A Beautiful Santa Monica Wedding!

20160611_164610
Great Officiant Greg had the honor and pleasure of marrying John and Cleoneide Mulder on June 11th, 2016 at Michael’s Restaurant in Santa Monica, California.  What a hip and super-cool place!  A combination restaurant and wedding venue, the ceremony takes place in their beautiful garden, the receiving line leads directly to the bar, followed by dinner.  Everything in one place!  The adjacent giant parking structure is a delight as it is a little tough to park in Santa Monica!

The ceremony was beautiful.  The bride was a bit overwhelmed with happiness and joy, but Officiant Greg took it real slow and all went well.  Originally from Brazil, Cleoneide’s friend Rodrigo traveled on a red-eye flight for the ceremony all the way from Sao Paulo!  John’s mother Jean read a wonderful poem which added to the beauty of the ceremony.  Both the bride and groom looked fabulous!

Many of John and Cleoneide’ s family and friends commented on how much they enjoyed the ceremony by Great Officiant Greg.

All of us at Great Officiants wish John and Cleoneide a wonderful life together, and many blessings and much happiness.

Richard Smith and Cynthia Fierro chose everything well for their wedding on the 24th of June: the Portofino Hotel’s outdoor chapel overlooking Redondo Beach breakwater

Richard Smith and Cynthia Fierro chose everything well for their wedding on the 24th of June:  the Portofino Hotel’s outdoor chapel overlooking Redondo Beach breakwater; their entourage of “best people” which consisted of their six grown children;  “Ave Maria” played live on a concert harp;  a ceremony true to their vision, led by Rev. Dr. Gary Barmore of Great Officiants;  and of course, the most important choice — each other as beloved married companions, each pledging “I give you all my trust, and all my tomorrows.”

A Seacliff County Club Wedding for Great Officiant Greg!

20160618_161220
Great Officiant Greg had the honor and pleasure of marrying Jarrid and Jenna Johnston on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the beautiful Seacliff Country Club in Huntington Beach, California. The private club, owned by American Golf, is a perfect venue for a classy and elegant wedding and reception.

Jarrid and his groomsmen were very handsome and sharp in their dark gray tuxedos, and Jenna was lovely and elegant in her wedding dress.  The special diamond necklace, given by Jarrid to Jenna as part of a “series” of wedding day presents, was just spectacular and added to her beauty!

As a side story, Great Officiant Greg met Jarrid and Jenna fourteen months earlier at a bridal expo at Seacliff.  They were standing on the outside patio (were the weddings take place) talking.  Greg wanted a break, so he went outside and introduced himself noting that Great Officiants was the preferred company at Seacliff.  They asked “do you know anything about the club?”  He said “yes I sure do!” They asked “how is the food?”  Greg said “it is really great!”  Jarrid and Jenna then said “how do you know?”  He answered “I have been a member of the Seacliff Country Club for many years.”  That was it!  They booked Seacliff for their wedding and Great Officiant Greg on the spot!

Ending up at the end of the receiving line, Greg had the great fortune of having all of Jarrid and Jenna’s family state that the ceremony was the best they have ever experienced, and how enjoyable, loving and fun it was.

Many thanks to Great Officiant Beth (Greg’s wife) for the pictures, and to the staff at Seacliff County Club for their expert help and support.

All of us at Great Officiants wish Jarrid and Jenna all the love and happiness as they are now joined together as one!

Rev. Ralph had a Wonderful Wedding Weekend, marrying two delightful couples!

June 11 & 12, 2016
Rev. Ralph had a Wonderful Wedding Weekend, marrying two delightful couples!  On Saturday (6/11) Nicole & Eduardo, who both teach at the same junior high school, tied the nuptial knot at the Knollwood Country Club in Granada Hills, with a delightful Disney theme!  Then on Sunday, Sarah & Brian said their own personal vows to an intimate group of family and friends at the beautiful Descanso Gardens in La Cañada Flintridge.

Nicole & Eduardo wrote a lovely note:  “[We] want you to thank you for being a part of our day. We received several comments about how much our guests enjoyed our wedding ceremony. What we loved the most was that you made it a ceremony with meaning for us. We have clung to being still and knowing that He is God and the way you spoke about that verse was very touching to us. You are a kind man and we appreciate your compassion and care towards us.”

A aloha weekend was celebrated by Sophia and Tracy in Riverside California.

A aloha weekend was celebrated by Sophia and Tracy in Riverside California. Great Officiant Lisa Smith had the honor of performing the nuptials for this lovely couple they’re both in United States Army and have been on three tours of duty each they’ll be moving to Hawaii very soon so it was quite appropriate to have a beautiful Hawaiian style wedding. We opened the ceremony with the traditional sounding of the conch shell. This symbolizes to all that a very important ceremony is about to start.  Sophia arrived in a beautiful 57 Chevy driven by her father. They parked curbside and Sophia was escorted by her father and given away to her anxiously awaiting Groom in his full dress Army uniform. We were all happy and relived to see the sun come out for the most beautiful afternoon. We had a Lei exchange along with a Sand Ceremony we had the perfect Vows, I Do’s and ring exchange and as I pronounced them husband and wife the neighborhood ice cream man decided to drive by in all his glory blasting ice cream music !  The timing was perfect.  All the guest were socializing at the Tiki Social to be followed by dinner and entertainment a flame eater fire dancer and Hula girls were on the way to get the party started Best Wishes and Aloha to Tracy And Sophia

A Loving Couple and their beloved dog Rango……….

rogermikeangelica1
Roger had the honor of marrying Mike and Angelica this last weekend.  During the planning session for their wedding ceremony, they mentioned their dog Rango who is a MAJOR part of their life together.  Roger asked them if Rango was attending the wedding and they had considered it but had not done anything about it…… Well, Roger being a giant dog love, said they had to have him there, he was family !!  So they got permission from the venue, the beautiful Malibu West Beach Club and Rango became the official ring bearer !  So all was going along smoothly……. everybody had made their way down the aisle (including Rango – “Good boy”!)…….. the ceremony was running along with lots of heart felt moments, lots of laughter… until the exchanging of the rings… which were tied to Rango’s collar…..  Not a problem, but fearing that somehow the rings might come untied, they triple tied them to make sure they were not coming off…..and that is exactly what happened !! Everything came to a sudden stop in the ceremony while the best man, (Mike’s identical twin brother) wrangled with the multiple knots trying to get the rings.  All the while, the star of the wedding, Rango, sat there patiently while they retrieved the rings !  Rango was the star of the day !

Mike and Angelica were so happy that they wrote to Roger the very next day !!

Roger,

First of all, thank you so much for the wonderful ceremony!!   People kept asking us where we found you, and we’re so glad we did. It was exactly what we were looking for.

We never got the opportunity to thank you, however. We would really like to make that a priority, so please let us know what would be the best way to do that. And we’d be so happy to give you an amazing review!

Thank you SO much again. You made this such a memorable day for us! It was perfect.

Angelica and Mike

Another Modern Hindu Ceremony at the Charthouse in Redondo

20160604_164226
Joey and Kristen have been dreaming of this day for months now! Hailing all the way from Indiana, they came out here to Southern California to have their perfect wedding on the beach. Although overcast, we were still optimistic on performing the Hindu Fusion ceremony. The ceremony was complete with the major Hindu traditions such as the Vivah Homa/Mangal Fera (fire blessing/circling the fire), garland exchange (beautifully provided by Beth of Lei of Love), and parental blessing. There were some Bible readings to honor Kristen’s religion and culture, which capped off a beautiful ceremony.

During the vows, the sun shone through the clouds, as their love will shine through their lives forever.

They were married in front of 40 of their close family and friends, afterwards we took a group photo

After the ceremony, they went to the Sunset room at the Charthouse in Redondo beach and lived happily ever after.
