Doctor Who References at the Vintage Rose in Orange Wedding Ceremony

Elisha and Wesley were big Doctor Who Fans and wanted to incorporate Dr. Who quotes throughout the ceremony.

So here are the quotes I used and where I put them into the wedding ceremony

In the Opening

When you’re a kid, they tell you it’s all… Grow up, get a job, get married, get a house, have a kid, and that’s it. But the truth is, the world is so much stranger than that. It’s so much darker. And so much madder. And so much better.

Before the Vows

Some people live more in 20 years than others do in 80. It’s not the time that matters, it’s the person.

Before the Ido’s

The universe is big. It’s vast and complicated and ridiculous. And sometimes, very rarely, impossible things just happen and we call them miracles.”

Before the Rings

“There’s a lot of things you need to get across this universe. Warp drive… wormhole refractors… You know the thing you need most of all? You need a hand to hold.”

Before the Kiss

We’re all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?

Don’t turn your back. Don’t look away. And don’t blink. Good Luck

Easter Bunny shows up at wedding at Point Dume in Malibu Beach Wedding

Joey and Gustavo wanted to get married on Easter Sunday so i dad to bring along my bunny head.

I didn’t wear it for the ceremony only for pictures after. It made for a great laugh.

They chose Point Dume in Malibu. I was all ready to walk out onto the beach when their friend pointed to the top of the cliffs and said the wedding is up there. I was not ready for that as I was ready to be barefoot on the beach. SO I put on my dress shoes and trecked up the hill.

It was worth every gasp when i got up there. The view is amazing

They decorated the area with wild flowers and draping and the grooms walked down the gauntlet of friends to the end of the path to where I was waiting.

They did a beautiful Sand Ceremony blending their lives together.

After it was all done they had a big kiss and got tons of pictures with their family and friends.

The Plane Crash and the Couple

Normally you don’t hear both of those words in the same sentence but today was a special day.

They came here from Australia with their child to get married on the beach. We met in the parking lot first were issued them their marriage license and we proceeded to walk to the beach.

While on the beach at Point Dume in Malibu as we were walking toward the beach we noticed something strange in the sand.

Plane wreckage:

This area is well known for shooting movies and apparently they were shooting a movie about a plane crash.

So after we explored a bit we went down to the waters edge by the rocks.

I performed a beautiful ceremony for them with the waves crashing in the background. During the ceremony a helicopter flew over and thankfully it didn’t crash.

During their big kiss their child jumped up to join them. It was a very sweet moment.

We love doing beach weddings!

This couple rented an Airbnb in this cool little castle looking structure off of Latigo Canyon and Alan performed their wedding at an overlook nearby

Traveling from out of state, this couple rented an Airbnb in the Malibu Hills to stay. They stayed in this cool little castle looking structure off of Latigo Canyon. While exploring the area they discover this wonderful lookout about three quarters of a mile up the hill from where they were staying. They decided that was where they were going to do the ceremony. I wish they had told me because I was wearing my loafers which are not proper shoes for hiking.

Once on top of the hill and after I caught my breath I performed a simple yet meaningful ceremony for them.

I took this really cool 360° video of them kissing and pictures of the surrounding area. It was not only a great experience for them but a treat for me. Anytime I can do a wedding outside the norm I am a happy boy.

Fun Disney Movie Reading for a Wedding Ceremony

I have a lot of couples who are huge Disney fans so I wrote this story on How to live like your favorite Disney Character.

Live your life like some or your favorite movies.
Like Carl and Ellie Fredricksen your love can be epic. It can only go UP from here.
May you learn to cook like Remy in Ratatouille…
Like Wreck It Ralph strive to be better and to make people love and admire you.
You will find your own National Treasure by going on quests and seeking the true meaning of the clues you give each other thru your relationship.
Like Jack sparrow seek your adventure to find what you treasure most. Gold, pearls and lots of rum.
Like Flik in Bugs life sometimes being a misfit can turn you into a warrior if you just believe in yourself.
Like Ariel in the Little Mermaid you learned to be a little rebellious to get what you desire and you found someone to be part of your world.
Like In Aladdin even a loly street urchin can find his princess by rubbing the magic lamp. Just don’t rub it the wrong way.
Like Mike and Sully from Monsters inc help others find their way even though it may seem scary
The movie Cars shows you the true meaning of friendship and family.
The story in Mulan shows you to honor your parents as they helped you grow to be who you are be there for them when they need you
Like Jack Skellington in Nightmare Before Christmas create your own celebrations the way you want them to be.
Not everything is a fairytale in life, but when you devote your life to the one you love you can live a complete life.
May you one day both find your own Paradise Falls

How to Get Copies of Your Marriage License and Change Your Name After You are Married

You Just Got Married…..Now What?

The marriage license is your permission to be married, when you provide it to your Officiant on the day of the wedding (free of any stains or wrinkles); your Officiant will sign and file the license with the county.
