A perfect beach wedding at sunset in Laguna Beach

Craig and Janet chose to have their wedding ceremony in Laguna beach at the base of 1000 steps beach. The ceremony took place at Sunset and it could not have been a more beautiful day. With a slight breeze blowing through the palm trees above and the waves crashing along the beach. It made for the perfect setting for celebration of love.
With their dog other side and their friends surrounding them they share their vows and love for one another.

Personal Touches for Drew and Phil’s Chapel Wedding

Drew and Phil waited 16 years to get married so when they tied the knot in our chapel in Long Beach on Friday, November 22nd, they wanted to make it memorable.

Here’s what they did –

– They surprised Drew’s sister and they’re long-time family friend by inviting them to the wedding under the premise that it was a work “award lunch” and asked them to sign their marriage licenses

– They had their 4 champagne glasses engraved with their names and wedding date

– They gave both women corsages and Pandora charms to remember their special day

– They had cuff links engraved with D & P engraved for their ceremony attire…

Water and Bamboo Ceremony Highlites this Wedding performed by Mauricio our Amazing Filipino Wedding Officiant

A.Mauricio just received this video which captures the romantic and fun wedding ceremonies for which he as a “Great Officiant” has come to be known.  Following the video are a few comments taken from various correspondences sent via email by Cindy and Mark.  In the video Cindy uses her Taiwanese name, Wanjou, and Mark is sometimes referred to by family by his middle name, Justin.  Theirs was truly a very personal and joyous wedding celebration.

“I just [paid] the retainer fee… You belong to us!  Cindy and I couldn’t stop raving about you on the drive home last night.  We were raving even more after our ice cream stop, but that’s probably due to the sugar high. J/K!  …you’ve added more joy to our already joyful wedding!”  (received after A.Mauricio’s initial meeting with the couple)

“Wow, what can I say? … You described the greatest moment of my life (meeting Cindy) with colorful and personalized words…it is your great attention to detail that makes you THE officiant for us.  As for the water and bamboo speech, it is right on the money! The necessity of water, the flexibility of bamboo… You’ve described the symbolism that I knew subconsciously, but couldn’t put into words.” (received with their approval of A.Mauricio’s proposed ceremony script)

Here is the not he received shortly after their wedding.

“Thank you again …for making our wedding day smooth and successful. I’ve only been hearing great reviews from the guests, and it’s all thanks to your professionalism and talent. You’ve helped [make] our wedding truly OUR wedding. Thank you… Mark and Cindy Lacson

United on June 2, 2013 at the Long Beach Museum of Art.”

A New Family of Choice Created by this Rainbow Union – Tim & Danny

Tim & Danny’s north Long Beach home was the setting for their beautiful nuptials on Saturday afternoon.

Family and friends from near and far gathered in their backyard to witness — and participate — in a highly personal celebration of life, love, marriage, family & community!

012
This custom ceremony, penned & led by Great Officiant Pris Munson, included a reading of the powerful poem “THE TRUE LOVE” by David Whyte from The House of Belonging, uplifting thoughts about marriage, and a re-telling of the couple’s love story.

Tim & Danny also wanted their ceremony to include the unique elements of: a group blessing of their rings, a silver bar exchange, a group energy bond, and Passing The Love!

In order to create a mood of togetherness, when it came time for the ring exchange, everyone took turns silently holding & blessing the rings to the soaring accompaniment of “Cristofori’s Dream.”

041
What is very special about these particular rings is right before they were passed around, Pris announced they were Tim’s parents’ original rings from their wedding 50 years ago that they had given him 25 years ago in hopes that this day would arrive!

Later, in keeping with Catholic wedding traditions in Mexico, our two grooms exchanged a silver bar and pledged their mutual investment in caring for their home and providing for each other’s needs.

The intention of this silver bar exchange was to also remind them of the blessings of Mother Mary and the Holy Spirit and of all the good that they will experience as lawfully wedded husbands.

391
And finally, to conclude their custom ceremony, Pris invited Tim & Danny’s “family of choice” to stand and encircle them and create an energy bond by holding hands with their left hands palms up and their right hands palms down to symbolize giving and receiving.

Then, as everyone “Passed the Love” for our grooms around the circle by squeezing hands one by one, final blessings & good wishes were sent from our hearts to theirs!

It was a perfect way to usher them into marriage with one gigantic group blessing!

And even though the next door neighbor’s dog kept adding their voice to the proceedings, it didn’t really matter.

Because, as it says in Corinthians 13… “Love is patient.  Love is kind.”

A Little Lighthouse Love with Tania and Karla

Great Officiant Octavio sent us this beautiful description of his most recent wedding:

I had the pleasure of talking to Tania several times over the phone to design their ceremony and get to know each other a bit.  Tania, like every couple, was a bit nervous as their wedding date approached.  I told her she had nothing to worry about.  This applies to all of you getting married.  Nerves are something so natural when it comes to getting married.  I always say you should worry if you are not nervous.

This ceremony took place at the beautiful Lighthouse in Long Beach, overlooking the bay. Tania and Karla wore matching red and white outfits, very original!!!  It was cold and a little windy, but as soon as the ceremony started, the temperature warmed up with all the love in the air from the girls and their loved ones who were surrounding us.

Tania & Karla are such sweet girls!  I really enjoyed this experience and wish them all the blessings in the World!!!!

The Trails of Separation Make Oscar and Marine That Much Stronger

Great Officiant Anthony sent us this wonderful love story:

Oscar and Marine have been together for 8 years, and on Friday Nov. 8th, I had the honor of being the officiant for their wedding at the Wedgewood Wedding & Banquet Center in San Clemente – a lovely venue. Oscar has been a Marine for 14 years, and the couple spoke about the struggle of separation but also noted how it makes them a stronger couple.

It was a very romantic ceremony in which the couple wrote their own vows and presented them in the form of love letters and read them to each other, and they both said that they are looking forward to being parents. I felt so privileged to be present at this heart-warming moment.
