Congratulations to Renee Yip & Ken Chen on their March 11, 2017 wedding at the Hilton Universal City in Universal City, CA

Congratulations to Renee Yip & Ken Chen on their March 11, 2017 wedding at the Hilton Universal City in Universal City, CA.  It was a beautiful day for a ceremony on the rooftop terrace overlooking the city.  The string quartet added an eloquent touch for an already “classy” ceremony.  The “Ave Maria” during the Rose Presentation to Renee and Ken’s moms was a great choice.  Planner Jackie Tan and her team did a great job putting everything together with perfection.  My best to the newlyweds!

Congratulations to Christina Hueso and Maulin Soneji on their August 7, 2016 wedding at the Fullerton Arboretum at Cal State Fullerton in Fullerton, CA

Christina & Maulin S. - 08.07.16
Congratulations to Christina Hueso and Maulin Soneji on their August 7, 2016 wedding at the Fullerton Arboretum at Cal State Fullerton in Fullerton, CA.  The setting there is always beautiful and serine – back to nature!  The ceremony in the midst of the trees, greenery and wildlife, with guests sheltered from the elements.  They added the sand ceremony and a presentation to Christina’s son, Sebastian by Maulin.  The rose presentation to their moms was very heartfelt and touching.  The ceremony was the perfect blend and coming together of very different cultures in a very beautiful way.  My best to Dr. & Mrs. Soneji as they head to the Mideast to begin their new life with a hopeful return to California in a few years.

Congratulations to Sandra Lozano & David Escoto on their July 3, 2016 wedding at a private residence in Fontana, CA

DSCN5270
It was a typical warn Fontana day with a mild warm wind (not strong enough to blow anything into the pool).  Guests were seated in the traditional ceremony setting with chairs arranged on the dance floor as well as at their reception tables.  The backdrop was a handmade machete wall of red roses.  They had a DJ for the reception and  mariachis played for the ceremony.  Everything went well, guests were ready for a great evening.  The Rose ceremony was a touching, emotional moment for Sandra (in the absence of her mom) but she got through it like a champ and was so very glad we included that special moment in the ceremony – something else she will cherish for a lifetime!

A Beautiful Beach Backdrop Bilingual Ceremony

IMG_0616
Rajah & Camilo tied the knot at The Malibu Beach Club off the PCH with a beautiful ocean backdrop. Rajah is Philippine and Camilo Hispanic so it was essential for them and for their families and friends to have a bilingual ceremony.

We worked together to design a perfect and well-balanced ceremony so that everybody could feel part of it and understand the beautiful message behind it. We incorporated the mothers rose presentation in both English and Spanish and also the butterfly release right before the pronouncement.

It was the first time I had ever done a butterfly release as usually my couples replace the butterflies with bubbles. It was absolutely beautiful and no butterflies were hurt! Instead of flying away they all flew towards the orchids that surrounded us and posed there for all to take pictures! They could clearly feel the love in the air and did not want to leave the atmosphere!

Rajah & Camilo are big fans of the famous book "The Little Prince" so they asked me to incorporate into their ceremony a reading from the book. I rehearsed it a few times before their wedding so that it would come out beautifully. To my surprise it almost brought tears to their eyes as I read the beautiful words. I was very happy with the outcome of the ceremony! And of course I absolutely adore this happy couple!

Rajah & Camilo I send you both all my love, hugs, blessings, and best wishes in the world!

A Wonderful Ceremony at The Champions Club in Temescal Valley

Bianca & Rodrigo G. - 07.02.15
Congratulations to Bianca Trujillo & Rodrigo Garcia on their July 2, 2015 ceremony at The Champions Club at The Retreat in Temescal Valley (formally Corona), CA.  The ceremony was “short and sweet” and exactly what the couple expected.  Music and sound was perfect, as was the venue and scenery.  Weather cooperated, with its “no surprise” California heatSand ceremony went well and moms were honored with the rose presentation

Stephanie and Erick tied the knot at Twin Oaks House & Gardens in San Marcos

IMG_0510
Stephanie and Erick tied the knot at Twin Oaks House & Gardens in San Marcos. This venue is now officially on my top five list due to its breathtakingly gorgeous gardens, pathways, fountains, and all around vintage look!

Erick & Stephanie are just so sweet! I fell in love with them from the moment we met a year before their wedding! I designed a Spanish Catholic ceremony with the Mothers Rose presentation, the lasso ritual, and the coin ceremony. Like most couples they were a little nervous before the ceremony since it was going to be a bit longer than usual and they didn't want to have to memorize anything. I eased their nerves by telling them that there was absolutely nothing they needed to memorize or remember as I would walk them and guide them throughout the entire ceremony step-by-step. At the end they were so happy and grateful and thanked me for making it so easy for them.

It was truly a blessing for me to be able to officiate their wedding ceremony! Erick and Stephanie I wish you both nothing but love and all the blessings in the world! Thank you so much for giving me the honor of officiating your wedding! God bless you guys!

Octavio performs Three Bilingual Ceremonies Across the County!

1
Jake & Maria got married at the Rose Garden in downtown LA. This is such a beautiful location, and it is so big that it's very easy to have a private ceremony even if the park is crowded.

Jake & Maria wanted a bilingual ceremony but Jake doesn't speak or understand much Spanish. In these situations we can still do a bilingual ceremony but since most of it is for the couple to understand I have to be careful and not translate too much so that both of them understand the message we dedicate to them.

Jake brought a wireless speaker which I used to control the music and a tripod to record the ceremony with this phone. When I saw him setting up the phone and tripod I offered to use my phone since it records at 60 frames per second. I gave him a little sample video so that he could see the quality and he was sold!

We used my phone to record the entire ceremony which lasted 15 minutes. Their ceremony was slightly bilingual and we did our "My Favorite" ceremony. They also wrote their own vows, which by the way were absolutely beautiful and touching, and I introduced the "Best Woman," who is Jake's best friend, to come up and dedicate a beautiful and heartfelt message for the happy couple!

Jake and Maria are such a sweet couple and they clearly love each other so much! I wish you guys all the blessings in the world and send you all my love!

Ana Arely & Mario tied the knot at Hurst Ranch in West Covina. I've done several weddings at this location and they have all been outdoors. But this one was held indoors in their big ballroom. This was wonderful because the couple wanted to keep the ceremony traditional and we did not want to replace the unity candle with the sand ceremony.

We met a few months before the wedding and I fell absolutely in love with them! Mario & Ana Arely are the kind of people that just make you feel as part of their family from the minute they meet you and hug you. When I arrived to their wedding they gave me the same kind of love. It was so cool!

We did our Catholic Lite ceremony with the Coin, Lasso, and Unity Candle entirely in Spanish. The couple were so happy and are so in love that they could not contain their tears. It was so touching to see tears of joy and love!

Mario & Ana Arely, you guys are such an amazing couple and have such kind souls!!!! We need more people like you in this world! I wish you both all the blessings in the world and send you all my love and hugs!

Words cannot begin to describe how much I love Andrea and Bryan! This is one of the couples that I have worked with the most as we were in constant communication from the moment we met up until the day of their wedding. And they were both always in such a happy and excited mood!

Their wedding and reception took place at Porter Valley Country Club in Northridge. This was my first wedding at that location and it is absolutely gorgeous! I would love to do more weddings there!

I have such a special bond with this couple and when I got to their wedding I bonded exactly the same way with their parents! Both of their parents are so cool and so much fun! I would've loved to stay for the reception and spend more time with them and their families!

As you can see in the picture Andrea and Bryan looked like Hollywood royalty, even when they are not dressed for a wedding! I felt like I was marrying two models taken out of a Vogue magazine!

The ceremony was a bilingual Catholic Lite and we also incorporated the Mothers Rose presentation and the Lasso ritual. Every word that came out of my mouth was incredibly heartfelt as I had the privilege of enjoying the love they have for one another through their eyes, smiles, and tears of joy!

Andrea & Bryan, I am honored and forever grateful that you guys granted me the opportunity to officiate your wedding ceremony and be a part of such an amazing love story! I wish you both all the blessings in the world and send you all my love and hugs!
