Country Club wedding

Check out these three awesome weddings in Edens Garden in Moorpark, Maggiano’s in Costa Mesa, and Porter Valley Country Club

Jasmine and Joseph’s wedding took place at Edens Garden in Moorpark, California and let me tell you this truly is the Garden of Eden… Beautiful landscaping, wonderful greenery, captivating fountains, outstanding plants and flowers and luscious green grass are just some of the perks of this wonderful hidden gem… An outside reception area that just captivates the mind and soul with white peacocks in cages to astound the eye.

As Jasmine was preparing to walk down the aisle Joseph could not hold his emotions back… “oh my God, oh my God, oh my God”, was all he could say when he saw his wife to be coming down the aisle in Edens Garden. Jasmine’s smile lit up the place and her walk to him was emotional, exciting and of course a little anxious

They wrote their own vows to each other and read them with passion, feeling and conviction, and as they were pronounced husband and wife and walked off into Edens Garden to celebrate their marriage nuptials, all I could say was; this was a great wedding, for a great couple, at a great place by Great Officiants.

Joshua and Britney‘s wedding took place and Maggiano’s Italian Restaurant in Costa Mesa California… This wedding was elegant, quite intimate and beautiful… Their colors were a beautiful gray and plum that accented the oak wood tables,  chairs and the room was a stunning cream with soft wood oak walls that had an appeal of warmth and flavor… Their procession was small but so heartwarming and beautiful… They wrote their own vows in which both teared up with joy in their hearts to each other… Their mother’s were so happy and Maggiano’s did a wonderful job of making their day beautiful.

Last April, Great Officiants contacted me with a request for a rabbi to officiate Jared and Meghann’s interfaith wedding ceremony at Porter Valley Country Club. I was available for November 18th and reached out to them.   Within a few moments, I bonded with this fun loving couple and they with me.  We met together to craft their unique ceremony and then commissioned to create their Custom Ketubah.

Explaining the opportunity they have to customize their Ketubah and infuse it with their energies, they chose the lake and fountain at the Country Club, which was to be the background of their ceremony.

Meghann and Jared’s ceremony was to start at 4:30 and the sun was just getting prepared to surround the couple and guests with a spectacular light show that was not expected.  The weather and sun setting was like soft music playing while they shared their vows before family and friends.  Congratulations to the Jared and Meghann!

Stacey has three great weddings: Palisades Park in Santa Monica, Ontario Hotel, and Upland Hills Country Club

Their love story began with a simple friendship. A Facebook friendship. Jory admitted that when she first accepted her now-husband’s friend request on FB back in 2007 she immediately crushed on him. She quietly kept track of his status through photos and updates. Through a series of “coincidences” their virtual friendship became an actual frelationship. Fast-forward ten years: her once-skeptical family of her internet romance are now solid believers in the transcendent power of Facebook.

About 20 family members, both sets of parents, step parents, cousins and siblings assembled at Palisades Park for this ceremony on August 26.

Family members joined Officiant Stacey Newsome in blessing the couple with this  prayer they wrote for the occasion:

Bless their marriage, O God, as they begin their journey down the road of life together. We don’t know what lies ahead for the road turns and bends. But help them to make the best of whatever comes their way.

Help them to continue to enjoy each other as they did when they first met. Help them to realize that nothing nor no one is perfect and to look for the good in all things and all people including themselves.

Help them to respect each other’s likes and dislikes, opinions and beliefs, hopes and dreams and fears even though they may not always understand them.

Help them to learn from each other and to help each other to grow mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Help them to realize that no matter what happens to them they will hold on to each other and know that things have a way of working out for the good.

Help them to create for their children a peaceful, stable home of love as a foundation on which they can build their lives.

But most of all, dear God, help them to keep lit the torch of love’ that they now share so that by their loving example they may pass on the light of love to their children and to their children’s children forever.

Family members then deposited personal messages and cash gifts into a keepsake box the couple will open on their anniversary. Though, they admit the cash will likely not live in the box the entire year!

It was my pleasure to officiate this lovely ceremony and I wish them many, many happy years together.

From the Tennessee Valley to the San Gabriel Valley, it may have been a job transfer that brought this couple from the South to the West, but it’s love and and a desire for a warm-weather vacation that brought their family here for the occasion.

Scott and Nicole held an intimate ceremony at the Ontario Hotel and Convention Center. Scott says Los Angeles would not feel like home unless his long-time girlfriend Nicole joined him in the next phase of his life. Being from the South myself, I felt the warmth of their Southern Hospitality. They made me feel like an member of their big ol’ friendly family!!

On a crisp and clear afternoon in Upland, CA at the Upland Hills Country Club the friends and family of this well-loved couple gathered to celebrate their love for each other.

Laurie and Dominique exchanged vows they wrote especially for each other. From the moment they met, Laurie says she knew she could love Dominique for the rest of her life. Dominique promised to be the right partner-one who loves, comforts and protects her partner. The entire gathering got a glimpse into how the two had each others backs as they lovingly wiped errant eyelashes and tears from each other’s glowing faces.

About 135 witnesses to their love cheered them on when the rings were displayed and the deal was sealed with a kiss.

Congrats!

Roger has three weddings, one at Coyote Hills Golf Club in Fullerton, at the Double Tree in San Pedro, and at the Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach

Roger had the pleasure of marrying Jason & Katie this last weekend at the always spot on and professional Coyote Hills Golf Club in Fullerton.  It was rather fitting that Jason and Katie marry at a golf course because that met in golf college and both make their living in the world of golf !  They are a truly amazing couple who couldn’t wait for this day to happen.  They both laughed and cried during the ceremony and it was a wonderful day.  And Jason and Katie added something most unusual to their ceremony, something Roger had never heard of…. It’s called the Lovelock Tree Of Life Ceremony.  It’s presented as this beautiful framed tree that holds places for “lovelocks” that represent major moments in their lives.  The locks have no keys and cannot be opened.  Their first lock was presented by both parents and was locked onto the Tree Of Live right then and there during the ceremony.  It was a beautiful touch to a perfect wedding.

Roger had the pleasure of marrying Robert & Christine this last weekend at the Double Tree Hotel in San Pedro.  A beautiful small hotel just off the water.  And Rob & Christine, although only having a handful of guests, wanted it memorable.  Roger told them not to worry, that is the only kind of wedding he does.  And Roger had a lot of fun with this one.  You see, Robert is with the CIA and Roger asked him if he should mention that or not and Robert said he had nothing to hide ha !  So Roger pulled out the stops and gave the a fun filled wedding with lots of laughs and tears !  It truly was a perfect, intimate wedding.  And Roger passed the background check too !

Roger had his comedy skills tested that last weekend when he had the very fun job of officiating the wedding for Dennis & Krystyna at the Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach.  Now Roger knew from the first time he met with Dennis & Krystyna that Dennis was a joker…..big time !  And every time Dennis would throw out a joke at the planning meeting, Krystyna would just roll her eyes.   She was used to his comedy ways and expected no less of it at the wedding. And boy oh boy did he deliver !  All thru the ceremony Dennis had funny lines and comments, mostly only that Kyrstyna and Roger could hear, so both Krystyna and Roger had to keep their wits about them in order to get thru the wedding !  All in all, it was the perfect wedding and Dennis is missing his calling as a comedian !

Check out these three awesome weddings Roger performed

The Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills is an amazing place to marry.  It can hold hundred’s of guests for an over the top, giant wedding……..  But in Mario & Laura’s wedding, it was no more than 10 people.  Just an Intimate, family ceremony.  So why did they choose Greystone ?  It was a place that Mario would take Laura when they first started dating and they wanted to marry where it all began.  And Roger got to be part of this amazing event.

Roger was fortunate enough to be part of a picture perfect wedding this last weekend.  He married Jaime & Kara, a wonderful couple truly in love.  The wedding was held at the Eagles Nest Country Club in Cypress.  The only concern was the weather forecast……. It was predicting triple digit heat and everyone was worried that this outdoor wedding was going to be ruined…….  Well, it was either Roger’s wishing, or mother nature wanting to help, but the temperature at the venue was a comfortable level and everyone had a great time.  Not too hot at all !!

If you had to pick the perfect place for a sunset wedding, the Laguna Beach Surf & Sand Hotel up on the terrace would be in the top ten…….That is where Roger had the pleasure of marrying Darryl and Alexandria this last weekend.  And to top off this amazing wedding venue, Darryl & Alexandra told Roger that their guests were coming to party and Roger needed to bring the fun, funny and romance to their ceremony !  Boy did they come to the right guy !  Not only did Roger have the guests in stitches, but many, many heartfelt moments throughout the ceremony.  It was a perfect wedding !

Eric and Kathy invited me to celebrate their wedding this Saturday The ceremony took place in warm and sunny Santee at the Carlton Oaks Country Club

After the priest who was going to celebrate their wedding canceled on them at the last minute, Eric and Kathy invited me to celebrate their wedding this Saturday

The ceremony took place in warm and sunny Santee at the Carlton Oaks Country Club. The venue, situated about 15 minutes east of central San Diego,  I would say is sort of a hidden gem in the San Diego area.

The ceremony began as the sun dipped behind the trees leaving the grassy area where the wedding would take place in the cool shade.  The couple wanted a full and traditional Catholic Rite of Marriage Outside of Mass.  Reading were done by Kathy’s Aunt and Eric’s sister.  Kathy’s niece sang in place of the responsorial psalm.  The couple chose to use the Church’s traditional vows and, after being pronounced man and wife, enthusiastically sealed their commitment to one another with a kiss.

Jennifer and Jonathan’s wedding on 20 May 2017 was held at the Spanish Hills Country Club in Camarillo, California.

Jennifer and Jonathan’s wedding on 20 May 2017 was held at the Spanish Hills Country Club in Camarillo, California. The venue had a classic Spanish California colonial feel and is set in a lush green park-like setting bejeweled with classic Spanish architecture. The fountains and gardens are manicured and offer an elegant, yet relaxed feeling.

Steve and Teryn chose the Altadena Country Club for their day of celebration on April 1, 2017

When planning a wedding, it is important that the couple be aware of their parent’s wishes and try to accommodate them if they can, but ultimately the decisions about the ceremony are up to the bride and groom. Steve and Teryn chose the Altadena Country Club for their day of celebration on April 1, 2017.  Being an interfaith couple, Teryn, requested the pastor of her family’s church to co-officiate with Rabbi Barry.  Having never performed an interfaith ceremony, Pastor Jean was open to suggestions that would make this event all-inclusive.  However, at the last minute, Steve’s mother requested that the pastor not use certain Christian expressions as she felt they might offend their Jewish guests.  Pastor Jean was willing to honor her request, however, Steve and Teryn insisted that he use the language of his faith and to be himself. The ceremony was sweet and the pastor was sensitive to all involved. Though planning a wedding takes a village, planning a ceremony is between the bride, groom and officiant(s).
