Earl Burn Miller Japanese Garden is the perfect the site for a Buddhist-inspired wedding ceremony!

Amidst the serenity of waterfalls, lush greenery, koi and lily pads in full bloom, Abe & Sarah made the vow to practice the Five Awarenesses and Compassion, and thus became husband and wife according to Buddhist tradition before their family and friends from all over the country.

And as the wedding rituals of Vietnamese Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh were creatively woven together by Great Officiant Priscilla with traditional ceremony elements such as the community vow, remembrances and ring exchange, it was clear to everyone present how the couple’s spiritual practice is integral to their daily urban life.

So Abe & Sarah’s life-long spiritual partnership was honored and celebrated with elegance and with grace, through their incense offerings to the Buddha; being annointed with lotus oil and the sound of the tibetan singing bowl; many bows and of course, “Namaste!”
