Roger had the honor of marrying Andrew & Janet on the water at the amazing Gondola Getaways in Long Beach

Roger had the honor of marrying Andrew & Janet this last weekend at a wedding venue that was a bit different than your regular wedding venue………. On the water !!  And when Roger says on the water, he truly means it !  It was at the amazing Gondola Getaways in Long Beach.  Truly an amazing, romantic ride in the Long Beach harbor for any occasion but this was extra special because Andrew and Janet were getting married on the Gondola !  And it was actually two gondolas !  They had charted the two largest gondolas, the Carolinas that held a dozen or so people each.  So after a short boat ride thru the harbor, our oarsmen found the perfect place to conduct the ceremony and it was game on !  While the two boats floated side by side; one boat for Roger, the bride and groom and the bridal party and the other boat for guests, Roger and Andrew & Janet stood and Roger married them !  It was incredibly romantic, fun and mother nature came thru with warm weather and blue skies !  It truly was the Love Boat !

Roger had the honor of marrying Paul & Lori at the Brea Community Center this last weekend

Roger had the honor of marrying Paul & Lori at the Brea Community Center this last weekend.  They are a sweet couple, perfect for each other, and their pride and joy is their little dog Rocky who was to be the ring bearer in the bridal procession.  So during the processional, just before the bride Lori is to come out…… no Rocky !!!  So eventually Lori comes out and the wedding goes off without a hitch.  After the wedding, Roger asked Lorie and Paul what happened to Rocky and apparently the pressure was to much for the little guy and he did not want to come out !  But all in all, a great wedding !

Roger married an adorable couple this last weekend at the Mission Inn in Riverside

rogerharryjoy3
Roger married an adorable couple this last weekend.  They are Harry & Joy and they chose to marry at the Mission Inn in Riverside.  For those of you that are not familiar with this most amazing venue, it started out as a small cottage in 1876….that’s right…..over 140 years old !

Harry & Joy chose the chapel to marry in and it was a good choice, not only for it’s beauty, but everyone could escape the rain that seemed to persist this last weekend.  Overall, a beautiful day !

Roger had the honor of marrying Greg & Shana this last weekend at the always wonderful wedding venue, The Reef in Long Beach

rogergregandshana
Roger had the honor of marrying Greg & Shana this last weekend at the always wonderful wedding venue, The Reef in Long Beach.  Greg & Shana had planned everything out perfectly, a great wedding venue, getting married at sunset, a full bridal party, ring bearer and a flower girl….everything !  In fact, the ring bearer and flower girl would be his kids who would participate in the wedding.  Well, the day of the wedding, everything was moving along smoothly, as everyone got ready for the big moment.  Just prior to starting, Greg the groom comes up to Roger and tells him that his kids would rather not participate (stage fright) !!!   But Greg and Roger also knew that Shana the bride REALLY wanted to walk down upon the red rose petals they had worked so hard to prepare….  So what does an officiant do in a case like this, he gets creative….  Roger walks up to the three groomsmen and makes them an offer they cant refuse…. You see, the groomsmen were not walking out with the bridesmaids but with just the three of themselves…. so they took on double duty and became the “flower girl groomsmen” !!  It was perfect !  And now these three groomsmen can check that off their bucket list !!

Roger had the honor of marrying Newton & Nicole at the always beautiful Champions Club in Corona

newtoniniceolroger
Roger had the honor of marrying Newton & Nicole this last weekend at the always beautiful Champions Club in Corona.   This venue is a perfect place for a wedding.  Gorgeous sweeping views, incredibly professional staff….a picture perfect place for a wedding.  And this particular day was perfect…. blue skies, not too warm, not too cool…. Everything was exactly what a young bride and groom would want for their wedding day….. except for the pesky guests that were certainly not invited…..  This particular day, the bride, groom and Roger were bombarded with gnats !!  That’s right, a swarm of gnats wanted to be part of the ceremony and they made their presence known !  During the entire ceremony, the poor bride and groom were swatting them away, but not Roger.  Even though they were landing on his face the entire time, not once did Roger flinch or swipe them away !  Roger, always the consummate professional didn’t want to compromise anything and he held tough !  The ceremony went off without a hitch (except for the gnats) !  After the ceremony, Roger had many guests comment to him that not once did he move during the gnat attack !

Touche’ Roger !!

Edwin and Patricia were married at the Westminster Manor in Westminster by Roger

rogeredwinpatricia
Roger had the great honor of marrying Edwin & Patricia this last weekend at the historical Westminster Manor.  From the very first time Patricia reached out to Roger, she had told him that she “just knew” that Roger would be the person to give them their perfect wedding.  And that is exactly what Roger wanted to give them.  He took plenty of notes and carefully crafted the perfect ceremony for a couple that truly deserved it !!

Here’s what Patricia sent to Roger after their wedding.

“Hi Roger,

There isn’t a word that can best describe how wonderful you are.  For some reason, I felt you were the one, my heart just told me or maybe my mom had a hand in it. Together, we worked out the date so that you would be the one performing our ceremony.  You even offered to have someone else step in but we figured it out and I am so glad we did. You had everyone going through all the emotions… laughing, crying and falling in love.  From the bottom of our heart, Ed and I thank you for giving us such a wonderful ceremony.

Thank you so much!

Patricia and Edwin.”

And here’s what Patricia sent to Alan Katz, owner of Great Officiants.

“Hi Alan,

I was married this past Saturday and the ceremony was performed by Roger. After reading Rogers profile, I felt he was a perfect fit.  Ed and I met Roger before our ceremony to go over details and fun facts.  We left our meeting feeling even more sure that we had made the right decision.
The Ceremony Roger performed was so much more that I could have ever asked or dream about.   Roger had the whole room laughing, crying, and falling in love all over again.  Words can’t properly express just how great Roger was at performing my ceremony.  I am fortunate to have to have found your website and feel so blessed to have had Roger performing our ceremony.  Roger definitely made my wedding ceremony a memorable one.

Thank you so much!

Patricia. “

The Lucky Ones Receive A Sign………..

roger-chris-liz4
Roger had the honor of marrying Chris & Liz this last weekend on the beach of Corona Del Mar in Newport Beach.  This was not Roger’s first wedding on that particular beach.  In fact he has done over a dozen weddings on that very same beach.  But this wedding stood out over all the others……… all because of a sign…………

People always talk about “receiving a sign” when it comes to those major decisions in life.  And some people will even “stretch” a particular sign to fit their decision.  Very seldom does that “sign” absolutely, 100% give you an answer for what you were looking for……..  Well, this last Saturday, that sign happened for Chris & Liz.  First of all, Chris & Liz are deeply in love and perfect for each other.  Roger knew that about them from the first time he met them.  He knew that this was going to be a special wedding and he really wanted to make it one of a kind…..  What Roger didn’t know was that Mother Nature was already going to do that for him……..….   Chris & Liz had chosen to have a morning wedding at 9:30am this last Saturday.  Roger told them he would get there extra early to help direct everyone to the ceremony area.  When he got down to the beach, everything was all set up and ready to go.  They also had set up a table with a flower vase.  Roger then noticed there was also a single red rose sitting on the table along with a piece of dried seaweed.  Roger didn’t give it any thought and just assumed that it was decorations for the table…….  Well, a few minutes later, Chris the groom come’s up to Roger and tells him he wanted to show him something.  It turns out that Chris and his two brothers had gone down to the beach very early in that morning to set up their area and get things ready for the ceremony.  And right where they had decided to hold the ceremony, were two items floating in the beach wash……. One was a single red rose, a little worse for wear, but none the less, a red rose.  Now if that wasn’t enough of a sign, floating right next to that rose was a piece of dried seaweed…….in the shape of a heart !  There are no two items that represent love more that a red rose and a heart……and both of them were there, right where they chose to have the wedding ceremony.  Chris then asked if it would be at all possible for Roger to share this with their guests, this amazing sign……  Roger said “absolutely, everyone needs to know this” !!  Roger immediately made that his opening words for the ceremony.  It was one of the most emotional openings he has ever done and there was not a dry eye among the 50 or so guests there.  Roger, the couple Chris & Liz and their guests will always remember that the lucky ones receive a sign.
