Roger Verses Misha the Flower Girl

Image

Roger always likes to officiate at the Calamigos Equestrian Center in Burbank.  It’s a beautiful setting, intimate yet spacious enough… And the bride and groom Jessica and Michael really wanted to make it special, not only for them but for their shy, 3 year old daughter Misha who was going to be the flower girl for the wedding.  They were a little nervous not knowing if Misha would even walk down the aisle let alone make it thru the ceremony.  So they begin the ceremony… the bridal party makes it’s way down… then the families… then the ring bearer… and then Misha… who makes it down perfectly!!!  She even drops the flower petals as planned…
It’s perfect… until she sees daddy standing there and runs to him to be picked up… But daddy needs her to sit down so the bride Jessica can come out… But Misha isn’t having it… She wants up!! Dad Michael doesn’t know what to do and everybody else is frozen.  So Roger comes to the rescue… He whispers into the microphone that “they have cookies over in the front row for you”… That’s all it took and she was done with daddy… cookies won out!  Thank goodness Roger saw that they did indeed have cookies or he would have some explaining to do! And the wedding went off without a hitch!!

Clear Skies Ahead at Lake Oak Meadows

Image

On Sunday, September 29th at 5pm Maria Chaveli Garcia and Errol Rice declared themselves to be a family before their families, friends and God.  Their wedding, which took place at Lake Oak Meadows was celebrated by Father Jacob Munhoz.

After what threatened to be a rainy rehearsal the day before, the day of the wedding provided a clear blue sky, a cool breeze, and a perfect temperature for a late September wedding.  Maria and Errol gathered family and friends from all over to witness their marriage.  The couple chose a shorter ceremony but also wanted to include the traditional Catholic elements of the exchange of arras (coins) which symbolize the material commitment they are making to care for one another for the rest of their lives, the lazo which symbolizes the unbreakable bond they are forming through their vows, and the veil which symbolizes purity and God’s loving protection over their household.  They wrote their own beautiful vows and also included the vows of the Church.

The Estate on Second st.

Image

Allison Dickherber and Kyle Herberger chose a wedding venue that was both elegant and earthy: The brick-walled Estate on Second Street in downtown Santa Ana, which offers pristine facilities and efficient staffing.   Through Great Officiants they secured the ministry of Rev Dr Gary Barmore who planned with them and presided over a ceremony, not read from a script, but addressed right to the couple and their guests.  The whole crowd felt deep emotion when Kyle and Allison read love letters to each other, followed by recitation of traditional vows and then unison ring vows. Guests who knew only one of them were wowed when during the pronouncement of marriage their names struck a vocal confluence. As is apparent in the photos, these two expressed their love and joy with sustained smiles throughout the ceremony and no doubt throughout the celebration.

A Simple Intimate Wedding

Image

Roger had the honor of marrying Jeff & Carmay at the always so wonderful Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach.  This venue is always a crowd favorite and they once again did just that.  Everything was spot on and the wedding was an intimate, one of a kind ceremony.

A Wonderful New Place to Marry !

Image

Roger had the wonderful pleasure of marrying Rob & Courtney at a wedding venue he had never been to before.  It’s the Emerald Peak Venue in Temecula.  It’s a small family owned venue right in the middle of nothing !  It’s a beautiful, secluded place that you definitely need special instructions to find !  But once you do, you are treated to a one of a kind wedding venue !  Both Rob and Courtney were a loving and most unique couple and wanted their wedding to reflect that and Roger was the guy to bring it !  It was a wonderful wedding with tears and laughs abound !

Sunshine at Rancho Los Cerritos

Image

Tessa Silva and Brett Campbell live in the modern-design neighborhood of Marina del Rey, but for their wedding they chose the historic Rancho Los Cerritos adobe estate in Long Beach — ceremony in the plaza, cocktails on the terrace and dinner-reception on the tree-shaded lawn.  Through Great Officiants they secured the ministerial services of Rev Dr Gary Barmore, who planned with them and presided over their ceremony.  Brett and Tessa were thrilled that their wedding was both dignified and personal, both spiritual and earthy, presented with tenderness and strength.  Preceding the exchange of traditional vows the couple read love letters to each other, leaving few dry eyes among the guests.
