Olivia Pan and Christopher Lim made a series of good choices for their marriage ceremony May 23: the weather was lovely, as was the lakeside gazebo at Almansor Court; the coordinator, photographer, and DJ exercised their professional skills without being obtrusive; Rev Gary Barmore, their minister from Great Officiants, conducted a ceremony that he planned with the couple, allowing them to relax and really experience the expressions of love, commitment and joy. Another purposeful choice was the day of May 23, because it was exactly five years before on Chris’s May 22 birthday that they had their first date. Chris and Olivia, cherishing their families and heritage, presented roses to their parents, while coordinator Kate translated Rev. Barmore’s words into Vietnamese. Their officient himself teared-up at the close of the ceremony, remarking that this was the first time in over a year he could approach a couple and place his hands on theirs for the marriage blessing.
Michelle and Chris have such a unique love story. They waited 38 years to get married. Now, they did not date for that long because life took them down several different roads. Until they met again at their 25 year High School reunion, and the sparks flew. Michelle recalled Chris asking her in 5th grade on the playground to “go around” with him, so they say that’s technically when they started dating. They would talk on the phone at night and Chris would say, “we are going to get married when we grow up!” Who knew fate would actually bring them together in marriage 38 years later. And they’re both so glad they waited.
When Aaron, Ashley and I sat down, I knew they wanted to have a ceremony that honored Aaron’s mother who had passed on 13 years ago. They were married in front of the large rock waterfall at Skylinks Golf Course in Long Beach. Aaron & Ashley honored his mom by having an 8×10 picture of her along with flowers on the first chair in the first row. Every once in a while they glanced over to see her watching them. It was very heartfelt and emotionally moving. Congratulations to Aaron & Ashley for celebrating their love with Great Officiants.
This is exactly what Great Officiants is famous for. Brandan and Kelly are both very funny people and wanted a funny wedding to go along with their personalities… so they came to Roger. And Roger gave them exactly what they were counting on… A fun & romantic wedding ceremony! Another great wedding at Orcutt Ranch!
Roger was really looking forward to this wedding. First of all, it’s at one of his favorite wedding venues in Orange County. The Heritage Museum in Santa Ana. Not only beautiful grounds but a very accommodating staff to boot! But the biggest reason is Jason and Wendy are really fun people and they picked Roger because they knew that he would bring the funny and fun as well! For example, just before the ceremony they invited everybody in the bridal party (along with Roger) for Jagermeister shots! And everybody jumped in on the party and did shots… except Roger… And as much as Roger would have loved to be part of the party, someone needed to be the designated officiant! So no alcohol for Roger but he did give them a killer wedding ceremony!
