Congratulations to Emily Burchett & Richard Egerton on their intimate August 25, 2016 wedding at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort and Spa in Dana Point, CA.  It was a beautiful California day for this United Kingdom couple.  Most of their family and guests traveled a great distance to celebrate this special day with them, and the outcome was perfect in every way!  The look on Emily’s face and the sincere joy and gratitude the couple expressed was priceless, as is the memories they will take home with them to begin their beautiful life together.  I was so honored to be a part of their special day.  My very best to a very beautiful couple.

A quaint, romantic wedding at an amazing venue…….

rogerjontanya1
Roger married Jon & Tanya this last Saturday down in Dana Point at the Blue Lantern Inn which is an amazing wedding venue.  It was just Jon, Tanya and a handful of guests.  It was held outside just before sunset with a small gathering, truly an intimate setting and Roger gave them a wonderful ceremony.  So much, the very next day he received a thank you note from the bride Tonya.

Roger I just wanted to thank you so much for an amazing ceremony yesterday!  You did perfect!!  We couldn’t be happier!!!  So many people commented on how well you did.  It had the perfect amount of seriousness and also humor.  We loved it!!

Thank you for being part of our special day. It means a lot that you made it perfect. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!!!

Congratulations to Adee Smit & David Matl on their May 9, 2015 wedding at the Dana Point Palisades Gazebo in Dana Point, CA.  After a well-needed day of rain, the weather was perfect for this wedding with a beautiful view of the Pacific.  Everything went as planned for this small but meaningful ceremony.

A Threepeat for Greg

Officiant Greg had the honor of marrying Glenn and Renee at the fabulous Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes on September 27th, 2014.  The ceremony was held on the lawn directly outside the happy couple's gorgeous ocean-view bungalow at the resort.

The weather was perfect and the view of the Pacific Ocean was the perfect backdrop for the ceremony.  Glenn looked handsome in his Hawaiian-style shirt and Renee was beautiful in her wedding dress.

Greg's wife Beth, also an Officiant, supplied the flowers, Renee's bouquet and Glenn's Ti Leaf Lei.  She also was the "guest musician", playing the Conch shell in the Hawaiian custom prior to the ceremony.  The blowing of the Conch shell signals the beginning of a new voyage, as well as scaring off evil spirits (and troublesome relatives).

Renee and Glenn's family, friends and relatives greatly enjoyed the ceremony and reception.  All were very happy and full of fun and jubilation.  They were all truly great and fun people.

Greg, Beth and all the Officiants and staff at Great Officiants congratulate Renee and Glenn on their marriage, and wish them much Love and happiness in their future together.

Officiant Greg had the honor of marrying Alexander and Stephanie at the beautiful Tustin Ranch Golf Club on October 4, 2014.  The ceremony was held in the garden overlooking the golf course with a fabulous view.

The weather was perfect, but a little hot!  Stephanie was stunning in her wedding dress and Alexander was very handsome in his tuxedo.

The couple exchanged personal vows which were very heartfelt and dear.  Greg's ceremony was fun and romantic as always. Many of the happy couple's guests complemented him on how much they enjoyed the ceremony.

All of Stephanie and Alexander's friends and relatives had a great time, and I am sure the fun continued at their reception held at the Tustin Ranch Golf Club.

Thanks to Kim Herbert, the wedding coordinator at the Tustin Ranch Golf Club, for her professional assistance and help.

Greg and all the Officiants and staff at Great Officiants congratulate Stephanie and Alexander on their marriage, and wish them much Love and happiness in their future together.

Officiant Greg had the honor of marrying Melissa and Robert at the striking Cannons Restaurant in Dana Point, California on October 18th, 2014.  The ceremony was outside with the most commanding view of Dana Point harbor and the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean.

The weather was absolutely perfect, period.  What a wonderful venue.  A stunning view for the ceremony, perfect weather and the reception is in the same location!

Melissa was beautiful in her wedding dress and Robert was very handsome and dashing in his tuxedo.

Greg's ceremony was fun and romantic as always.  The  ceremony went very well except for a few stubborn butterflies during their release.  That was great fun.  Many of the happy couple's guests complemented Greg on how much they enjoyed the ceremony.

All of Melissa and Rob's family (many who had traveled from Missouri for the wedding) and friends had a great time, and I'm sure the fun continued at their reception at Cannons.

Thanks to Lisa at Cannons for her for her professional assistance and help.

Greg and all the Officiants and staff at Great Officiants congratulate Melissa and Robert on their marriage, and wish them much Love and happiness in their future together.

Beautiful Malibu, Redondo Beach and Dana Point Ceremonies!

FotorAVY1AB

With much business about the rain- will it or won’t it – everyone opted for setting up outside. The staff at Cannons Seafood Grill, in Dana Point, did an amazing last minute job of setting up, drying up and putting up a fantastic site for Sara and Mark’s ceremony. The couple was extremely happy for the perfectly timed break in the rain and to have a fun, romantic and meaningful ceremony. Lots of smiling, laughing, dancing (or something that may have been dancing) and even a few fist pumps; that was the couple DURING the ceremony! Great way to start a Saturday afternoon and a lifetime of happy marriage!

Blog-Octavio1
Great Officiant Octavio married Aurora and John at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu. He wrote us the following piece:

“What a gorgeous location for a wedding! This is a very special couple for me. We have a bond unlike any other. I guess it’s mainly because outside of their wedding, we would most likely be friends. If I could, I would marry them every weekend for the rest of my life! Many blessings to you my dears!”

FotorAVY2ABC
With lots of anxiety Anthony plodded along the erratic 405 from Dana Point, which started late due to rain, getting ever closer to the start time for Jillian and Robert. With a cool fifteen minutes to spare, I walked into the Crowne Plaza in Redondo Beach and saw a wonderful Chuppah with lovely flowers. The patio area lines with decorated chairs, everything looking perfect. The couple, family and wedding party were all having fun, laughing, joking and ready to “get married”! The rain stayed down south and only showed hints of making an appearance well after the ceremonies’ end. Including prayer, the Chuppah and the stomping of the glass at the end – all around fantastic blended faith event!

Great Officiant Michael Has Been Popular this Wedding Season!!

Great Officiant Michael is always very sought out after! Here are some of his weddings highlighting ceremonies in Los Angeles and Orange County. Congratulations on being such a wonderful Officiant!

David & Jessica

Married at Pickwick Gardens in Burbank, CA On June 11,2014

David and Jessica

David and Jessica were such a lovely couple to work!  I had the honor of telling their love story to their family and friends and closing out their wedding with a traditional Jewish Glass Breaking. They also chose to both repeat vows after me and write further personal notes to each other – something I’m noticing a lot of couples starting to do now, allowing for both a sense of tradition and personalization.

I was overjoyed to be a part of their ceremony and wish them all my best.

Karen & Jeremy

Married at Ramsey’s at The Club– Los Angeles on June 14, 2014

kevin and jeannette_2

Karen and Jeremy were a dream couple to work with.  We met a couple months prior to their ceremony over sushi to get to know each other and put together a ceremony including exactly what they wanted.  On the day-of, right before the ceremony, I was joking with the best man that when I ask him for the rings he should throw them at me as hard as he can and we’ll just see what happens.  Well during the ceremony he took the opportunity to get me back.  Unbeknownst to me, when I asked for the rings he instead took out a quarter and threw it at me!  I was shocked thinking he actually threw the rings and everyone in attendance broke out in a huge round of laughter.

At the end of their ceremony, Karen and Jeremy saluted each other with a special toast – a tradition that they have between the two of them – a perfect way to end a perfect ceremony.

Afterwards, they were so kind to leave the following review for us:

“Our Officiant was Michael Thieling. Our actual ceremony was short and sweet but thanks to Michael very memorable. One of the most heard comments from our guests was regarding how great our Officiant was and we couldn’t agree more. Thank you Michael for helping to make our wedding such a wonderful event for us and our guests!”

Thank you both for the memories and a ceremony moment I’ll never forget!!!

John and Marla

john and marla_2

John and Marla got married in a small, intimate ceremony surrounded by family at the quaint Blue Lantern Inn in Dana Point.  When I first met them a few months prior to their ceremony, we gathered at the venue to discuss their ceremony and I was able to make some suggestions to change the actual ceremony location within the venue to allow for better pictures and a more open experience.

They capped their ceremony off with a Love Letter and Wine Box ceremony and after their nuptials they were off to celebrate with a family dinner next door.

All our best John and Marla!

Jamie and Wade

Jamie and Wade were a dream couple to work with.  Since they were coming from Florida, we did all of their ceremony planning over the phone – something I’m very used to doing with the many out-of-state couples that we have the pleasure of working with.

The Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach provided an amazing venue for their wedding – big enough for their many guests but extremely private and intimate so that you felt like no one else was there except for the wedding guests.  We performed a short acknowledgement of family for some of their loved ones who had passed and had a guest recite First Corinthians. After they exchanged rings, Jamie and Wade performed a lovely Unity Candle ceremony with a customized candle.

After the ceremony, they had the following to say:

“Great Officiant!!! Michael Thieling was our Officiant for our ceremony. He exceeded our expectations!! From the first conversation we had, he made me feel very at ease and seemed to get the couple that my husband and I are right from the start. He had great contact leading up to our wedding and was a complete pleasure to work with. Also, he added a bit of light heartedness to the ceremony when he knew it could be used, which is what made our wedding simply epic!!!!

Thank you, Michael!!!!”

Thank you so much Jamie and Wade – it was my pleasure!
