I have a lot of couples who are huge Disney fans so I wrote this story on How to live like your favorite Disney Character.
Live your life like some or your favorite movies. Like Carl and Ellie Fredricksen your love can be epic. It can only go UP from here. May you learn to cook like Remy in Ratatouille… Like Wreck It Ralph strive to be better and to make people love and admire you. You will find your own National Treasure by going on quests and seeking the true meaning of the clues you give each other thru your relationship. Like Jack sparrow seek your adventure to find what you treasure most. Gold, pearls and lots of rum. Like Flik in Bugs life sometimes being a misfit can turn you into a warrior if you just believe in yourself. Like Ariel in the Little Mermaid you learned to be a little rebellious to get what you desire and you found someone to be part of your world. Like In Aladdin even a loly street urchin can find his princess by rubbing the magic lamp. Just don’t rub it the wrong way. Like Mike and Sully from Monsters inc help others find their way even though it may seem scary The movie Cars shows you the true meaning of friendship and family. The story in Mulan shows you to honor your parents as they helped you grow to be who you are be there for them when they need you Like Jack Skellington in Nightmare Before Christmas create your own celebrations the way you want them to be. Not everything is a fairytale in life, but when you devote your life to the one you love you can live a complete life. May you one day both find your own Paradise Falls
With our custom lit chapel, the happy couple exchanged vows, said i do, exchanged rings, and even had a Disney inspired hand blessing ceremony, where each string represented the different lands of Disney, from adventure, to fantasy, to tomorrow land.
Finally came the kiss, and the crowd went wild.
The fun didn’t end there, this happy couple took the party to our terrace, where they celebrated their first dance together.
Brian and Jeannette got married at the Disneyland Hotel thru their Fairy Tale Wedding Division. They wanted to give honor to Disney “The Happiest Place on Earth” so we came up with a hand binding ceremony and each ribbon referred to a different land. Read it below.
FANTASYLAND Long before you met you had this fantasy of falling in love, finding the right person and living happily ever after today that fantasy comes true. So I place the 1st ribbon.
ADVENTURELAND Your life together has been a wonderful adventure. You have gone together to amazing places and experienced new feelings and great food and met interesting people and so we place the 2nd ribbon
FRONTIERLAND Together you get to explore new frontiers. Trying new places to go, new friends to meet may these new frontiers show to a way to your future, And so we place the 3rd ribbon
STAR WARS LAND You think she is out of this world. Your Jedi strength is strong together. Along your adventure you will encounter many different beings. Some good some evil. Use the force to be able to know the right path. Together you can defeat the empire and return the galaxy to peace.
TOMORROWLAND All of the lands you have visited have prepared you for tomorrow land. May it be filled with fantasy, may your adventures tomorrow be bigger and bolder that you can ever imagine and may you blaze new frontiers together and create a happy home surrounded with family and love and help others find their Tomorrowland.
Carrie & Fernando's wedding took place at Disneyland Hotel's Rose Court Garden. This venue is absolutely beautiful as you can see from the picture. Even though it was a hot day the ceremony took place inside the gazebo so the couple and I were not hot at all and there was a very nice breeze.
We did our "My Favorite" ceremony with a few catholic characteristics added to it such as 1st Corinthians, John 4: 7-12, and A wedding prayer at the end. We also added the sand ceremony but instead of using sand I customized that tradition and rewrote it to make it for a Lego heart. The couple built a red Lego heart with their initials in white. We separated the heart in half and when we got to that portion of the ceremony instead of pouring their sands into the main container the united the heart making it complete which symbolized that uniting their lives completes both of their hearts.
This was truly a beautiful ceremony and I love when my couples get creative with different traditions and add-ins that we can provide. Carrie & Fernando I wish you guys nothing but love in all the blessings in the world! Keep letting your inner childs come out and play!
Perla and Matthew got their fairytale wedding today at Disney. He is a fireman and so as a surprise she arrange for one of the historic Disney fire engines to bring her in and then take them around after. He was so excited about this.
Their ceremony was very goofy. They wanted to do mad Lib vows and have their guests fill in the blank for the ceremony. They did some great custom I dos too.
Perla To Matthew:
• Do you promise to not get frustrated with me when I don't listen to your fitness, dietary or medical advice?
• Do you promise to not blame me for your hearing loss, vision loss and any other natural change that happens with age?
• Do you promise to not pass out next month when you see the credit card bill?
Matthew to Perla:
• Do you Perla promise to not shush me when I'm watching football?
• Do you Perla promise to understand that my collection of Frisbees, is like your collection of shoes?
• Do you Perla promise to leave the car radio on one radio station for longer than half a second while station hopping?
After the ceremony they went into the park to play for a few hours before the reception in the evening.
They wanted something different and I was happy to oblige.
They wanted to incorporate Star Wars, Harry Potter and Disney into the ceremony. This would be a challenge for a regular Wedding Officiant but a breeze for Alan Katz.
For the Star Wars I used a quote from the Wedding of Princess Lea and Han Solo. For the Harry Potter they did a hand binding ceremony and each cord was named for a different house of Hogwarts along with the atributes of each house. I also used quotes from the movie to prepare a reading that flowed perfectly. For the Disney I used different movies and character reffrences to portray their relationship.
I created a potion ceremony where they had 2 different vials of liquid and they poured them into this vessel (filled with dry ice and smoke arose from it to signify their love connection. I used swords to have them swear up to proclaim their love for one another.
I perform this wonderful ceremony at Disney for a 10 year vow renewal. And I broke out all the stops even sang "once upon a dream" for them to dance to below is their review.
Great experience with a warm, fun ceremony posted 2014-08-26
Alan Katz conducted our 10 year vow renewal in June 2014 at the Disneyland Resort's Rose Court Garden. Alan was very accommodating to our schedules and both calling and meeting us in person to arrange our ceremony, and he created a very customized, humorous but also touching ceremony. Alan also came to see me just before the ceremony to brief me on how things were going to go. He has absolutely fantastic personal skills and was very reassuring. Even better, I laughed, had fun and very much enjoyed our renewal and each of our guests said it was one of the best weddings they'd ever been to. There were no "snooze" moments whatsoever, and despite the heat of being outdoors, everyone had a great time at the ceremony. Even the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings staff stayed close as they said "this was a ceremony they weren't going to miss!" That says something when your venue knows it is going to be a special event because you have THAT good of an officiant. We were so happy to work with Alan Katz, and hope to see him in another 10 years (or sooner) for a renewal. We feel that keeping the fun and commitment in your marriage helps it survive, and with a great officiant like Alan, it keeps the fun and engagement of everyone present and alive….
