A Wedding at the Heritage Museum in Santa Ana by Rev. Gary

img_3078
Megan Carlin and Jonathon Burton, as well as twenty guests, flew from Seattle to Southern California for the wedding of their dreams.  Great Officiants found the perfect venue for them — the Victorian Home at the Heritage Museum in Santa Ana — as well as the inspiration of Rev. Dr. Gary Barmore to plan with them and lead them in a ceremony that included faith, fun and love forevermore.  (One of those embarrassing-but-endearing nuptial moments occurred when, after the bride’s brother escorted her down the aisle, the officiant whispered, “Where is your bouquet?”  Her cousin ran up the stairs to retrieve the bouquet from the mansion’s parlor and it was all beautiful!)   The couple and their entourage enjoyed Disneyland and Universal Studios on this destination event, and are returning to the northwest full of precious memories and wedding bands on their clasped hands!

A Very Unique Wedding !

asgfasdhfgsdhg
This one is one for the books !  Roger had the honor of marrying Andrew and Henry, together for 11 years who flew out from Boston to get married at Tom Of Finland, an erotic museum here in Los Angeles.  It was just a small group of friends attending  along with a fun, but casual ceremony.  And this was a first for Roger…… Instead of exchanging rings, they exchanged cigar bands !  It was a great time and one to remember !!

Andrew & Henry were very happy with the ceremony and said so below…..

Roger Dodger,
Thanks so much for officiating our ceremony yesterday. You are a real sport and lots of fun on top of being a wonderful officiant.  Your “sermon” was the perfect balance of wisdom and humor making a very serious event into something fun and full of life.
If you make it to Berlin in the coming year looks us up, otherwise  we’ll hunt you down when we get back to LA !

Mr & Mr Henry Richard Andrew Maniace Buzzi!”

Jacqueline & Sherman later wrote, "Wow, thank you SO much for being a part of our special day. We could not have asked for a better officiant. You spoke so clearly and really gave emotion and honesty to our ceremony. Sherman and I couldn't stop talking about how great you were … We will certainly pass your name on if any friends or family need a wedding officiant. Many blessings to you and I hope business is booming for you this year!"

Exchange of Wedding Garlands a highlight of this ceremony.

Today's ceremony between Jessica and Phu had many different things incorporated into the ceremony at the Muckenthaler.

In addition to the traditional vows, I do's and ring exchange we added a couple prayers.
They also read some personal comments to each other about their relationship and then exchanged these beautiful garlands.

The garlands represented strength and beauty. The string is the cord that holds them together the beauty of the flowers that adorn them.
I related that to their relationship as their love for each other is the string that will hold their beautiful relationship together.

The ceremony closed with a beautiful kiss and the recessional back down the aisle.

Super Heroes and Princesses Join Forces at a Wedding Ceremony at the Long Beach Museum of Art

Today was a fun and unique wedding at the Long Beach Museum of Art.

superhero wedding
Under the mild mannered tuxedos of the Groom and Groomsmen lurked their Superhero persona. One by one they walked down the aisle to their theme music and revealed under their attire their hidden true Superhero identity.

Then the Bridesmaids came out to their theme music to reveal their hidden Princess personas. One even shot an arrow to show off her ala The Brave movie.

Their Famous Wedding Officiant Alan Katz played the part as the leader of the League of Extraordinary Gentleman.

The ceremony was filled with references to the Superheros and Disneyisms.

In the ceremony was mostly improvised by Katz, he told the Superman Groom that his Bride was his kryptonite and that her had to make the choice of losing his super powers in exchange for the power of love. He chose to accept the change. The rest of the ceremony was a wonderful exchange of their personal vows and I dos culminating with a kiss that will be read about in fairy tales for eons to come.

Each table for the reception had a custom Superhero or Disney centerpiece.

May they live happily ever after.
