I LOVE surprises! I had the opportunity to pull off a “surprise birthday party” into a wedding ceremony with none of the guests knowing it.

Nathaniel and Priscilla let me in on the secret and all of their guests thought that I was her boss from her job at Disney.  Once everybody was in the restaurant the Bride came walking in the front door in her beautiful dress and shocked everybody! I had the awesome opportunity of seeing everyone’s faces when it happened. It was a lot of fun and everyone had a great time!

Congratulations to Janda McGee & Omar Maciel on their September 16, 2016 wedding at The Mitten Building in Redlands, CA.  The event was well-organized, despite the fact that there was no on-site coordinator.  Everything went as planned and the ceremony started “on time!” (with absolutely no glitches).  The bride and groom, as well as the entire bridal party, including the Flower girl and Ring bearer looked great!  Guests enjoyed the ceremony and were ready for a great party.  In the words of Janda … “It all started with a beer!”

The Lucky Ones Receive A Sign………..

roger-chris-liz4
Roger had the honor of marrying Chris & Liz this last weekend on the beach of Corona Del Mar in Newport Beach.  This was not Roger’s first wedding on that particular beach.  In fact he has done over a dozen weddings on that very same beach.  But this wedding stood out over all the others……… all because of a sign…………

People always talk about “receiving a sign” when it comes to those major decisions in life.  And some people will even “stretch” a particular sign to fit their decision.  Very seldom does that “sign” absolutely, 100% give you an answer for what you were looking for……..  Well, this last Saturday, that sign happened for Chris & Liz.  First of all, Chris & Liz are deeply in love and perfect for each other.  Roger knew that about them from the first time he met them.  He knew that this was going to be a special wedding and he really wanted to make it one of a kind…..  What Roger didn’t know was that Mother Nature was already going to do that for him……..….   Chris & Liz had chosen to have a morning wedding at 9:30am this last Saturday.  Roger told them he would get there extra early to help direct everyone to the ceremony area.  When he got down to the beach, everything was all set up and ready to go.  They also had set up a table with a flower vase.  Roger then noticed there was also a single red rose sitting on the table along with a piece of dried seaweed.  Roger didn’t give it any thought and just assumed that it was decorations for the table…….  Well, a few minutes later, Chris the groom come’s up to Roger and tells him he wanted to show him something.  It turns out that Chris and his two brothers had gone down to the beach very early in that morning to set up their area and get things ready for the ceremony.  And right where they had decided to hold the ceremony, were two items floating in the beach wash……. One was a single red rose, a little worse for wear, but none the less, a red rose.  Now if that wasn’t enough of a sign, floating right next to that rose was a piece of dried seaweed…….in the shape of a heart !  There are no two items that represent love more that a red rose and a heart……and both of them were there, right where they chose to have the wedding ceremony.  Chris then asked if it would be at all possible for Roger to share this with their guests, this amazing sign……  Roger said “absolutely, everyone needs to know this” !!  Roger immediately made that his opening words for the ceremony.  It was one of the most emotional openings he has ever done and there was not a dry eye among the 50 or so guests there.  Roger, the couple Chris & Liz and their guests will always remember that the lucky ones receive a sign.

Congratulations to Laura Ortega & Cory McDermott on their September 9, 2016 wedding at The Canyon Crest Country Club in Riverside, CA

Congratulations to Laura Ortega & Cory McDermott on their September 9, 2016 wedding at The Canyon Crest Country Club in Riverside, CA.  Once the wind died down it was the perfect day for a wedding – temperature just right, right on the green with a great view.  Cocktail hour was upstairs, outside overlooking the ceremony site with the same great view.  The bride was anxious and ready to go and the ceremony started on time precisely as scheduled.  Everything was just perfect (which was extra special considering that due to unexpected circumstances the venue was changed just three weeks prior to the ceremony).  All vendors did an exceptional job.

Sergio Montelongo and Ana Arciniega brought family and friends together on Sunday afternoon 9/4 for a beautiful wedding and a joyous celebration at the White House in Anaheim.  Situated in an amusement mini-park and looking just like the D.C. White House, once inside the venue’s building and grounds there is privacy and elegance.  Sergio and Ana found their minister Rev. Dr. Gary Barmore through Great Officiants, and sure enough, the ceremony was all — and more — than they could have ever dreamed.  He met with them in his Costa Mesa home, which facilitated getting acquainted and the planning of the ceremony.  Gary was pleased that the couple trusted him to express some of the service in Spanish.  Sergio and Ana Montelongo are headed for great things in their respective professions and in their married life.

Congratulations to Rosana Andrade & Tom Carter on their September 3, 2016 (Labor Day Weekend) wedding in Claremont, CA.  It was an exceptional evening in southern California – nice moderate temperature with a cool breeze.  It was a nice intimate ceremony with about 40 guests in a beautiful backyard setting. The event was well planned, the strings did a great job with the music and everyone seemed to take in the happy time the permeated the air!

It was a beautiful summer evening in the semi-rural Riverside County town of Mira Loma

It was a beautiful summer evening in the semi-rural Riverside County town of Mira Loma, as Rev. Ralph presided over the nuptials of Diana and Frank in the backyard of their lovely home.  Music from a solo violin set the mood, and about 75 friends and family members rejoiced as they repeated their vows under the setting sun.
