Roger Lundblade is the best! As posted on a wedding Wire Review.

Roger Lundblade is the best!

Roger Lundblade was our wedding officiant this past weekend. He was excellent! He knew just how to blend every mood together perfectly, as well as include his comedy into the ceremony. Our ceremony was one of the most talked about events at our wedding, because of him. Every guest said over and over again, “if I know of someone getting married, I will be referring Roger to them for sure.” Thank you Roger for everything, and for making our wedding day so memorable. To Waltz or Not to Waltz…or Samba…or Fox Trot

To quote Anne Hathaway in one of the most fun wedding movies of all time (“Bride Wars”), the first dance shows the world your “couple style”. Whether you agree with this or not, the first dance is a special moment for the bride and groom, and their wedding guests.

Thanks to our friends at Simply Bridal the potentially stressful task of choosing the first song, and how to dance it, is stressful no more! Their flow chart gives you a fun way to decide what might be the best choice for you! Thanks to them for this helpful “how to”!

4:20 wedding at the Crimson Mansion in Yorba Linda

Teresa and John Got married by Reverend George on Saturday at 4:20 PM. At the Crimson Mansion. What a great venue Michael the owner was friendly, helpful and gracious. The property is immaculate it looks like a model home and it is huge with both a full tennis court and a swimming pool with a cabana.

Teresa asked me to honor her mother and her sister who had gone on before her. I was pleased to honor both these woman as Teresa asked. There is always a first time for everything and I am not sure exactly what happened as we were saying the vows I think I forgot to say please repeat after me and as i was saying I Teresa take you John to be my husband Teresa said I do. I went on thinking she would catch on but like a train off track the farther I went the more yes’s and I do’s I heard til she said wait! I stopped we laughed and she said she was sorry. i said no it was my fault and we got it all on the video. I started over she repeated after me and we all got married. The weather was hot and we were treated to the music of Peggy who sang and played piano.

The videographer was a real pro as he asked me to help him line up his shot. The photographer was great as I offered to take a step back so he could shoot the kiss, he asked if I could also take a step to the side.

It was so much fun being able to announce the new couple and then direct the audience to the cabana for cocktails, adult libations, drinks and refreshments. I fine time was had by all.

A Few Wedding Ring Selection Trends

Most people think of wedding bands as very traditional types of jewelry, in that they usually appear relatively similar from wedding to wedding. To some extent this is true, as a very large number of couples prefer fairly simple bands for their wedding rings, and typically the bride’s engagement ring is really the piece of jewelry that stands out as unique. However, if you are getting married in the near future and are starting to think about picking out your wedding bands, do not blindly assume that simpler is better. Just like other elements of fashion or jewelry, wedding rings sell with trends, and there are actually a number of developments and styles that are particularly popular in recent years, and which are well worth looking into as you plan your wedding. Here are a few specific trends in wedding ring selection.

Online Shopping – While many couples still enjoy the process of walking from shop to shop to compare potential wedding bands, others are starting to realize the benefits of online shopping for wedding related jewelry. The simple fact is, shopping online can offer you a larger selection, easier methods of comparison, and even the ability to customize almost entirely. Taking advantage of online shopping is often the best way to ensure that you end up with a perfect set of wedding rings.

Alternative Metals – Additionally, matching sets of wedding rings are becoming less popular. It has always been somewhat traditional for at least the bride to match her ring to her engagement ring, and occasionally people even buy sets that include the engagement ring and both wedding bands. However, it has become increasingly popular for each person in a couple to select a ring that suits him or herself specifically. Along with this trend, many couples are discovering alternative metals – meaning metals besides gold, white gold, or silver – for their wedding rings. For example, platinum and titanium rings are quite popular.

Diamond Set Rings – Along with turning to different and more unique metal designs, many people are also starting to look into diamond set wedding bands. Whether this simply means a wedding band with a few diamonds set along its top, or an eternity ring with diamonds all along the band, it is an option well worth considering. A tasteful diamond wedding ring can be particularly nice for a bride hoping to match and emphasize her engagement ring.

Jewish style wedding ceremony in a beautiful backyard in Cheviot Hills

Lennard and Nancy just wanted to have a nice little ceremony and their families home in the backyard. They wanted to bring in the Jewish tradition and prayers that I was more than happy to help them with this.

With the wine blessing the benediction the seven Jewish blessings and finally the glass crushing at the end we celebrated a beautiful day.

With the shouts of Mazel Tov and their wonderful kiss and the champagne was flowing.

Tragedy averted. Their officiant was a no-show a no call and a no refund

A few days ago I received a call from the groom who is in kind of a panic mode. The officiant that they hired would not return their calls their email and they were left stranded.

This was the third call this week that I received that had just the same problem and as it turns out with the same officiant.

We saved the day for all three couples. Today’s couple were so wonderful and gracious and happy that we could rescue them when they got abandoned by the other officiant.

Another GREAT REVIEW

We used Great Officiants to perform our ceremony. Although we hadn’t met with him, we liked the profile we read on him and decided to choose him to officiate for us. We also asked him to join us at ou wedding rehearsal and he gladly obliged. He was very helpful to show us the rope of where to stand, how the ceremony would go in order, info about our marriage license, etc. He was very helpful and put a lot of my worries at ease. On the day of the ceremony, he took care of having the witnesses sign our marriage license, so I did not even have to worry about that. Then he performed a beautiful ceremony for us that was sweet, loving, and had just the right amount of humor. We got a lot of compliments about him and how well he did. Thank you for making our ceremony so wonderful!!! We also used Great Officiants to get our confidential marriage license. Alan Katz was super helpful with that and made it quick and easy. He is a very funny and entertaining guy. Thanks Alan! Kevin + Natalie :: September 8, 2012
