A tale of three beaches Laguna Hermosa and Malibu

Today I transversed Southern California’s beach communities.

My first wedding today was at the beautiful Tivoli Terrace in Laguna Beach. I love this place and I have a beautiful wedding chapel above their ceremony site.

Next I was off to her most of beach where we wanted out to the sand with 30 of their friends and did delightful ceremony right on the beach.

Then the trip down to Malibu to one of my favorite spots Point Dume.
With waves crashing in the background and surrounded by 35 of their favorite friends and family they exchange vows and rings and a beautiful spot right at the point.

It’s been a long day but when I look at the sun setting in the background over the ocean it’s been well worth it. I made three families very happy today and that’s why I do what I do.

“Footman Bring The Rings” at this Disney wedding

One of my favorite things about doing a Disney wedding is when the couple hires the coach and horses from Cinderella.

The bride arrives in the coach and the footman helps her down off the coach and then she’s escorted down the aisle by her chosen family member.

At the point of the ceremony where it’s time for the rings I yell out “Footman Bring The Rings”. He then walks down the aisle with a pillow holding a glass slipper which hold the rings.

At the end of the ceremony after the kiss the bride and groom walk the carriage get in and are whisked away around the grounds to spend their special moments together.

It is so romantic!!

Ralph battles the bugs to get to the vows

Rev. Ralph officiated at the wedding of Leah and Andrew at the beautiful Calamigos Ranch in Malibu on Saturday June 23. A string trio set the mood and a joyful and fun gathering of friends and family (not to mention numerous little bugs) all enjoyed the ceremony. The sand ceremony which was included had a unique twist: the sand was poured, not into another glass vessel, but into a hollow picture frame with a photo of the bride and groom in it–the sand made a lovely backdrop!

Tim says…Australia and England Meet in Los Angeles!

Congratulations to Howard and Michelle who renewed their wedding vows today after 15 years of marriage. They did so in the pines of Griffith Park just under the gorgeous architecture of the Observatory, with a large crowd watching from above. The Bride's Father and Brother surprised her from England just before the ceremony.

Many more years of happiness to come for Howard and Michelle, Good Job you two!!!

Roger says “Better Late then Never”

Roger’s wedding this last Saturday at the very cool ocean view Khoury’s Restaurant in Long Beach almost didn’t happen ! You see the bride arrived a hour late for her wedding. Not so much her fault but the double stretch Hummer Limo they had rented couldn’t navigate the streets to get to the wedding venue !! Roger was hanging in there (along with the entire wedding party) but the restaurant had another wedding scheduled to happen right after their wedding. If the Hummer didn’t get their soon, they would not be able to have the wedding outside where it was planned. Thank goodness they made it and Roger was able to give them the wedding of their dreams… You see, good things come to those who wait…….

Roger’s A Lousy Liar !!

Roger’s prides himself at being an honest and upstanding guy, so it was a very difficult thing for him at his wedding on Saturday because it was a surprise wedding for the guests disguised as as an engagement party !! It would have been fine had Roger just came in at the last moment to conduct the wedding….but nooooo, the bride and groom wanted Roger to socialize with all
the “engagement party” guests and make up a “back story” that he “worked” with the bride at her place of employment. They said nobody would ask any questions of him…… Well, best laid plans……. Everybody asked him questions !!! He ended up telling one group that he worked in accounting and another he worked in human resources !!!! He was sinking fast and thankfully the surprise wedding started and it was grand !!! Roger did say that everybody came up to him afterwards and said how wonderful a wedding officiant he was and thank god, because he was not good at lying……. Lesson learned !!!

Our beautiful beach set up

One of our specialties is doing beach weddings. Our beach division does the full set up on the beach including chairs arches permits and insurance.

Today we’re doing a beautiful hundred chair set up at the end of 72nd St. in Long Beach. With views of the Long Beach skyline and the ocean in the backdrop makes the perfect place for a wedding set up.

Short & Sweet Romantic Ceremony in our Cozy Little Chapel!

Fresh from his base training in Virginia, our new military couple were united before their closest family and friends in our Edgewater Wedding Chapel Friday afternoon.

Great Officiant Pris ushered them into their new life with prayers and blessings, comments about their unique love story and vision for married life, the lighting of the unity candle, a community vow and lots of laughter, tears and hugs.

A wonderful life awaits these two!
