Gazebo wedding

Tik and Mia Sealed the Deal at Averill Park Gazebo by Suvin

20160710_154054

Tik and Mia are such a wonderful couple. They just gave birth to a beautiful child, and wanted to be legally married. They drove down from West Covina and enjoyed the cool breeze at the gorgeous Averill Park Gazebo while surrounded by their close family and friends. I even learned some Chinese to start the ceremony: Dajia Hao (Hello everyone!)

We assisted them by having one of our notaries Shari issue the marriage license, and Suvin provided a beautiful ceremony.

Mia was so happy after the ceremony, she wanted to take a selfie with me.

A Wedding at the Gazebo by Las Brisas in Laguna Beach

IMG_4020
What a cloud-studded ocean view it was!  The gazebo by Las Brisas Restaurant in Laguna jutted out over the surf, perfect for Victor Szabo and Beatrice Villareal to begin their married life together.  Led by Rev.Dr.Gary Barmore (recommended to them by Great Officiants) and surrounded by family and friends, the bride’s father escorted his daughter into the altar of earth, sky and sea.  Musical friends of the couple sang the song from Twilight, “I will Love You for a Thousand Years.” After the ceremony, the couple reminded Rev.Gary to always remember them because when they rehearsed the vows in  his Costa Mesa home, Victor’s Eastern European ears miss-heard the phrase “I give you all my tomorrows” and said to his novia Latina — a bit confused but in earnest — “I give you all my tamales.”  After a good laugh, their officiant shared some other humorous incidents from sacred ceremonies.  A joyous bond was established, and it certainly  showed during the very personal and professional wedding.

Octavio Performs a Wedding at Disneyland Hotel’s Rose Court Garden

IMG_0490
Carrie & Fernando's wedding took place at Disneyland Hotel's Rose Court Garden. This venue is absolutely beautiful as you can see from the picture. Even though it was a hot day the ceremony took place inside the gazebo so the couple and I were not hot at all and there was a very nice breeze.

We did our "My Favorite" ceremony with a few catholic characteristics added to it such as 1st Corinthians, John 4: 7-12, and A wedding prayer at the end. We also added the sand ceremony but instead of using sand I customized that tradition and rewrote it to make it for a Lego heart. The couple built a red Lego heart with their initials in white. We separated the heart in half and when we got to that portion of the ceremony instead of pouring their sands into the main container the united the heart making it complete which symbolized that uniting their lives completes both of their hearts.

This was truly a beautiful ceremony and I love when my couples get creative with different traditions and add-ins that we can provide. Carrie & Fernando I wish you guys nothing but love in all the blessings in the world! Keep letting your inner childs come out and play!

Adee & David M. - 05.09.16
Congratulations to Adee Smit & David Matl on their May 9, 2015 wedding at the Dana Point Palisades Gazebo in Dana Point, CA.  After a well-needed day of rain, the weather was perfect for this wedding with a beautiful view of the Pacific.  Everything went as planned for this small but meaningful ceremony.

Officiant Greg had the distinct honor of marrying Eric and Lauren at the exclusive and beautiful Hotel Bel Air on Sunday, March 15, 2015

Officiant Greg had the distinct honor of marrying Eric and Lauren Schaffer at the exclusive and beautiful Hotel Bel Air on Sunday, March 15, 2015.

What a fabulous venue for a wedding!  The gardens, flowers, flora and fauna are spectacular.  The gazebo, adjacent to the pond (with real swans!) was just wonderful. It is a "lifestyle of the rich and famous" venue!  The weather was extraordinary but a bit warm, especially for a California winter.

Lauren's wedding dress was very elegant and she looked stunning.  Eric's was quite handsome and his tuxedo was sharp in a very traditional style.

Greg preformed the Catholic Light ceremony for Lauren and Eric, customized for their special day. It was formal, but warm, loving and just a little bit funny.  Many of Lauren and Eric's family and guests commented on how much they enjoyed the ceremony.

All of us at Great Officiants congratulate Lauren and Eric and wish them much love and happiness in their future together.

Exchange of Wedding Garlands a highlight of this ceremony.

Today's ceremony between Jessica and Phu had many different things incorporated into the ceremony at the Muckenthaler.

In addition to the traditional vows, I do's and ring exchange we added a couple prayers.
They also read some personal comments to each other about their relationship and then exchanged these beautiful garlands.

The garlands represented strength and beauty. The string is the cord that holds them together the beauty of the flowers that adorn them.
I related that to their relationship as their love for each other is the string that will hold their beautiful relationship together.

The ceremony closed with a beautiful kiss and the recessional back down the aisle.
