Rev. Ralph was delighted to perform the wedding ceremony for Clare & Josh at the Portofino Hotel in Redondo Beach.  The date, April 21, 2017, was clear and beautiful, the location was picturesque, the guests were in a festive mood, and the bride and groom were composed and confident!  Assisting very professionally were guitarist/singer Wise (wise100doors@gmail.com) and coordinator Ida Gardner (ida@idagardnerevents.com).  All in all, a perfect day!

Natalie and Tyler got married at the Belair Bay club by Octavio

Natalie and Tyler got married at the Belair Bay club. It was my first wedding at this venue and I certainly hope not the last. What an amazing place with incredible views of the Pacific ocean! After the ceremony I started talking to Natalie’s father and we realized we have friends in common! Needless to say I will definitely stay in touch with him and start playing tennis again! And of course with Natalie and Tyler is well!

Somewhere Over The Rainbow in Laguna beach………

Roger had the incredible honor of marrying Tommy & Taylor this last weekend down in the always amazing Laguna Beach.  And to top that off, it was at a place Roger had never been to before.  It’s called Seven Degrees and it’s is a one-of-a-kind wedding venue that is extraordinary.  And Morgan, the onsite wedding coordinator is fantastic.  So not only are Tommy & Taylor getting married at an incredibly romantic place and Roger officiating doing his magic, but this wedding had amazing thing happen in the middle of the ceremony.  It turns out that Taylor growing up was always enchanted by a family friend, Dr. Robert Blake who is an amazing trumpet player and she asked him to play during their ceremony.  So half way thru, Roger introduces Dr. Blake and he comes up to the front and plays Somewhere Over The Rainbow on the trumpet !!  There was not a dry eye in the house !  It was the perfect addition to a perfect ceremony and day !!  Thank you Laguna, thank you Dr. Blake.

Sittin’ on the Dock of the Bay

Jaden and Quesia are starting out on a fresh, brand new adventure together as newlyweds as they were wed at the Reef in Long Beach with a beautiful view of the Bay. Even though they are in their early 20’s, they knew they wanted each other and no one else to grow old with. There was many advice from their parents and relatives to wait and make sure, but anyone watching had no doubt they were sure. Jaden told me before the ceremony to just make sure everything was right for his bride, that’s all he cared about. So he’s already ahead of the game. His mother also commented after the wedding, “I am losing my son, the apple of my eye! But he couldn’t have chosen anyone better than Quesia”.

The wedding of Alejandra and Kenny was an intimate affair at the South Coast Botanical Gardens in Rancho Palos Verdes

Few settings calm and feed the spirit more than a well tended garden. There is a gentleness, freshness and peace that refreshes and lifts us from the noise and demands of urban life. What more fitting place for a two people to gather with their loved ones and inaugurate their life as a married couple?

This past Saturday at 3:30 in the afternoon, I had enjoyed the beauty of South Coast Botanical Gardens in Rancho Palos Verdes. The gardens are open to the public and several couples have selected this venue because of its beauty, understated elegance and the peaceful energy of nature.

The wedding of Alejandra and Kenny was an intimate affair. Their family, relatives and friends sat in the amphitheater under a canopy of trees. One of the flower girls giggled and pointed to a rabbit, who was nibbling on some shrubs. Alejandra and Kenny exchanged personal vows, rings and started their life as a couple with the traditional kiss.

It was a typical gorgeous day at Palasides Park that was made even more beautiful by the love that was reaffirmed in the vow renewal for Charles (Kat) and Wanda Edgerton

It was a typical gorgeous day at Palasides Park that was made even more beautiful by the love that was reaffirmed in the vow renewal for Charles (Kat) and Wanda Edgerton. After 50 years of marriage they renewed their vows in front of their children and grandchildren in an all-white affair. The love and affection this family has for each other was so infectious that it captured the attention of passers-by who became impromptu wedding guests. Congratulations Kat and Wanda. May your next 50 years together be even more blessed and amazing.
