The Ring Bearer Stole the show………

Roger had the pleasure of officiating the wedding of Justin & Jhoanna at the Green River Golf Course in Corona this last weekend.  This was Roger’s first time there and hopefully won’t be the last.  The venue was beautiful and the staff were spot on !  Everything was planned and organized except for one wild card………. Their ring bearer was going to be their dog Square.  A beautiful boy who loves his mommy & daddy very much.  He was to walk down the aisle and deliver the rings to Roger.  Now generally when dogs are involved (and this happens quite a bit), someone walks the dog down the aisle on leash to make sure he or she does not get distracted while delivering the precious cargo.  And Roger being a giant dog lover himself (three English Bulldogs), is always on board for a dog being part of the action!  So in the wedding planning meeting (where Roger got to meet Square), Roger suggested the leash and Justin said “no worries, he will come straight to his dad”.  Well Roger had to defer to Justin who knew Square better than anyone and went with it.  So on the wedding day, after the bridal party had made their way up the very long aisle to the alter…..they unhook Square from his leash and this beautiful dog comes running full steam  DIRECTLY UP THE AISLE !!  He ran right up to his dad and sat down. Never once veering off track and his responsibility ! It was amazing !  Good boy !!!  And to top off this amazing dog’s performance, he sat down between Justin & Jhoanna thru the entire ceremony.  He was perfect and the wedding was perfect !!

Roger had the honor of marrying Newton & Nicole at the always beautiful Champions Club in Corona

Roger had the honor of marrying Newton & Nicole this last weekend at the always beautiful Champions Club in Corona.   This venue is a perfect place for a wedding.  Gorgeous sweeping views, incredibly professional staff….a picture perfect place for a wedding.  And this particular day was perfect…. blue skies, not too warm, not too cool…. Everything was exactly what a young bride and groom would want for their wedding day….. except for the pesky guests that were certainly not invited…..  This particular day, the bride, groom and Roger were bombarded with gnats !!  That’s right, a swarm of gnats wanted to be part of the ceremony and they made their presence known !  During the entire ceremony, the poor bride and groom were swatting them away, but not Roger.  Even though they were landing on his face the entire time, not once did Roger flinch or swipe them away !  Roger, always the consummate professional didn’t want to compromise anything and he held tough !  The ceremony went off without a hitch (except for the gnats) !  After the ceremony, Roger had many guests comment to him that not once did he move during the gnat attack !

Touche’ Roger !!

Congratulations to Karolina Montenegro & Eric Bashore on their April 16, 2016 wedding at the Eagle Glen Golf Club

Karolina & Eric B. - 04.16.16
Congratulations to Karolina Montenegro & Eric Bashore on their April 16, 2016 wedding at the Eagle Glen Golf Club in Eagle Glen (Corona), CA.  It was a great day for a wedding, although it got a little hot in Corona.  The beautiful setting made one quickly forget the heat, as they took in the view and were inspired by the words of the officiant and moved by the touching personal vows of the Karolina and Eric to each other.  The laughter caused by the “light humor” throughout the ceremony was very much welcome, topped only by the “Dishwasher Detergent” comment by the groom!  The couple will continue on to their short “mini honeymoon” to Northern California before their trip to France and Italy in the summer.  My very best to the happy couple for whom I was honored to officiate.

Gail and Anthony were married at the rustic, Spanish-style Wedgewood at the Retreat in Corona, CA. We began the ceremony so the sun could slowly set and illuminate their tear-filled eyes as they finalized their vows. After being together for over 12 years, they nearly jumped for joy after they shared the kiss that showed how deeply they cared for each other. Their friends and family in attendance also got a little rowdy in showing their joy for the newlyweds!

A Relaxing and Enjoyable Ceremony at the Green River Golf Club in Corona

Jennifer & Cameron R. - 08.08.15
Congratulations to Jennifer Rogers & Cameron Rice on their August 8, 2015 wedding at the Green River Golf Club in Corona, CA.  Everything went as planned with guests relaxed and enjoying the ceremony.  Unfortunately the candles refused to stay lit, but being close to the “happiest place on earth,” we imagined that they were.  They did a “twist” to the rose presentation by presenting their parents with matted pictures.  My best to the happy Palm Springs area couple who said it felt like winter in Corona!

Three different couples… three different ceremonies…all ending with a wonderful kiss.

My day today was filled with wonder and happiness. My three big weddings crisscrossed across Orange County and Riverside County.

The first one was at Coyote Hills Golf Club in Fullerton.  A wonderful and shy couple we're surrounded by beautiful flowers and music from a quartet.

The second was down on Little Corona Del Mar beach. The tide was going out in the rocky shore was appearing. I did a wonderful loving ceremony celebrating their believes in God and each other.

The third one was a Green River Golf Club in Corona. I did a wonderful custom written ceremony for them. During the ceremony it was interrupted by two different trains passing by. I incorporated them into the ceremony so everything would stay on track. Chuckle chuckle .

On either side of the three appointments I had to marriage license appointments. It was a wonderful and full day. I love days like this.
