidt and her staff are no doubt professional with years of experience. We had 170 guests .
Our ceremony was custom designed to their liking a beautiful blend of Christian and Buddhists. Lighthearted yet sincere, they chose to compose their own vows. My first time working with a translator. Ms. Vy Huyen Hoang is a very skilled translator. She translated our whole ceremony to Vietnamese.
We also had the pleasure of listening to a fabulous trio of string instruments gently playing in the background. Angel’s I say WOW ! They had a beautiful group of friends in their bridal party including their two adorable doggies dressed in wedding attire. Our awesome public notary on staff Al-X came from Long Beach to hand delivered the Marriage Certificate .
We are the only company in California allowed to issue this document other than the register recorder county clerk. Such a huge plus to have this privilege for our clients. Fast and easy . Of course the evening was full of love and laughter eating drinking and dancing . I thank this beautiful couple and wish them all great things in life . Thank you for choosing Great officiants and me Officiant Lisa Smith.
Natalie and Tyler got married at the Belair Bay club. It was my first wedding at this venue and I certainly hope not the last. What an amazing place with incredible views of the Pacific ocean! After the ceremony I started talking to Natalie’s father and we realized we have friends in common! Needless to say I will definitely stay in touch with him and start playing tennis again! And of course with Natalie and Tyler is well!
There is nothing touchier than a Co-officiated wedding with a Priest and Rabbi. Alan Katz has a crew of officiants who work seamlessly together. As was the case for Shai and Marissa. Paring Rabbi Barry Tuchman and Fr. Geoff Farrow was a gift from Heaven. Married on August 25th at the Bel Air Bay Club, under perfect conditions, there was not one glitch to the ceremony. Having worked with Fr. Geoff several times in the past, I have found him to be warm, compassionate and rich with knowledge and feeling. I on the other hand provided the joyful and funny parts of the nuptials. Of course, the Jewish traditions were explained with care for those who were not familiar to the traditions. It was as if Fr. Geoff and I were members of a band playing our unique parts. Rock on….
