Saturday, Kevin and Megan got married at, Plaza de Magdalena in San Juan Capistrano. These two foodies designed their Custom Ketubah to reflect their passion for cooking. Smiles were everywhere and reflected the serene coming together of these two incredible people. Mazel Tov to a wonderful couple.
Roger had the honor of marrying Eric & Wai-Ling at the amazing Wedgewood Country Club. They are an adorable couple who are perfect for one another. And their choice of a wedding venue was spot on. The grounds are beautiful and cozy and it was a perfect day for a wedding. Blue skies, the perfect temperature, and a great officiant !
Kindal Kincade and Jeremiah Bright were worried about their chosen day for matrimonial vows. October 12 was right in the middle of forecasted fierce and fire-hot Santa Ana winds — a big problem for an outdoor wedding at Turnip Rose in Costa Mesa. To great relief, their special day dawned calm and pleasant. Late-afternoon rays of the sun bathed bride and groom, as well as the wedding party and 150 guests. Kindal smiled joyously while Jeremiah shared his “love letter” to her before God, family and friends, and Jeremiah blotted Kindal’s tears of happiness as she voiced her love note to him. They were so appreciative to Great Officiants of Long Beach for recommending Rev Dr Gary Barmore to plan with them and preside over a ceremony that was faithful to their Lutheran tradition, yet communicated with a dynamic contemporary style. After pronouncing the couple Husband and Wife, Dr Barmore invited them to the table of the candle ceremony, to express in symbol what had happened in reality: their two lives aflame together forever. With no wind whatsoever, no one got nervous that the flame could start a wildfire like others burning in California. Prayers went out for those suffering, but joyous gratitude was the order-of-the-day for Mr and Mrs Jeremiah Bright.
Riece Bailey and Ian Mueller traveled from Kansas City to the California coast for a private and picturesque ceremony. Great Officiants of Long Beach suggested the perfect site, secured their wedding license, suggested a photographer and engaged Rev Dr Gary Barmore to lead the marriage ceremony. The love each has for the other was beautifully expressed in their exchange of vows, and Rev Gary read a touching letter sent to them from Ian’s mother in Kansas. After a few more days of celebrating and seeing west coast sites, the couple will return to Kansas City to build their life together. God Bless.
Knowing September in Southern California is an extension of summer, Diane Baquedano and Joseph Massaro planned an outdoor ceremony at Tustin Ranch Golf Club. They met with Rev Dr Gary Barmore of Great Officiants to plan every detail of a beautiful ceremony. They and their entourage were dressed “to the nines.” But the weather turned dark and stormy on their big day, September 28, and disappointment loomed large. As family and friends took their seats in the outdoor plaza the moist air was about to turn to sprinkles. Nevertheless, the processional proceeded, the full ceremony was completed and the guests who were seated clapped and cheered the happy couple, who “skipped between the raindrops” to the indoor pavilion for a sensational wedding reception.
This was the first time that Roger has been to this charming private wedding venue in Temecula. It’s called Villa de Amore and it’s in the middle of the wine country and the views are stunning. Mathew & Caitlyn, who are from Colorado, found this little gem and were very excited for the big day. Roger was working with the two resident team members that are their preferred vendors. Ross, the DJ and Laura the coordinator. Both were absolutely amazing! They kept everything running smoothly and the wedding was a big hit… not to mention Roger’s very funny and romantic ceremony! Here’s to teamwork!
Roger always likes to officiate at the Calamigos Equestrian Center in Burbank. It’s a beautiful setting, intimate yet spacious enough… And the bride and groom Jessica and Michael really wanted to make it special, not only for them but for their shy, 3 year old daughter Misha who was going to be the flower girl for the wedding. They were a little nervous not knowing if Misha would even walk down the aisle let alone make it thru the ceremony. So they begin the ceremony… the bridal party makes it’s way down… then the families… then the ring bearer… and then Misha… who makes it down perfectly!!! She even drops the flower petals as planned… It’s perfect… until she sees daddy standing there and runs to him to be picked up… But daddy needs her to sit down so the bride Jessica can come out… But Misha isn’t having it… She wants up!! Dad Michael doesn’t know what to do and everybody else is frozen. So Roger comes to the rescue… He whispers into the microphone that “they have cookies over in the front row for you”… That’s all it took and she was done with daddy… cookies won out! Thank goodness Roger saw that they did indeed have cookies or he would have some explaining to do! And the wedding went off without a hitch!!
