From Nashville,Tennessee to Malibu, California

woody1
Woody performed a beautiful walk on ceremony in Malibu for this wonderful couple.

They are originally from California, so they traveled all the way from Nashville to get married, toes in the sand, at Point Dume.

With the waves crashing along the rocks, and the cliff as a backdrop, the couple exchanged vows and i dos.

They had a couple’s rose exchange, a perfect first gift for their married life together.

Lana Farfan from Caught in the Moment Photography captured this beautiful moment.

SAM_1693
What do you get when you combine Rev. Woody, Wedding Coordinator Samantha from La Bella Dia (LaBellaDia.com), Kara from VOX DJ’s (voxdjs.com), Grace from Tea Rose Gardens Florist (tearosegarden.com), and Brooke from Brook Aliceon Photography ( brookealiceon.com)? You get a picture-perfect ceremony.

What if you add in beautiful California weather, Valentine’s Day, and Castle Green (castlegreen.com)? You get a couple’s ULTIMATE DREAM WEDDING!!

This is what Queenie and Joseph basked in on Valentine’s Day at the historic Castle Green in Pasadena. Woody constructed one of his famous interfaith Christian-Jewish ceremonies incorporating elements of both Faiths, including a reading from 1st Corinthians as well as the crushing of the glass.

Check out Woody’s “old-school” selfie in the mirror, as well as the photos of this 117 year old mansion.

A Roller Coaster Ride of Emotions with Woody at the Oviatt Penthouse

SAM_1679
Woody recently had the honor of officiating the wedding ceremony of Dominique and Elvin at the historic art deco Oviatt Penthouse which opened in 1928 and has since been renovated to it’s original charm. At one time, this was the tallest building in Los Angeles. As you can see from the photos, this is no longer the case.

Woody’s ceremony included the couple’s courtship story, a Hand Blessing, as well as he Bride and Groom doing their own vows which made each other tear up, as well as Woody and the Guests. To add to this was a string quartet which included two of Elvin’s Friends from work.

The photo of Woody and our couple after the ceremony show the emotion exhaustion of the ceremony. A Guest said to Woody afterwards: “Your ceremony was like a roller coaster…….I laughed, I cried, and then I wanted to do it all over again.”

It was another picture-perfect beach wedding for Woody and his couple Monica and Brandon on the Redondo Beach.

Either this couple plans on taking Woody with them on their honeymoon, or Woody just spotted a shark. It was another picture-perfect beach wedding for Woody and his couple Monica and Brandon on the Redondo Beach. This was a walk-on wedding with no set up, and included their custom courtship story as well as a Hawaiian lei ceremony. ALOHA!

We want to kiss right at sunset” at Gladstone’s in Malibu

SAM_1658
“We want to kiss right at sunset” was the instructions given to Woody by Tatiana and Stephen. With Woody’s skills…..this is exactly what happened. Tatiana and Stephen had a Catholic Lite ceremony, which included their own vows which filled the beach behind Gladstone’s restaurant in Malibu with tears and laughter. And yes….the kiss was right at sunset.

Under the Oak Tree in Agoura Hills

Ring Exchange
Woody had the honor of performing Alexandra and Steven’s wedding this weekend under an oak tree at the Cheeseboro Park in Agoura Hills. As a matter of fact, it was under two oak trees. The two trees came together to form what Woody calls: “Nature’s Cathedral.” The branches on either side almost hit the ground, and when the sun came through, it was like stained-glass.

Woody custom wrote a nature-themed wedding for nature-lovers, Alexandra and Steven. Woody started the ceremony out by saying: “As we stand here under this centuries-old oak tree, I’d like to start out by saying that every oak tree started out as a couple of nuts, who decided to stand their ground. During the ceremony the couple exchanged their own vows as well as had a Couples Rose Exchange. Woody concluded the ceremony with a quote from Louis de Bernieres: “May your roots grow towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms fall from your branches, you find that you are one tree, and not two.”

Early Monday morning the Bride wrote:

“Hi Woody,

Thank you so much for a beautiful wedding ceremony. It all went off without a hitch! Didn’t I tell you those oak trees were magnificent?! Here are a few photos from the ceremony. Feel free to use them for your portfolio if you’d like.

All the best,

Ali”

Another picture-perfect wedding for Woody!
