Congratulations to Natalie Rajasinghe & David Richards on their February 19, 2017 wedding at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library in Yorba Linda, CA

Congratulations to Natalie Rajasinghe & David Richards on their February 19, 2017 wedding at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library in Yorba Linda, CA.  Well, the weather sure had everyone guessing these past few days — Is the ceremony outside?  Do we setup inside?  Do we build an arc?  The coordinator Jenna decided not to build the arc but to prepare for an indoor ceremony if needed and we both agreed to allow for a possible late start.  But, no rain fell on Natalie and David’s happiest day of their lives or their 220+ guests.  AND, the ceremony started at the designated start time, precisely!  Their personal vows were heartfelt and very touching and the readings by Michael and Brian were inspirational.  David got through the roller coaster ride and Natalie agreed to eat all her food (had to be there to understand)!  After the ceremony, MANY family photos were taken.  My very best to Natalie and David for a great life together!

Stunning Wedding Preformed At Black Gold Golf And Country Club In Yorba Linda CA.

1
Jason and Miosha were happily married at the Black Gold Golf and Country Club. They had a wonderful well planned, perfect and orchestrated beautiful day. Miosha's sister, Michelle is so creative and talented she transformed this venue into an intimate personal space. Using special lighting and large portraits from Jason and Mioshas travels from around the world. The room came alive with love. This is a very close loving family, son, brothers, sisters, niece's and nephew's all took part in this heartfelt ceremony.  Officiant Lisa Smith designed a perfect custom ceremony. Included were two special pomes read by sister Michelle and Miosha's Son Joshua.  Followed by a moment of silence for those loved ones whom could only be with us in memory and spirt. A traditional Mexican Lasso ceremony was then enjoyed. The ceremony then came to a close and the Mariachi's began to play!  They played a special song that Miosha's Grandfather used to sing to her when she was a child. Long into the evening the party and the magic continued. Our very best wishes and Congratulations to this lovely couple.

Mother Nature was Cooperative with An Outdoor Ceremony at East Lake Village in Yorba Linda

Starre & Danny R. - 04.25.15
Congratulations to Starre Bushey & Danny Ross on their April 25, 2015 wedding at East Lake Village in Yorba Linda, CA. The ceremony went great, bride look beautiful, music was perfect. Fortunately the weather cooperated. It was cool and breezy with lots of rain before the ceremony which almost caused implementation of the “rain plan” (move indoors). But it let up and we went with the outdoor plan with no incident!

A Warm Day for A Warm Hearted Couple at The Black Gold Golf Club in Yorba Linda

Congratulations to Julia Kan & Robert Militante on their March 21, 2015 wedding at The Black Gold Golf Club in Yorba Linda, CA. It was a beautiful day – warm, but not hot. Everything went as planned and, as usual, the Los Angeles/Orange County traffic was at its worst. The traffic never presents any surprises!  Bride and her Brides’ Maids looked beautiful (the guys didn’t look bad either). It was a very memorable event!

Julia & Robert M. - 03.21.15

Octavio had a three-fer at the end of September

1. Angelica & David got married at the First Congregational Church of Los Angeles. I had officiated there once before and it is my favorite place for weddings.

When we met they didn't have a venue so I suggested they contact Esther Manilla, the church's coordinator, and they did.

When the doors opened for Angelica and the organ started playing, it was extremely hard to hold back my tears. The feeling was overwhelming and so powerful!!!!

Angelica and David have been together for many years so it was about time for them to tie the Knott. I am honored to have been chosen to officiate their wedding and know their marriage will be for life!

David & Angelica, I wish you all the Blessings in the World!!!

2. Paulina & George tied the Knott at a beautiful home in Yorba Linda. I had a chance to socialize with their families and friends before we started the ceremony. It's always more fun once we've all gotten to know each other a bit.

Paulina & George both looked radiant!!! They chose to do our popular "Mothers Rose Presentation" which was the only Spanish portion of the ceremony. I'm very close to my mother so this add-in is one of my favorites.

George & Paulina, thank you for giving me the gift of officiating your wedding ceremony! I wish you all the Blessings in the World!!!!

3. Jason & Aimee tied the Knott at The Hurst Ranch in West Covina. This location is very rustic and resembles a Western movie set.

Jason and Aimee chose our Spiritual ceremony which is similar to the Buddhist ceremony but with several twists of course, and not mentioning the religion.

This ceremony went great with not only the couple but also the venue. It was a perfect balance where elegance and class met rustic and vintage. Very beautiful!!!

Jason & Aimee, thank you so much for giving me the honor of officiating your wedding ceremony.

I wish you all the Blessings in the World!!!!

4:20 wedding at the Crimson Mansion in Yorba Linda

Teresa and John Got married by Reverend George on Saturday at 4:20 PM. At the Crimson Mansion. What a great venue Michael the owner was friendly, helpful and gracious. The property is immaculate it looks like a model home and it is huge with both a full tennis court and a swimming pool with a cabana.

Teresa asked me to honor her mother and her sister who had gone on before her. I was pleased to honor both these woman as Teresa asked. There is always a first time for everything and I am not sure exactly what happened as we were saying the vows I think I forgot to say please repeat after me and as i was saying I Teresa take you John to be my husband Teresa said I do. I went on thinking she would catch on but like a train off track the farther I went the more yes’s and I do’s I heard til she said wait! I stopped we laughed and she said she was sorry. i said no it was my fault and we got it all on the video. I started over she repeated after me and we all got married. The weather was hot and we were treated to the music of Peggy who sang and played piano.

The videographer was a real pro as he asked me to help him line up his shot. The photographer was great as I offered to take a step back so he could shoot the kiss, he asked if I could also take a step to the side.

It was so much fun being able to announce the new couple and then direct the audience to the cabana for cocktails, adult libations, drinks and refreshments. I fine time was had by all.

Roger’s Hawaiian Wedding and Total Eclipse of the Sun Wedding

They say the highest compliment you can pay to a performer is a standing ovation…..and Roger almost got it with his Hawaiian wedding on Saturday at the beautiful Point Fermin Lighthouse in San Pedro….. Not because it was a fantastic ceremony (which it was) or that the entire wedding party thought he did an amazing job (which he did), but because the company that the bride and groom hired to supply the chairs didn’t arrive till 5 minutes after the wedding was suppose to start !!! Roger, being the trooper he is, calmed the bride down and helped the frazzled chair guy unload the chairs and then it was wedding on !!! So almost a standing ovation because of no chairs !! Roger will take it as his own !!

Roger had a great wedding today at the always beautiful Nixon Library in Yorba Linda. It was a great day to get married except for one thing…… Today happens to be an annular eclipse of the sun which means the suns rays are very hard on the eyes and the entire wedding was set up facing the afternoon sun !! It was too late to change the venue direction, so with the entire wedding party shielding their eyes with their very handy wedding programs, Roger breezed thru the wedding !! Of course he didn’t have a problem with the sun, he was the ONLY person facing away from it !!!
