At the beautiful Hotel Laguna, surrounded by their friends and family, Christina and Charley said, “I do.” Coming from the high desert, the ocean breeze was refreshing, offering them the perfect paradise to officially begin their lives as husband and wife. With her father nervously walking her down the aisle, Christina looked the picture of perfection, and as they approached the flower adorned gazebo, Charley greeted her. His own eyes had teared up the moment he saw her.
Both Charley and Christina know the importance of faith in their lives. Reading from Colossians they grounded their marriage in the words of Paul who reminded them to clothe themselves in love and always be grateful for the lives and love they have been given.
There were lots of laughs in their ceremony: there was a bit of difficulty getting Charley’s ring over his knuckle – the pair demonstrated their skill in working together as partners and eventually got it on! We know it’s not ever coming off! And when the time came for their sand ceremony – we all giggled a bit as they employed a ketchup bottle move, in order to get the still damp sand out of one of the bottles. Like marriage, we can make all the best plans—but things are often out of our control. Thankfully, Christina and Charley know laughter is the best way to make it through when things don’t go exactly as expected! In the end, those little moments of laughter will be memorable moments!
They were all smiles, when they were finally announced husband and wife, cheered on by their friends and family! Congratulations to the happy couple: Charley and Christina!
